I have been having a heck of a time trying to figure out why my bluetooth headset volume is so low. The bluetooth call volume is fine but the MS Voice Command, Media player, etc volume is low. I have played around with the AudioPara.csv file but it has never made any difference. If I plug my wired headphones first, then turn on my AudioGateway program the volume is perfect and the sound quality is excellent. So my question is, is there a way that I can force the phone to think it has a headphone connected before I enable the AudioGateway? I know that the phone can tell when the headphones are connected because if I try to run the HTC equalizer it tells me to connect the headphones first.
I have done tons of research and testing and I am still coming up empty.
I would like to ask a favor, I need someone who has a Bluetooth headset and a stock wired stereo headset.
First install acbToggleBT, this program allows you to open a connection between your headset and your phone. You can skip this step if you already have a toggle program.
http://www.acbpocketsoft.com/Products/acbToggleBT/acbToggleBT-Free--3.html
Next, play an .mp3 using windows media player or your favorite player.
Leave the stereo wired headset unplugged and run acbToggleBT, this will connect your phone to your headset. You should hear music through your Bluetooth headset. Make a mental note of the sound quality and volume. Run acbToggleBT again to turn off the bluetooth connection. Plug in your wired headset so you hear the music. Now run acbToggleBT agian.
Is the sound quality much better? Is the volume twice as good?
I have been playing with the AudioPara.csv file but the settings don't seam to help. I found the Speakerphone uses the settings in rows:
A12,CE_PLAYBACK_HANDSFREE
F26,CE_PLAYBACK_HANDSFREE
I found the HeadPhones use the setting in the rows:
A17,CE_PLAYBACK_RESET
F25,CE_PLAYBACK_HEADSET
I also figured out Column 4 affects the volume. I tried coping row F25 into F26 thinking that the bluetooth was using the Headphone settings when the headset is plugged in. I also copied the rows into the bluetooth row and it didn't make any difference.
I have one of those little mini usb to 2.5mm stereo adapters. If I plug the adapter in before I activate my bluetooth is sounds great.
I have come to the conclusion that I need an application or program that can enable the headset profile before toggling the bluetooth connection. Effectively making the mini usb trick unnecessary.
One final though, I am using a plantronics 510. Maybe its the difference between a stereo connection and a mono connection. Maybe plugging in the stereo adapter fools the bluetooth to think it should connect in stereo. Is there a trick to make the phone think the bluetooth headset is a stereo device?
I have paired my Motorola Stereo Bluetooth headset to my HTC Surround. Music plays fine but when I play a video the sound comes from the phones speakers. I have not found a way to fix this and get video sound to come through my Bluetooth headset.
One note is that when I plug in a wired headset, both video and music play through the wired headset. This issue only seems to be with Bluetooth Stereo.
Anyone else seen this or have a fix?
I've had the same issue with my bluetooth headset.
With a connected Stereo-Bluetooth-Headset i can hear all Audio from Music or the StreamingClient for Ampache in this Headset.
But all Audio from Video or Xanox-TV it will play Audio only with the Speaker.
Connect i the cabled Headset then it plays all in the cabled Headset.
It this an Tweak in the Registry for Windows Phone 7.5?
The Phone is a LG-E906 with Windows Phone.
Trying to use a Motorola s10-hd with my nexus 4 and the headset pairs fine and the controls on the headset can skip tracks, enable voice search and turn volume up and down but the audio still only plays through the phone not the headset. Wtf?!?
Anyone have any idea what's going on?
Tried resetting the headset and rebooting phone but still same issue.
Yup. Same headphones, same issue. Some more info: I use P.A.C. 20.1.0 with Franco kernel milestone 1. The headphones initially work upon first discovering but never works after that. The sound plays through the phone speakers even though it says connected. Really frustrating. Tried unpairing, rebooting, resetting the headphones, to no avail.

Not ideal I realize, but you can get a Bluetooth adapter for your TV for about $30
TaoTronics TT-BA01 Wireless Portable Bluetooth Stereo Music Transmitter (Not A Bluetooth Receiver) for 3.5mm Audio Devices (iPod, MP3/MP4, TV, Kindle Fire, Media Players...) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004B8GF7Y/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_AYaQub10TC9DQ
my bluetooth beanie wont pair either.
Unfortunately my LG 3d tv doesnt even have a 3.5mm port! only optical or hdmi
Pairing Successful!
I found a workaround to pair my LG HBS-830 since doing a regular bluetooth search in the nexus player doesn't detect any headphones.. However, I'm now looking for another workaround to actually route the audio to the headphones!
To pair your headphones, just install ES File Explorer, and when you open it, there is an option to use bluetooth to connect to other devices in order to transfer files. However, when you do a scan for devices, the headphones actually show up (when set in pairing mode), and by clicking on it, it will automatically pair and appear in the nexus player's list of paired bluetooth devices.
By switching your headphones off/on, it automatically connects to your nexus player and even shows connected under the list of bluetooth devices, however no audio is routed to the headphones by default.. it is still routed to TV speakers.
So here you go, pairing is done.. let's now try to route audio to those headphones!
Hope this helps!

i was able to pair my headphones but they show up as a remote...its pretty silly not to ahve bluetooth audio built into this device. how about a "the wife is asleep" mode lol
My pom100 headphones pair just fine but I wanted a Bluetooth receiver I could use with my audio technicas. I have an mpow I use for the car and I tried using it with the nexus player. It can see it but cannot pair. Anyone have a receiver that DOES work?
