LG G2 Malladus 2.0.2, Wont Boot. - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Followed Instructions @ docs.google.com/document/d/1xsU9W656TA-Lw1LAlL7hqROf2QjiOI2puyDU-DDP41Q/edit?pli=1
Using TWRP 2.7 for flashing.
Tried to flash Malladus /w GApps & Only Malladus. No luck, either way.
MD5' the files, they are matching.
Device will not boot with 2.0.2
Can flash back to 1.2.9 and boot fine.
Anyone? Thank you for your time.

Maybe existing data on the internal memory is confusing the device, not sure, Will wipe all data and report findings.

with 2.0 they rebased the rom to 4.4.2 so my question is when you are flashing are you doing full wipe(system/data/cache/dalvik-cache)?

Bootloop, again

Was on cloudy's latest gpro2 rom with dorimatrix 4.8.1, updated to 4.9 and wiped cache and dalvic cache and upon first boot everything I would click force closed after a minute or so so I attempted rebooting. It would then go into a bootloop. I adb rebooted into recovery, wiped the caches, and flashed 4.8.1. It now did the same thing as it did before, followed by a bootloop when I rebooted it. Decided to try flashing to a different rom, so I did a complete backup and sent over the latest CM11 nightly. Wiped all and flashed, and now I'm bootlooping at the CM screen with no recovery access.
I remembered when I was already bootlooping that I needed to flash the 4.2.2 partitions to use an AOSP roms. A little too late huh. Now I'm stuck at the CM bootanimation and no ADB. Are my only options to use mobile odin and start over from or can you guys come up with something else?

[Q] LG G2 stuck in TWRP 2.7.0.0

Hey guys,
I am kind of a noob when it comes to android, but I'm decent with PC. I wanted to get Cyanogen mod 11, as I have used it before on previous Android phones and liked the features it had.
I was on the Kit Kat OTA update for the Verizon VS980 version of the G2. I downloaded TWRP v2.7.0.0 using AutoRec. I had put the newest nightly build of Cyanogen Mod 11 in the /sdcard file path. However, when I tried to install it using TWRP, I got "Skipping MD5 Check: no MD5 file found" in the prompt. It says the install is successful, however I am stuck in a boot loop at the LG logo. I read somewhere that totally formatting the data worked for someone so I gave that a shot and still nothing. I have cleared both cache and Dalvik Cache and completely wiped the phones memory.
I have been using ADB sideload to try to flash different ROMs to the phone, but no success. They all transfer to the phone successfully, but when the phone tries to apply them, I get the same response "Skipping MD5 Check: no MD5 file found". It says the file has been applied successfully but I am still stuck in the boot loop. I have also attempted what has been listed in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451696
The only part of my phone I still have access to is TWRP recovery mode.
Any help would be awesome. Just ask if you need any clarification.
Thanks.
Mike
The skipping MD5 check means nothing. Most ROMs I've seen say that. Which other ROMs have you tried? Since you're on 24A the ROMs have to be made with true 4.4 sources to boot. CM nighlies are not one of them. I suggest trying Mahdi. Download the newest ROM, patch and whatever gapps you prefer. Transfer them to the phone. Go to TWRP Advanced Wipe and select Dalvik, System, Data, Cache. Then flash Mahdi, Patch and gapps. It should boot up just fine.

Ill give this a shot right now. I can do this through ADB sideload right? because thats the only way i have access to transfer data to the phone.
I just tried it and it worked! Thanks so much!
Why couldn't i have thought of that...

Glad you got it! Make sure the ROMs you flash from now on are specifically 4.4.2 sourced. If you don't see mention of it you can always ask in the thread. Most of the ones that are will say in the OP you need a true KK modem. If you want CM11 again you can go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53232344. Its for 24a.

