Hi Guys,
I was wondering if any of you use MyMobiler or another app to control your S5 screen through a PC.
On my S4 I could use MyMobiler through USB connection to check if I had any new messages and type whatsapp texts or emails directly on my device with the PC keyboard. Also with a keyboard shortcut you can activate or deactivate the phone's screen so the display is not always on.
Now I can't get MyMobiler to work properly on S5, it does make a connection and I can control the touchscreen with PC mouse or keyboard but the display is black in the MyMobiler PC app.
Maybe you guys know another way to control your phone's screen through PC?

Currently looking for .
Today icon to turn off screen so I can leave WIFI and MSN on with screen off.
Today icon to switch between landscape portrait.
Today bar that shows outgoing calls in minutes and sms texts sent.
Icon on today screen that lets me turn GPS on or off so it doesnt connect itself but I dont need dummy entries.
Task list that actually shows task title like " Walk dog " didnt like taskplus.
Remote software for TV, DVD etc.
What does anyone use for the above and what is everyone else looking for ?
woo.. I won't start about what I'm looking for - it's too much But I ordered (though it's on back order.. bah) the DevKit from MS, so maybe I'll make my own solutions in due time.
Anyway...
For the first two, just get one of the many utilities that allow you to launch a program from your Today Screen. I used tdLaunch right now, might move to cLaunch (same program, bit more functions), or use a different solution altogether. Then get...

...to rotate your screen

or

or
http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=16314 (includes a component)
...to turn your screen off. Please note that I'm using the last one, and it turns the entire screen off (not just the backlight, the LCD panel as well) - so it won't respond to taps or anything; you'll have to use the on/off button to turn the screen back on. I don't know whether the other two turn the LCD off, or only the backlight.
Then just launch the appropriate application from your today screen using the today screen launching app. Simple as that
just checked - the other two turn the entire screen off as well
You need one single SW: SPB Pocket Plus[/url]

What exactly is your definition of "crazy"?
It may just need realigning - especially if it's been rough-handled, dropped or is an "older" model.
Go to settings->system->align screen and follow the prompts.
If it keeps going crazy - see this wiki page for a fix.
If you *seriously* need to disable your touch screen (which I seriously don't recommend) then just go to the align screen and keep tapping in the left hand corner when it asks you to tap elsewhere Not an official "disable" but will have the same effect
broken
My touchscreen is broken on my PDA running Windows mobile six and I'd like to use the wheel to control the mouse.
It's not the screen alignment issue. Does anyone know how to enable the wheel to control the mouse?

you could try using the VirtuaMouse One-Hand or GRemote Pro
View your mobile screen on your desktop.
Control your mobile by using desktop keyboard and mouse.
Copy/Cut/Paste text between mobile and desktop.
Capture mobile screen.
Drag and drop files to your mobile.
Support ActiveSync / IP Connection
Support Mobile Explorer (File Browse)
Try it and work nice
thanx alot going to try it now
brilliant app,
it would be nice if it was just a little faster
Its a great little app, been using it a while. It is a bit slow and I have had some issues that when disconnecting, the device behaves oddly. For instance, pressing the "enter" button opens the start menu and the screen lock stops working.
But overall its great.
Great app... It would be nice if it runs a little bit faster. Maybe in in the next release... Thanks.
i've been using my N4 with a BT mouse and keyboard for editing etc. which works great with the phone laid horizontally on a stand.
only annoyance is that while every other screen and most apps adjust to landscape orientation, the home screen will only display in portrait..
the only way that i've found to force the HS to landscape, is to connect to an hdmi monitor via the slimport adaptor.
a tv/monitor has to be attached; just plugging in the adaptor is not enough.
i imagine it might be possible to wire some kind of hdmi dongle which would fool the N4 into thinking that a monitor is attached, thus engaging LS mode. anybody tried this?
or any other way of forcing the Homescreen to LS? an app maybe?
Have you tried this:

thanks for the tip.
that one gets mixed reviews: "causes the phone to lag" etc. and it's a pay app.
but i found a free alternative, "screen rotation control" which looks good so far.
you can set the rotation globally (incl. the Home screen) to be one of: Portrait, LS, Reverse Portrait, Reverse LS, or Auto and there's no noticeable lag.
there's also no way that i can see to disable it from the control menu. it keeps running in the background unless you force-close it; albeit the latter seems to do no harm.
this could be what i'm looking for.
Maybe its a bit late ( 3 months late) but you can also try our new app "Rotate Screen Orientation" , it has just been published yesterday, There is a free 7 days trial here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.loadinghome.rotatescreenorientationtrial
With this app you can force the device to landscape the native android launcher or any other app. Hope you find this information usefull.

You need to mod the launcher to allow rotation. It's coded to off by default.
You can decompile Launcher2.apk, edit the bools.xml and recompile it, or here's the finished file I just did for myself. Works perfectly, no third party apps required.

Is there a way to make a shortcut or even make an app (like using App Factory in Tasker) to quickly open up two multi window apps without needing to use the side bar?
I've installed Car Home for when I have my phone docked in my car and want to use one of the buttons on the home screen to run Google Music and Maps. This way when I'm driving and listening to music and want to navigate somwhere I can just hit the home button to go into Car Home's main screen then hit the shortcut button (which is a nice large easy to see button while driving) to run multi window. Anyone have an idea on how to do that? I've tried digging around but can't find a way. I'm also rooted and running xposed/wanam if that makes a difference or if there's a module which allows this that someone knows about that I don't.
Thanks.

I have not seen any way to open up 2 windows without using the sidebar.
How about putting an NFC tag on something like a piece of cardboard you keep in your car. When you want the multi - windows to appear, just move the cardboard near the phone. Thoughts?
