N7105 never goes turn off - Galaxy Note II General

Hello to all
I install this rom stock.N7105XXUFND3_N7105NEEFND3_NEE
wifi ok
root & supersu ok
But the only problem is that n7105 never goes turn-off.
It's always on.
exemple: step1 turn off the power Boutton
step 2 when I plug the charger it turns itself on and load
Thank you for your attention and I look forward to your replies

Two main causes:
1) Power Saving mode is enabled
Fix: Disable it.
2) Kernel is at fault
Fix: Flash a different kernel (custom rom/kernel only)
In your case, being on stock rom, my money is on option 1.
Don't forget to hit thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to respond
but the mode is disabled and the kernel is stock.

I think that it might be the root / rooting method. Cant remember where I read it, but I know some thread here warns that you won't be able to charge with the phone off
Reflash rom and don't root to test. Then reroot and live with it for now I guess... sorry

N7105 works very good.
Call sms ......
just remains impossible to turn over.
It always restarts
Thinks for your help

I had that same issue with my N7100.. Update to KK Bootloader and you will be able to charge with phone turned off
Hope that helps!!

is it still under it's warranty?

When my phone is completely turn off i cannot charge it is light orange diode, and i can not turn on my wildfire and when i plug out charger it still orange light,so i must plug out my batery and and place back and then turn on phone and everuthing is ok! When phone is turn on it charge normaly. And alarm-damn alarm! Not work when i scharge or turn of phone ,only way to alarm work is to select airplane mod and not charge.Frustrating.Any way to fix this?I tru another alarm app but it is same.ideas?
Device not turning on when charging in a switched off manner is a known bug of some versions of Clockworkmod (This has been discussed tons of times. PLEASE try and search next time before you open a new thread). Solution is to upgrade it to a version in which offmode charging is fixed (Example - 5.0.2.0). FYI, even in the fixed version, the colour of the LED is bugged. It will remain Red even when charged to 100%, but you will be able to turn on the phone normally.
Also, unlike Symbian S60 Devices / other dumbphones, Android does not turn on the phone when the alarm is set and the phone is turned off. (Yes, there are some things which Symbian still does better)

I had similar issue, thanks for answer it.
Thanks for answer
Thanks for the answer, but every time I flash CWM 5.0.2.0 the recovery reverts back to revolutionary 4.0.1.0. Is there any way to fix that one?
What method are you using to upgrade to 5.0.2.0? Flashing a zip is temporary, you will have to install it via an IMG file.

Yes, that's because you are using Rom manager to flash CWM recovery rom, which is temp solution. There are few methods to do proper CWM recovery rom upgrade list here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1029318
I personally just learned and did fastboot flash. So try it.
P49IMG.zip is also permanent unlike flashing CWM, right?
EDIT: It's working, thanks cocoa

S4 Doesn't turn on after downloading recent update

Hi All,
I need your help. I downloaded the latest update for the S4 this morning after i clicked yes for the phone to reboot. It didn't turn back on. Everytime I try to turn it on, it vibrates but it doesn't show the logo. I also tried entering the recovery mode or download mode but there's nothing on the screen. I also tried removing the battery for several minutes and then tried the things i said above.
Is there any other way I can boot this or reformat my phone? Please help.
Thank you very much in advance
Same here.. I had the same problem.. I did try reset it and go to recovery mode, once on recovery mode, i can choose any option because it automatically goes back to install the update. And then after installation it stuck at the boot screen again and can't turn on. I had my phone rooted before but I already flash my phone back to stock. During the period where i root my phone i never install any custom ROM and whatsoever..

What I would do is go to ebay or online stores and buy a USB JIG it works perfect on Samsung Galaxy S4
and other android phones. The price is right too, anywhere from $1.00 to $5.00 including shipping.
Here is a link worth looking at:
https://www.google.com/search?q=andr...icial&tbm=shop
JIGS are made for issues just like the ones you and @lasallegreen are experiencing.
All you need to do with the jig is first remove the battery from your phone for
20 seconds and replace it, then plug the USB jig into the usb port of the phone.
Wait a couple seconds or so and you will see the download mode screen.
Unplug the usb jig and load/open odin and after putting the stock rom in the
pda slot in odin connect usb cable from phone to computer.
Make sure the [COM:xx] lights up in Odin and click START.
Once odin successfully flashes the official stock rom the
phone will again be in perfect condition ready to use.
Your phone is NOT hard bricked, but most likely it is soft bricked meaning that it can be fixed to
come back to life after Odin flashing the official Samsung S4 stock firmware/rom which you can
find and download from http://SamMobile.com by searching by the model number of your phone.
Good luck!
Will try this method.. Thank you very much for your kind reply.. Will let you know of the outcome..

i was able to flash the stock rom using odin to see if that is the problem. I was successful in flashing but there's still nothing on my screen.
update: when i leave it for a few hours or so, there are times that the screen turns on and then it boots normally but if you reboot it's back to its frozen state. I hope someone can help me with this.