[Q] [CM12] GApps Crash On Startup

Hello,
I upgraded my Verizon Galaxy S4 from CM11 to CM12 last night, using the nightly build from 1/7/2015. The upgrade went smoothly, except for gapps. I have not been able to get them to successfully run on Lollipop. I have tried the following builds of gapps:
PA GAPPS
2014-11-09
2014-12-20
I use the following installation process each time:
Boot into CWM 6.0.3.2
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
mounts and storage > format /system
wipe dalvik cache
install CM.zip
install gapps.zip
When I reboot the phone, it gets into the lock screen as expected, but when I swipe it to unlock, I instantly get a stream of errors ("Setup wizard has stopped", "Google+ has stopped", etc). The exact errors depend on which gapps version I install, since they come with (slightly) different apps in the packages.
Has anyone had success with the Lollipop gapps packages and CyanogenMod?

I tried that one again - no dice. com.google.process.gapps crashes on startup, followed by a long list of other Google apps included in the package.
Same problem.

Nexus 7 2013 WiFi
Any fix for this? I've been struggling with it for a whole day now.
I have not found a fix. I reverted back to KitKat since I needed to use my phone during the week.
Bump
I finally managed to fix the problem. All the clean flashes did nothing, and I made sure they were squeaky clean, so I decided to start from scratch. I ODIN'd back to stock, installed TWRP instead of Clockworkmod, and reinstalled the rom and gapps package. I booted into the setup wizard and all is right in the world. Thanks for all who helped me!
Do you know what version of CWM you were running? I might try updating it over the weekend and see if that works as an alternate solution.
Try this. This worked for me.

Before adding gapps after flashing cm-12 wipe dalvik and cache, flash ktoonz lollipop kernel then flash gapps for lollipop. This worked for me.

Hey I'm having the same problem, can you describe how in Odin you got back to stock? You flashed stock and lost your custom recovery? That's weird, I figured a custom recovery was like a bios

Can't flash cm13 nightly in twrp

I'm currently running cm 13 20151211 nightly on my D802. When i try to flash a new nightly in twrp it's stuck on the flashing screen. I've let it flash overnight and it was still flashing in the morning. When i reboot the device using the button combination it boots back into cm 13 20151211 nightly with xposed still installed so it hasn't even touched the system files. I'm using the latest blastagator twrp.

I made a twrp backup of my rom, wiped data, system, cache and dalvik cache. Then I tried to flash the new nightly and succeeded. Then I flashed the gapps and did a restore of my data. The rom booted perfectly and is running smootly now. Thank you for your help!

Autorec is just the first step to twrp. Go to https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/twrp-twrp-2-8-0-0-kernel-f2fs-tools-t2898705 and get the bumped version 3.1.0-1.
Then put it in your phones memory, boot into twrp you got from autorec and flash the new version.

Hi,
It seems I have the same issue :
I tried to install LineAge, using TWRP 3.2.1 (from CM12.1), but nothing is working (I tried 20180425 and 20180404 nightly versions). After reboot I can see the backlight on the lcd screen but nothing else. Then I tested the installation of a CM12 version, all is right, normal boot. No error message written in the console. i tried also a CM13 install, same as Lineage.
Do you think I have to flask back to LG "OS" ?

Are you clean flashing? Make sure to factory reset, wipe system, data and cache before flash. Never wipe internal storage. Swipe factory reset again after flash. Try flashing gapps later after confirming that Rom boots fine.

Hi,
yes I wiped Dalvik, system, data & cache through TWRP, before flash. But I don't wipe after, I rebooted without GApps...
Maybe, because I read that somewhere, I need to flash a bootstack. I don't know when I have to di it, if I have to do.
Thanks

Yes, you don't wipe after flash, but you swipe the factory reset, it does not wipe but resets the flashed Rom. Give it a clean shot again. Check MD5 of the all files you downloaded with original MD5 to confirm the file didn't get corrupt.
Boot stack flash not needed. Please read the first post thoroughly in lineage thread
"""
Requirements:
Custom recovery (TWRP or any other)
KitKat (KK) bootloader (included in the lg-devs LP bootstack)
KitKat (KK) bootstack minimum; Please read the entire FAQ for important bootstack information. Installation of bootstacks is NOT recommended.
Clean flash if coming from another ROM or CM 13 (no dirty flash, wipe system too check you bootstack(needen bump support)

Hi,
what do you mean by "you swipe the factory reset", I'm not sure what it is, either "give it a clean shot again".
Sorry I'm not very aware of all those processes ^_^, and I'm french so not very aware of some vocabulary words
Thank you
