Which app are you using and did u check root permission in app?
Edit. Sry root Explorer just read it. Try es file Explorer and check root permission.

Root Explorer Pro is top one, permission is ok.
used NextApp SD fix, still same error
EDIT: found the reason, i was moving some songs, some of them has symbols, renamed those, and managed to move all!!
Stupid Google!(^o^)

[Q] ES file explorer or TitaniumBackup can not delete system apps

Hello,
i9500, Stock MJ8, rooted
I just updated to 4.3 MJ8 and want to get rid of some additional system apps.
I run into 2 problems:
1) If I use ES file explorer (Root enabled), I can access the files, but the delete operation fails because "read-only file system", although I can see that read and write is enabled for root. Permissions for the folder are "rwx r-x r-x", the file permissions are "rw- r-- r--". Actually, it shows me that I have read and write permissions on both folder and file but I have no idea how to change them, if necessary.
2) Instead, if I want to delete those system apps with Titanium Backup Pro, I (or better TitaniumBackup) simply does not find them. One example is the system app "InteractiveTutorial.apk". If i enable all filter criteria, TB just does not display, although I can see that it is in the /system/app- folder. This is valid for many other system apps. A support question to TB was not answered.
I checked the search within XDA, but I either get 2900 results or none. TB-website and EStrongs website also didnt help me.
Does anybody of you have a helping hand for me, please?
Kind regards
Your going to need root explorer for that

I know. But root explorer is better and easier when it comes to deleting system apps. I don't think u can delete system apps from es file explorer.

Used another explorer and succeeded. Strange thing: It worked with the old version of ES file explorer but not with the newer 3.x.
Thanks for your help, guys.

- Which method you've used to root your device?
- Did you use the app to Check root?

Usually, there are advanced options in the file explorers to gain root in them.
Anyway, you shouldn't have any issues deleting your own files. Maybe you are trying to delete files which are on a read only mount (you need to switch to R/W).

How To Replace the ContextService.apk? For My Specific Model?

So I rooted by Galaxy S5 SM-G900V running 4.4.4. (please be specific, Im new to this). My device is ALREADY rooted and 100% confirmed, as I used root checker.
And now everytime I open gallery or do certain things, It tells me "Unfortunately, Context Service has stopped working."
I read on a thread you can Rename or replace the ContextService.apk file located under /system/priv-app to fix it, So where do I get a non corrupt copy? And how do I access the /system/priv-app area? Connect to a pc?
Also, wouldnt replacing with a non corrupt version be more important that renaming it and no longer working? Do we not need it?
update
So I downloaded Root Explorer app to find that "/system/priv-app area" and nothing. I can not find any "system" file or Priv-app area.
Thanks
You need to root your device. For file explorer try ES File Explorer for root browsing.
already rooted

Need help using SHealth with root. (Oreo)

I just restored my S7 Edge to as stock as possible using Odin and software from Sammobile. Now I can't use my Gear properly because of 'security reasons'. (Gear app works, but not SHealth)
I was planning on using SuperStock to bypass the tripped Knox, but afaik it's not working anymore. Is there another method? I don't really need SPay or stuff like that. Im willing to root or installing TWRP again if I have to, but not a custom ROM.
Follow the steps below to remove the S-Health block.
Download a root file explorer (such as Root Explorer, Root Browser or ES File Explorer).
Open the root file explorer and go to the /system folder.
Open the file named build.prop in text editor
In the build.prop file look for ro.config.tima=1
Change this line to ro.config.tima=0, simply changing the 1 to a 0
Reboor phone
Run the S-Health app
From this thread; https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/guide-how-to-s-health-devices-knox-t3543306
Can confirm it works on Oreo following these steps.
