Hello everybody,
Today I wiped my phone in order to install my new rom on my LG G2 (4.4.2 rooted) using the philz recovery. Little did I know that I forgot to transfer my rom from my computer to my phone (what a fool). I then tried to use the 'mount USB storage option' withouth success.
My question is, how can I transfer my rom from my computer to my phone using the recovery? If it is not possible how can I get out of this situation (I'm even willing to go back to stock but the threads I found require to start from your phone in debuggin mode or smthg like that that I cannot do)?
Feel free to ask anything that might help you solve my problem.
Thanks in advance.

Guys,
I have a Freescale iMX515 A8 9.7" unbranded tablet running Android 2.2.
The software/firmware on there is f'ed up, because it doesn't have recovery mode. Since that's not all that is wrong, I need to update the firmware, but I don't know how.
If recovery mode works, then no problem, but it doesn't. So can someone tell me how to install new firmware without using recovery mode?
For info: I have a Mac and do not have access to a windows based PC. I also tried ROM Manager, which also doesn't allow me to install new firmware, and finally I tried quick boot, but that too doesn't allow me to utilise recovery mode.
As a suggestion (mind you, I'm a noob otherwise I wouldn't be asking for help here), I would expect a solution using adb shell, or perhaps just copy/pasting a clone of the internal TF card (most likely the best solution)
Hello everyone I need some help with my G2 its the rogers D803, First off I'm kinda a noob when it comes to flashing roms, this is my third G2 I've owned, i bought it off kijiji and its been nothing but trouble, my LTE wouldn't work and I couldn't update it to 4.4, The ota wouldn't work cause the device was not resisted. I tried to update with the LG support tool, when i would connect the device it would say update found then all of a sudden it would say your device is up to date. So i decided I would root it and flash a custom rom. I used TWRP a flashed Mahdi Rom and it worked great. Now here is where I messed up, I decided to try another rom, went into recovery and did my wipe but i accidentally wiped the system along with all the roms and zips I had on the internal storage. now its stuck i n a boot loop, I'm still able to get into twrp and also can get into download mode. my problem is I'm unable to mount the device to get my roms or even my backup folder back onto the device. when i plug the phone in i cant get the drivers to install , ive tried using ADB but my device doesn't show up on there. it does show up on the lg support tool when i put it into download mode. If anyone can help me out it would be much much appreciated. sorry for the wall of text but I'm trying to give as much details as possible.

Hi all,
I picked up a TN7 with a damagend usb port and im wondering if it is possible to flash cwm and roms using an sd card only? I have soldered a usb cable to provide power and plan on fitting a wireless charger in the future.
I installed the ota updates to 4.4.2 but im now having rapid battery drain (1% per 2mins) so wanted to try 4.3 etc to see if it is any better...
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Zeph
Hi again,
Does anyone have any advice on this? Previously i've installed custom roms on an old hannspad which I was able to do by placing CWM, the rom and kernal all on an external sd card and could then flash them in order through the bootloader. Does anybody know if this is possible on th TN7?
Cheers in advance,
Zeph.
Yes you can. I think it depends on your recovery though. If you can find a way to upload the TWRP recovery though the SD card then you're all set.
I had issues with my device and I used a stock 4.3rom and uploaded it though TWRP. In order to get TWRP though I had to unlock the bootloader and upload it through the fastboot menu which is all done through a USB cable. Sorry if that doesn't help but that's how I did it.
I think your first step is to find out if you can unlock the bootloader without a USB connection and or attempt to upload a custom recovery like TWRP.
Hey guys, it's 4am where I live and I'm becoming desperate now... Hope someone find a solution for my problem and is willing to help me.
I was using the latest CM12 nightly on my new d805 and decided to try the new CloudyG2 3.1. I was told the easiest way to do this is flashing a Lollipop bootstack (which I found here https://github.com/lg-devs/bootstack...master/d802/lp) followed by the Cloudy ROM itself.
I did it through TWRP, and then things started to cramble. On reboot the LG logo briefly appeared followed by a black screen. I've found this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2432476, downloaded the appropriated .kdz but my device isn't recognized by my PC. I've tried reinstalling the drivers and using the universal ones, but my computer just doesn't care about the phone being connected or not.
I tried to start sideload on TWRP so I could push a CM12 .zip back to the phone, but the sideload doesn't start, so I essentially can't send any file to the phone. Is there any hope for me? I'd be so happy if someone gave me a solution for this... I really can't afford to buy another phone right now and this is my only method of contact with some relatives.
Huge thanks in advance, this community rocks.

So I need a specific cable to do this? Is this the only way?
You need a normal usb-otg that can find in every electronics shop
Hi everyone,
I just want to ask for tips and recommendations to resolve my problem on my phone. I used TWRP to root the phone but failed and i also used kingo root apk apps on it but still failed. But after that, my phone just shut down and when i open it, it no longer boot and stocked in the samsung logo blinking. I tried KIES and ODIN apps to recover my phone in download mode but my computer didn't detect my phone. I tried also to wipe-up data using the TWRP progam on boot loader. I am not sure if was able to enable the USB Debugging on my device. What i want to try is if i can install the firmware of my phone using the TWRP but i just dont know what to do or what i needed to download. i downloaded the stock firmware of the phone but when i tried the TWRP to install it, it didnt work. I already go to the repair center but they just did what i did and they also failed to do. Please help me guys. I know that lots of members here are generous and willing to help each other. Thanks

Hey there,
First off, you can't flash stock firmware through custom recoveries. It can be done only with Odin or Heimdall.
Second, make sure you use the back USB ports of the computer and also try different windows versions.
Wiping data through recovery doesn't help because root apps are usually installed on the system partition.
You could probably flash a custom rom on it. It will at least get the phone working again. You can go from there.
Good luck.

Thank you.
Is the USB Debugging Option has nothing to do with the computer to detect my phone. The technician told me that they will replace the USB female socket on my phone because it was defective. I will spend much on the replacement yet i'm afraid it might not still work. The idea of installing a custom roms might work as you have said. I will try that.

The computer should detect your device no matter what. I mean, how else would you transfer files between the two, since USB debugging is disabled by default.

You made me believe more that I can still restore my device. I thank you for the great support. I will do my best.