[Q] Kingo Root stuck in Odin Mode downloading screen on Note 3.

Hi Guys,
I think I messed up my Note 3, SM-N900W8. on 4.3 I thought I would give Kingo Root a try to root my phone. Everything seemed to go well until it got stuck in Odin Mode screen , " Downloading, Do not turn Target Off". Been on this screen now for more than 3 hours.
How do I get out of this screen. Not sure how to proceed from here. I hope I did not mess up my phone.
Info on screen: Current Binary- Samsung Official
System Status- Custom
Reactivation Lock- OFF
Knox Kernel Lock- 0x0
Knox Warranty Void- 0x0
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Man!!!
You don't need to go into download mode to use kingo. You just need to enable USB debugging and plug the phone into your computer
Sent from my SM-N900W8 using xda app-developers app
Either remove battery or press power button for few seconds until it turns off. If you use the latter, might restart back to system.
I have a suggestion though before you try rooting with kingo. Go to general section and find post by polish_pat. It's a guide where you can update to 4.4 and your knox ( unless it's tripped already ) won't trip even after flashing custom recovery/roms and root it.

Hey_Joe and Triavq,
Thank you guys for your response. I so wanted to remove my battery this afternoon already but was skeptical that powering down will damage my phone. After removing battery she booted up fine and as it turns out I have successfully rooted my phone. I went ahead and used Root Checker and it says successfully rooted. I don't know why it sat on that screen for so many hours.
I'm just very happy that my phone is still operational. Having a successful root is just an added bonus.
I have so much to learn with regards to rooting etc. It is really information over load.
Thank you once again!!!
Cheers!!!
Glad it worked out for you, enjoy☺

I have the same problem and I want to ask the only thing you did was to take out the battery ?Nothing else because I am terrified that I am going to loose everything
Removing the battery may be the only option. If you leave it in download mode, the battery may eventually lose power and the phone will turn off. If you have data on your phone and it will not boot, you may be able to recover the data by flashing TWRP, mounting the data partition in TWRP, and copying the files over to a computer via USB.
Same problem guys. IT said root successful then phone shut off and continued to restart until I took the battery out, then I pushed volumn down power and home button and instead of taking me to the recovery screen it took to the downloading custom os screen. Said downloading all night long. Took the battery out tried turning it on it continues to restart =[[[[ any suggestions on what I can do? I cannot unroot as I cannot access my phone via phone or usb cable bc the phone will not turn on
I pushed volumn down power and home button and instead of taking me to the recovery screen it took to the downloading custom os screen.
>>> Yes that what you have done entered download mode ..
Vol down is Download mode Vol Up is Recovery
Said downloading all night long.
>>>Yes until you flash a new firmware via Odin .
Read the instructions .
Suggest recovery mode and factory reset .
You have to put the oficial ROM in your phone,

Power won't turn on after flashing Alliance ROM. HELP PLEASE!!

So I had Alliance ROM on my phone to begin with and I downloaded this http://www.alliance-rom.com/communit...able-nd7.9054/ and installed it in safestrap recovery mode. After the file was finished installing the phone turned off. (I thought it was going to restart and well that never happened, The phone doesn't even turn on. I've taken the battery out and tried to power it on, I've tried taking the SIM and SDCard out and turning it on. I've left it plugged in and charging and tried turning it on, I'v plugged it into a computer and tried it that way. Nothing that I have tried has worked. If anyone can please help me get this working I would HIGHLY APPRECIATE IT!! I use this phone for work and to keep in touch with my Daughter. Thank you ahead of time for any ideas that may or may not work.
First thing, the link you posted doesn't work. There's dots in the middle. Second, if it won't even boot to the Galaxy S5 screen before the boot animation that could be one of two things. A. It installed a custom boot loader not meant for your device that could be fixed if you could boot to download mode, which you can't. Or b. your phone is physically broken and you'd need to take it to Verizon to get fixed. Right now it's probably the second, but I have little clue as to the ROM you installed.
This has been pretty much answered for you in your other thread. You put a rom meant for note 2 on your S5 , probably not going to be fixable. But your ONLY chance is to get the phone into Download mode. Then odin a stock S5 ROM. No longer any need to panic you have brick so...At this point remain calm and move slowly so you don't make another mistake hope you get lucky.

SM-N910F no Boot, constant restarting!

