Recently I have decided to root my phone however I am having some trouble. I have tried Odin and MotoChopper for rooting my phone however, none of them work. When I use motochopper the SuperUser app is downloaded onto my device however when I try to open it, I get a pop-up saying "Binary needs to be updated" I click the recovery install button and it says contact the developer for help then it closes out.Another thing I have noticed while rooting with motochooper is it says "Success then rooting phone... this may take a few minutes. Failure. Cleaning up..." If someone could please help me I would really appreciate it! The info on my phone is given below:
Model Number: SAMSUNG-SGH-I337
Baseband Version: I337UCUFNB1
Carrier: ATT
Android Version: 4.4.2

Hi all, really need your help. 2 weeks ago I bought this device, before never used android. 3 days ago by connecting it to a computer, the Kies software has given the message
"that there is a new version", I agreed, and then device as if replaced, it start to work slowly stucking on some screens, such as phone book or phone itself, it gives a strange message, that he had to stop the work of a program. Then I tried to solve the problem, but everything i did not fixed the issue, I even think that made it worse. I did the following things.
I tried to root device, did it as it was written on some site, after a Odin has finished, I found SuperSu program, but SuperSu wrote that the binary ihe s not installed, checking the Root, no root access. 2 Performed Data factory reset twice did not helped, Performed to flash again the latest official firmware, but also did not helped, the problem not solved, Uninstall SuperSu. no longer know how else to help themselves, need professional help.
Please write me what should i do? how can return the previously firmware, or how to root it correctly and install new Rom.

Try Emergency Firmware Update in Samsung Kies, it will full format your phone and reinstall the stock version for your phone
Hello,
I apologize if there is a post about this but I did not see one when looking.
So as of the OTA update to 4.4.2, I am no longer able to turn on my wifi at all. When I try to toggle it, I receive a notification from Knox that it has blocked it. I had tried to root my phone prior and Supersu was unable to install because it couldn't get past knox before. (this was prior to the OTA update to 4.4.2). Now that I am updated, my phone barely functions without freezing, and I can't turn on the wifi. I'm not very experienced with rooting Android phones so please forgive me, but how can I restore my phone to an older firmware or how can I root/fix it in its current state. I have tried Saferoot with no luck and Supersu is still unable to disable Knox. Any assistance / advice is greatly appreciated!
Info:
Sprint SPH-L720
Software Version L720VPUEMK2
Hardware Version L720.08
Android Version 4.4.2
Build number KOT49H.L720PUFNAE
Security Software Version MDF v1.0 Release 2

Your update failed to completely go through. Versions and builds should end in the same suffix (NAE), You can try to manually install NAE a second time to see if the update completes. If that fails, I know there is a thread to help with that issue further.

in order to fix you have to flash the old update via odin but you need to check and make sure you have the mk2 bootloader and you can check by downloading phone info from the play store
This is where I downloaded the MK2 file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2601443
This is the directions I followed to do it, I used the MK2 file inplace of the MDC (4.2.2) file though. http://qbking77.com/development/how-...ung-galaxy-s4/
After you do that it may freeze at the sprint logo which then you need to put it into recovery mode and clear cache and factory reset.
after that you can try the upgrade again by going into settings, more, application manager, all, google services framework, clear data and force stop, then go check for update in system update and it should redownload the update and lat you install it again.
Hoped this helped

Worked perfectly! Had to data wipe to get out of boot loop but other than that no issues. Phone is fully functional! Many Many thanks!
So I tried rooting my galaxy note 4 (Baseband: N910AUCU1COC4, firmware version: 5.1.1) using KingRoot. After it was done it said that it was rooted, but once I rebooted it wouldn't go to the home menu
So I did some research and came upon Kies. I tried using that but it wouldn't even connect to my PC via USB
Then I tried Odin to try and install a stock firmware (N910AUCU1COC4 version 5.0.1), but everytime I did that it would just give me the fail message "SYS REV CHECK FAIL: Refer 2 > Binary 1"
Please help. I just want to be able to use my phone again. Is there nothing I can do?
keep in mind this is my first time using any of these programs and i'm extremely new to this. I'm really desperate at this point
any help is appreciated. thanks
Anyone?
Nevermind, I fixed the problem by flashing a stock rom with a different baseband (N910AUCU2DOI2) from here http://androidromupdate.com/att-galaxy-note-4-sm-n910a-stock-firmware/ and now it's working pretty much perfectly...
...except I don't have my mobile data anymore. Can someone help with that?
I managed to fix that problem as well using this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faZArwrXIO4
Hello, I hope this is the right place to ask for help when trying to root your phone.
First of all, here's some data about my Phone:
Model-number: SM-A300FU
Android-Version: 5.0.2
Kernel-Version: 3.10.49-6027881 [email protected] #1
Build-number: LRX22G.A300FUXXS1BPE1
Knox-Version: Knox 2.4
Tbh, I've never rooted a phone before, so there might be a few things I've overseen.
Until now I just tried to root via kingoroot (Can't post the link because I'm a new user) on windows (Laptop) since I'm somehow not able to install the apk on my phone (yes I did allow download from outside of the playstore, although only for this one installation). I didn't do anything else but allow usb-debugging and klick on the "root"-button on the software.
The rooting process then seems to continue kinda well, until it reaches 99%, where I have to klick on a Showing Messagebox which says that my phone will now get flashed with Odin3 Software. After I pressed "OK" my phone then goes into download-mode. As I tried it, it stayed there like for almost an hour until I chose to cancel it. Kingoroot then tells me that the rooting process failed, but everything else seems fine, so luckily my phone didn't got bricked.
My question now is, how do am I able to root my phone now? Should I just give it even more time in the download-mode, do I need to unlock the bootloader first (don't know if it's already unlocked tbh) or shall I install the Odin3 software on my laptop and try to flash without kingoroot? (Don't know if kingoroot contains Odin3, but until now I didn't install it myself)
Thanks already in forward to anyone willing to help me.
