On-Screen Keyboard "Click" Sound Question - Windows 8 General

Hi, all. I actually don't have a Surface, but I do have a T100. I figured the Surface community would be far more active, and it applies to both platforms.
Is there a way to increase the volume of the on-screen keyboard 'click' sound? It used to be loud enough, but after updating the volume of the keystroke 'click' has been greatly reduced. I actually like the sound as it provides something of a replacement for tactile feedback when typing. I know where the option is to turn it entirely on/off, but I can't seem to find anything online about increasing the actual volume.

Side scroll wheel for volume control ?

Hello,
Is it possible to affect permanently the side scroll Jog/Wheel to volume function (up/down) instead of the classical menu scrolling function?
Unfortunately, this button (side wheel) does not appear in the key parameters menu.
Is there any registry value to activate it, or any software to install?
PS. This function exist by default in HTC Excalibur/s610 for example, where one can affect the side Jog to menu navigation/scrolling or just to volume control.
Thanks in advance,
Cyrus.
The big question is, why the hell would you want to change a full wheel control into a useless jog volume control. How often do you change the volume on your phone?
No offence but i just cannot understand why you would want to.
On my phone i map the side button to vibra switch when held down so you can change between ring and vibrate.

The answer can be as easy and simple as the one of El_Mariachi
Let’s say that I realised this need when using TomTom in the car...
As my Trinity sound is always low (1st case or just vibrate) on classical use. When using the Trinity in the car and starting TomTom... The sound is really low and practically not audible (always forgot to increase it before)
And believe me that when driving and trying to switch to today screen and then clicking the sound icon and increasing the sound just by your fingers is a highly not recommended thing to do
Get some software with profile switching ability.

I use CoPilot as an alternative to TomTom and CP maps the jog wheel to volume control whilst it is running. Very useful but more importantly it demonstrates that it can be done.
@ Loboman & Jazza: Thanks for the helpful informations.
As an information: In TomTom ,the side wheel also controls the volume (but only the TomTom volume). The main volume is always the one of the phone. Meening taht if the phone sound is low... Even if the TomTom volume is at the maximum, the resulting volume is low.

Behaviour of Volume slider

I searched for this, but couldn't find a satisfying answer... Until now I always used profile software, but figured it's too much overhead for what I need, I essentially only change the ring volume depending on situation.
Now when I use the volume slider on the Homescreen, the left Volume slider moves (the one with the PDA symbol). However, this doesn't influence the ring volume, which I would need. I never need to adjust the click volume...
Is there some setting to change the behaviour of the volume slider?
On a sidenote: I also noticed that the speaker volume while using the phone is too high, even when I'm in a call and move the slider to the lowest position. Can this be reduced somewhere?

Adjust volume to 1-19%?

I've seen a lot of posts about volume being too quiet, but none about being too loud. I have a Jabra wired in-ear stereo headset, and putting the system volume to it's lowest, non-muted, setting of 20% while turning down the volume of Slide2Play to it's lowest, it is still too loud. It's not too loud to listen to, I just mean I want to be able to make it barely audible if I have to, for instance if a co-worker says something I don't want to be forced to take the headset off.
Is there any way to adjust the volume to somewhere in the 1-19% range rather than 20% being the lowest?
The headset is pretty comfortable, so I'd hate to have to buy an out-of-ear model which I imagine would be less loud at the lowest setting.
Mind you, I don't want to lower the overall volume. I like that it can be loud too, I just need it to be a little more quiet when I'm in the zone trying to bend a piece of code or SQL statement to my will so I don't miss what people say around me.. hehe.
just open ur headset and put a higher value resistor in it.
hope u understand my words.
Thanks for the advice but I'm not much of an electrician.
I'm more looking for a program, cab or registry tweak that allows for greater control of the volume rather than the simple Mute, Quiet, Medium, Loud, Louder, Very Loud settings that our BAs come with.
I found a cab that allows you to adjust the bass and treble which was very handy, but I can't seem to find one that allows more refined volume levels all around.
hv u tried the SRS WOW HD? it has a tab to adjust the input and output gain it decreases the volume level.

Hmm, that SRS WOW HD does help. Although it seems to like to completely mute my device if I unplug my headphones, or plug them in. It kind of seems like I need to reset the device after I plug or unplug my headset.
Kind of annoying, but music does sound better and I can make it more quiet. Thanks for the suggestion.
Anyone know how to keep it from disabling sound on my device when I plug/unplug my headset?

Distorted chiming sound while adjusting volume - normal?

Hi,
I seem to be fairly happy with my HD2 in terms of sound etc - then again I'm not all that picky when it comes to volume I can hear it and the volume control gives me a good ranges of options from quiet to loud so happy days!
However, when adjusting the system volume from the main home screen (and btw have mine set to the default 'single volume' setting) for each up/down tap I make the chime/beep it gives is terrible sounding - like the speaker is completely knackered! That said, when the phone rings / nav directions / txt message alert / speaking to another person on the phone it seems fine.
Anyone else noticed this?!

[Q] Loud Clicking Sound from Trackpad?

When I press down on the trackpad on my MT4G, it emits the loudest clicking sound. The other four buttons emit a clicking sound as well, but nowhere near as loud as the trackpad (in the middle of those buttons). Why the hell is it so damn loud? CLICK CLICK CLICK! Luckily I don't have much of a need to use it, but when I do use it I find it quite annoying. I really have only used it to light up the display when it's off to then unlock the phone, instead of pressing on the button on top of the phone.
Anyone else experiencing this?