Hello,
The phone was updated to latest available firmware. This is when the problems started.. First off it would turn off after about two minutes and get quite hot, so I replaced the battery.
After battery replacement, it worked OK for a few days, then started getting hot again.. So i pulled battery and left to cool.
Now the phone does not boot at all, constantly rebooting, even when plugging in the charger. Screen flashes with battery charge symbol then reboots. I can however get into Download Mode..
This is what i receive;
ODIN MODE (HIGH SPEED)
PRODUCT NAME:SM-N910F
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
REACTIVATION LOCK: OFF
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1 (4)
QUALCOM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
RP SWREV: S1, T1, R1, A1, P1
SECURE DOWNLOAD : ENABLE
UDC START
I have no idea why it says Current Binary - Custom.. As far as I know the phone is Stock and I bought it new.
Hope someone can help me please!
Thanks!
*Update*
Played around with it this morning, managed to flash an older ROM in Download Mode... but upon reboot... stuck in bootloop
Any input how to get the phone working again please?
Much appreciated!
Bootlooping after flash the stock rom is to be expected sometimes.
What you have to do in that case, is boot in recovery (stock recovery) and perform a factory reset, then wipe user data and in the end REBOOT SYSTEM.
That may be caused by old data still in your phone, that prevent your phone from booting up.
I would also try and change my charger and cable, in case something in wrong there (apart from the batter) and the phone cannt charge it properly.
Even better, if you could use an external charger to charge your battery and then put battery back to it, just to make sure there is not something wrong in the charging process.
Have you tried to charge your phone, while be on RECOVERY? That could also help.
So, in conclusion
Make sure your battery is charged
Boot in stock recovery, factory reset and wipe data
reboot system.
Good luck

I flashed the Stock Firmware but upon reboot just back to bootloop... The only operation i can do is VOL Down + HOME + POWER to Download Mode
I am unable VOL UP + HOME + POWER.. it just reboots the phone!
Also battery does not seem to be charging while in the phone, because it turns itself on and then stuck in loop! so frustrating!
any more help appreciated?
Thanks !!

look what you have to do:
download this (windows ) application and install it on your windows pc.
This is the application that will allow you to search and download the latest stock rom for your phone.
It connect to Samsung servers and in very little time you will have a new stock rom on your pc.
choose samfirm 3.06
extract it on a folder on your PC and run samfirm.exe
in the opening menu type
SM-N910F(or T/V/W etc your phones model)
REGION..... xxx (your region code)
these 2 you can find in a sticker under your battery if you open the phone and take off the battery, if you already dont know that
tick '' BINARY NATURE''
(If you dont tick BINARY...'' you will get the whole stock rom in one file xxxx.tar.md5 to flash it in the oding using the AP tab)
CHECK UPDATES>DOWNLOAD
THIS WAY YOU WILL GET THE LATEST STOCK ROM FOR YOUR PHONE/REGION
Binary nature means the rom split in 4 files
1. BL- bootloader
2.AP - rom
3. CP - modem
4. CSC - Customer support code(region/country)
This is what a stock rom is consist of
this kind of rom is also called REPAIR ROM, because you can use it to repair your phone.
If you look in odin you will find exactly these 4 entries.
So you can put each in the appropriate box and flash them all and so have a stock rom.
UNtick autoreboot, tick NAND ERASE ALL
push start
Wait until rom flashes and ODIN SAYS COMPLETED
take off your battery and wait 2-3 seconds.
Put it back in and press and hold power+ volume UP + home
Wait untill see samsung logo appears but not let go buttons
AFTER Samsung logo goes and come again, let the buttons.
You will boot to stock recovery.
Navigate with volume buttons and perform FACTORY RESET and then Wipe user data
Then REBOOT SYSTEM.
PS make sure you have oding == or newer than 3.13.3
take it from here:
https://odindownloader.com/download/odin3-v3-13-3
*****DONT LAUGH ON THIS
before do all the above
TAKE OFF THE BACK COVER OF YOUR PHONE , your sdcard, your battery and sim
Put your phone in a zip bag and put it in your freezer for 5 minutes
Take it off the freezer, put battery and sim card on it and do what I have wrote above
Hopefully it will solve your problem and everything will go as we all wish to.

yes, I thought so.
I have been there you know.
I strangled almost a year trying to fix my damaged Note 4 (910f) which had the emmc bug.
Finally, although I did manage to flash arom (many actually), the only thing that solve the problem was to replace my motherboard.
Take look to some extremely actions, until motherboard replace, just to have an idea what we are talking about.
Its hard, its not 100% effective, but since your phone is still managing to even power up and go to recovery, or download mode, its not that damaged my mine was.
Also keep in mind, this is temporary, eventually, emmc will be complete damage(depending of the use), so motherboard will be to permanent solution only
Good luck my friend

you have to freeze the phone.
Not battery, not sim card, not sdcard.
The thing is that in Note 4, CPU and emmc are one under the other, so overheating of the CPU, trying to flash the emmc, is making their contacts lose, so flashing is failing.
Keeping the phone cold, dont let that happen and eventually(maybe), flashing and booting up, which is the most heat producing process, completes and then phone can continue easier.
As I have already told you, this is a big MAYBE and not a final solution.
Changing the motherboard will be.
Took me 15 days to manage to boot it up for the first time.
Manage to keep it with broken motherboard almost a year, then one day, I saw smoke coming out of the usb when charging it. That was the end.
New board and charging port has made my Note 4 like new.
