Will rooting my s4 void my warranty. - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have i9500 with 4.4.2 update. how can i root it without voiding the warranty. Is there any way. i tried searching the forum but didnt find relative answers with 4.4.2 Android. Please need help here.

4.4.2 out of luck
there is no saferoot
if you want to root you will void the warranty
but dont care about warranty, your phone will have 2 years warranty then it will end and your phone will be old enough
just enjoy your phone ! you paid for it !

So there is no other way. if i root warranty Void.

Unfortunately yes !

[Q] Rooting Unrooting Installing Only Official Roms on I9500 to Reclaim Warranty

Before anything, I have searched and searched on this topic, although I have found information on unrooting and reclaiming warranty, it seems to be focused on the I9505 version, so here goes the question:
I have the I9500 variant of the S4; I've always rooted my old phones and reclaimed warranty with Triangle Away and so on. Apparently, the Triangle Away app will never work for the I9500 variant. I would like to know if I can Root and Unroot my galaxy s4 I9500 variant without losing warranty. In addition, if I root, I will then only be able to update by downloading official firmware from the sammobile site. If I root my phone and eventually update to the official 4.4 firmware from the sammobile website using ODIN and then decide to unroot to reclaim warranty, will that be possible? Will installing the official firmware through ODIN cause the binary flash counter to change?
I really want to root my phone and maintain updates even if I have to download manually from the site and update through ODIN, but I also want to keep my 1-year official warranty and my extra 1-year extended warranty.
Nothing?

Don't flash anything on your phone if you want the above guaranteed.
Though this wasn't a primary intention so far as Knox is concerned, making it difficult to dud Samsung on warranty claims (I.E where you've clearly used the phone in a manner which breaches the warranty conditions) post-Knox is a nice little bonus for them (and frankly, I don't blame them).
The moment you start flashing stuff to your phone, you should lose all expectations of any warranty.
It depend on in what country you bought the phone if you even will lose warranty by rooting and flashing.
And if you already have a knox bootloader. If you don't have knox bootloader, then just go ahead, root, flash etc. If you do have a knox bootloader, then rooting and flashing will trip the counter. Then it depends on in which country you live if you will get warranty again

[Q] root 4.4 kitkat (warranty)

Hi i have a question to ask . I bought my note 3 1,5 month ago and it is with a 2 year warranty . Is there any method to skip knox and not trip warranty i. i have seen root de la vega ( i think it is not yet available or it would be i am not sure ) , also i saw that triangle away is available but i dont know how this afects warranty . Also i know that 4.4 kitkat is not so stable and developers are waiting for a more stable update . I hope someone can guide me . TY
@panospao7 the short answer is: NO, you can't root kit kat without tripping knox!

Unfortunately root de la vega does now not work anymore without tripping the e-fuse thus disabling your warranty. This is because Samsung have caught onto the fact peope were trying to bypass the Knox counter and so patched the bootloader. I must say this is the reason I left Apple all those years ago. When we pay for something we should have to right to modify it as we want. Seems Samsung are following apples ways. My suggestion would be to wait until your warranty has run out. Then root your device !!!!

If u r still on old 4.3 bootloader, yes rudlv will work. But if on newer 4.3 bootloader and up, rudlv won't qork without tripping knox.
And other method if rooting will trip knox for sure.
And even u successfully root ur current device without tripping knox, once u update to kk, u will have to reroot again, and this time... no mercy.
TA is not able to revert knox as well.
And this knox issue, in some countries, the service center still never consider the flag. U have to check it urself.
If u really need root access, then u may forget/ignore ur warranty.
As for me, I need it for work, therefore... hell with knox warranty.

Thank all for the help . I will wait 1,5 year to go root or samsung to change its policy ( something that in at least 2-3 centuries might happen

[Q] root galaxy s4 i9505 android 4.4.2 Knox 0x0

Hi guys,
I got my s4 i9505 2 weeks ago.
After booting I updated to Android 4.4.2. After I did that I did some research on how to root my device and was shocked about what I found out. I understand that there no chance of rooting the phone without flipping Knox tag (thus void warranty). I understand that there is a way (saferoot) if you have a pre 4.4.2 rom which I don't have any more. I read in the Knox Q&A that there is a method called root de la vega which does not flip the Knox tag. But if I understand the thread right you have to flash a rom and that will flip the Knox tag. I am lost here.
Further more I read that Samsung sometimes refuses to repair even hardware damages if the tag is flipped to void warranty.* I paid so much money that I really do not want to take that risk.
I could not find answers to the following questions. Maybe u guys can help me:
Is it true there is no known way to root a s4 with android 4.4.2 without flipping knox voiding warranty?
Is there no way to go back to a previous rom and use saferoot without voiding warranty?
Are developers working on a solution or will I have to decide to void warranty if I want to have root?
What does the Knox 0x0.sh in root de la vega method do ?
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks guys !
There is no way the S4 to rooting without the Knox Counter to increase.
There is also no way to get back on Android 4.3 back.
To my knowledge there has not yet made no developer Knox to crack.
But your device i9505 support triangleaway so you can clear your flash counter but for i9500 it doesn't support yet.

Towelroot seems to be an option.
I managed to root my device Knox 0x0 !! Can you guys comment on that ?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Free mobile app
yeah, I used towelroot and no knox was triggered !! amazing!
rooting 4.4.2
If you are on stock rom you can downgrade your kernel via odin and use towelroot to root without tripping knox. Then flash back the correct kernel for your room. Knox 0x0 but device status will be custom.

Use search next time..
Knox is build in in the last generation of Samsungs phone. if you flash something custom, the Knox warranty will be void.
Which means;
No Warranty, and there is no going back if you voided it. If you don't want this you might want to check the root de la vega.

Yet everything works like it should when the Knox is void. you just don't have warranty.
thread cleaned.
Also this:

S8 SM-G950F Root

Sorry if this is already been asked.
Just new to how Knox works with root.
I'm currently on stock Rom with Knox intact, is there a way I can root without tripping Knox due to having 2years warranty on the device, or would I just loose warranty completely after rooting due to voiding it.
Thanks
Never mind I rooted now with twrp and custom Rom.
Admin remove please
Thanks
