Just flash the kernel which suits your phone's version from post below (#1903 in thread you linked) via recovery.
After doing so, after turning on your phone, go to setting>about phone and click on "build number" several times so you unlock developer settings, then go to settings>performance>processor and change maximum frequency for the value you want.

YES it works! Thank you!
Max. Freq, of L5 with custom Kernel
Hey there!!
As i know, the L3-5-7 use Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227 series, so you can use a new kernel used on the CM11 builds to get 1GHz on the SoC. But, i recomend to use only 800 because this phone get so hot on +850Mhz.
Greetings!!

Yeah, put it on sd card, boot to recovery and flash it.
Thats what I did, it installed it or something in less then a second but nothing changed.
Kernel information didn't change ? The kernel name should change to a very long name with jacob inside.
No it didn't change, now I have a CyanogenMod rom, with Jacob's kernal but no the one that you can overclock with.
Did you try oc'ing in SetCPU? The kernel is not overclocked by default because then, some users had problems booting with the pre overclocked kernel.
SetCPU is officially available on the XDA Forums. Just perform a search.

I have SetCPU, can you write down how to flash a kernal step by step for me?
I would really appreciate it.
Really, its the same as flashing a Custom ROM. If you were able to flash one, you should be able to flash this as well. (Restart in Recovery Mode, Install Zip from SDC)
BTW, it should show this under Settings > About Phone > Software Information > Kernel Version - [email protected] #1
This will show the kernel is successfully flashed. What is the maximum you can see in SetCPU? Is it still 528?

You might wanna give him TF3 Full instead if he wants to use 4 cores instead of 2, or maybe something like TF133 if he's on 4.2 :good:

Hi,
Dorimanx has defined profiles for different usage. I would guess that extreme battery profile is the one you are looking for. ( is to be set in the profile tab in stweaks app)
@dorimanx , sorry for ask this, but, wich stock rom did you flash? D? Or B? I can't remember
30B he did..
me too
Kernel compile
Hi,
As I'm curious, I'm trying to compile dorimanx kernel jus to see how all this is working.
So I've pulled three repo (crosstool-ng-by-dorimanx, DORIMANX_LG_STOCK_LP_KERNEL, lp_ramdisk_dorimanx )
when I run ./default_build.sh I have this error:
android-toolchain/bin/arm-eabi-ar: error while loading shared libraries: libfl.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
both libfl-dev i386 and x86_64 are installed on my 14.04 Ubuntu system.
If any of you know what is the problem, please let me know ?

Had the Same issue, Check if stweaks Has root acess
Spoiler
LG G2 D802
Dorimanx LP Kernel
Stock LP
ViPER4AndroidFX+Poweramp
? ATH-M50x ?
Thank you for excellent kernel. I was so angry because of stock.
What exactly is 'UltraSound high performance audio hardware'? Another tweaks to audio drivers? I must say that sound quality on kitkat dorimanx seems to be better than other kernels.

Update: dorimanx app == stweaks.
I am already that long on Aosp i didn't even knew.
It has root access, still no go
maybe delete /data/.dori Folder and reflash kernel..

Hi guys, fairly new to modding my phone, have tried a few different roms and kernels over the last week, and have sort of settled on cyanogen CM12.1 lolliop 5.1.1. with the kernel that comes with the rom. I've been seeing a few posts/roms that claim its possible to overclock the processor to 2.7ghz now I've tried to install synapse, and stweaks neither of which seem compatible, so I have kernel adiutor installed, but the max frequency it will offer me is 2,3 ghz, am I missing something? can't seem to find any info, can anyone point me in the right direction please

No apps can overclock if the kernel doesn't support the overclock.
Not all phones can can reach so high overclock.
Get arters kernel for cm12.1. Or use cm12.1 by temasek which supports up to 2.5
Thanks for the advise, I'm going to install arters kernel now and see what happens
I installed the arter kernel, and still no overclocking, also reduced my Antutu bench from 45403 down to 3400ish, so gone back to cm12.1 kernel for now. any ideas why I can't increase mas cpu speed?
Maybe it doesn't support till 2.7GHz. Try different kernel

Ok. well I have an update, I flashed the kitkat 4.4 liquid smooth rom yesterday, and that allowed me to overclock the cpu but unfortunatly, even overclocked it was slower than Tamasks cm12.1 rom, I also tried the liquid smooth lollipop rom, but again, it didn't allow me to overclock the cpu, it was faster than the kitkat rom, but still not as fast as the cm12.1 so I've gone back to that for now. Its looking like something to do with the lollipop version of android thats stopping the cpu from being overclocked....
Hm strange
