As far as I know there should be a button to 'switch calls' but no choice like that. Can you provide a visual of what you are speaking?
so this is how it look on my phone.
I called a hertz location, then i pressed add call and called a second location.
at this stage the screen has a option merge (see pic 1). after that there is a option manage (see pic 2).
when i press manage i can hang up on either one of the conecctions (see pic 3) or i can even add a 3rd cal l(see pic 4).
i have a custom rom installed now but the stock phone app on tmobile is exactly the same.
Thanks
I brought the developer edition and if I use a sim from a different carrier I can add a few people. but if I put in the Verizon sim I'm stuck with two people. and once I conference someone in I can't hang up on him I have to hang up on both people.

From what I understand, it's a limitation of the CDMA technology that VZW uses for voice. This means, it should be the same for Sprint phones as well. However, GSM doesn't have the same limitations, so that's why it allows that with an AT&T or T-Mobile SIM card.

I have had every Galaxy S phone for sprint, and the ONE thing i hate is the voicemail button in the dialer, mainly because i dont use sprint voicemail.
But my question is (I would be willing to help in anyway possible and even donate a few $) .. since the button mearly opens the sprint voicemail apk, could we find a way to make it open another apk? such as google voice, since that is what i use for my voicemails?

is it possible? i have thought about this for years, and no one has been able to help or really guide me on what to do. The button is nothing more than a glorified shortcut that opens a specific app....
On several of the old flip phones I've had, before Android, they had a feature where you could block your caller ID for one call only.
Is that available on custom ROM or app?
It's useful in that normally I let my Caller ID go through when I'm making a call. But occasionally I don't want whom I'm calling to know my number, so I block it. But then many times forget to go through the several step process to unblock it again. On several old pre-Androd phones I had, you could block you ID for one call only, and then it would go back to the previous setting.
Just dial *67 before dialing the number. I think that still works give it a try. Maybe that's just a landline thing not sure. Doesn't hurt to try

Open up the phone and go into Settings, then scroll down til you see Additional Settings and its in there(not one call tho)(on carbon 1.8)

I'll try it again, but in the past, it didn't work from cell phones, which is why I liked the old option from the phones menu. But, perhaps it does work now, which is why I don't see the option anymore..

Thank you. But that's the whole point of the question...so I don't have to go through a 8 step process!
Many Mobile service providers user this kind of tricks to gain money.
They send these kinda pop-up adds, say your mobile is in your pocket and you receive an add, the second you try to retrieve your cell phone from locket this adds a ok by mistake or touch of your hand on the screen. Instantly they deduct that amount from your balance.
Anyone know how to block these adds?

crap - I've never seen one like this - but note that the ad is coming from some app. Try to identify the app that is generating that message and just uninstall the app.
If the ad was in the notification bar, it was easy to identify the app (just long press the notification to see the app) - but given that it is on your home screen, I'm not sure how to identify it.
Maybe look at recent apps (or running apps) to see apps that are running?

ugh... I'm so sorry to hear that... Note to self: Do not use airtel the next time I travel to India...
(hopefully, not all carriers do this)
Here in the US, I've never heard of carriers pulling this crap, but hopefully, other folks may have suggestions on how to block this.
(I assume the carrier doesn't make you install any apps that may be generating these messages?)
Edit: is there an app called airtel live on your phone somewhere? (may be under "all apps" perhaps)

Wonderful news! Glad it helped.
Just out of curiosity - did you install the airtel live app? Or was it silently/secretly installed when you inserted the SIM? (assuming you are using the Sprint S4, it shouldn't have been installed by Sprint or Samsung)

Naaa did not install, GSM service providers do it the OTA style or when you boot the phone first time with the new SIM it gets installed, cant uninstall, gotta freeze it.
Hi all,
I love being able to add pauses to numbers, to enable me to redirect our support telephone at work from anywhere. But there is a snag. This is the number:
0211xxxxxxxxx,**700xxxxx#,#1

(x is a number, sorry, but wouldn't want anyone to use this)
This worked fine on my old Galaxy S2, with stock rom and with custom rom. On my Galaxy S5 it kind of works.
When I dial it from my contact list it does its thing and seems to stop at the second comma (this is only a guess...), after that the call stops and the redirection is not working.
If I do the same while on speaker, it works as expected.
Now I guess, that no one here will be able to solve my problem from this vague description, but you might have ideas to send me in the right direction. Could it be, that pauses on speaker differ from those not on speaker, for example in length?
Thank you for your ideas
Sven
I used to do the same for making Google voice calls for specific numbers, dial my gv # then pause, then 2, then pause, then dial then number I wanted to call, then press #.
I found on my S5 I had to do three comas before the 2 and two comas after it, or it would not work.
Also, try using the wait option in the "sym" menu

Hi finndo,
Thank you very much for your enlightening post! I was very surprised when I read about three commas, but I'm definitely going to try
The only thing I can't find is the 'sym' menu, where can I find that?
Thank you very much
Sven

EDIT: just getting rid of some erroneous words
On the dialer screen in a contact, when adding the phone number, should be in the bottom right, second one up.

So far my experience has been a good one, except for a weird bug that could be my sim card, basically it's only when I call my girlfriend that it rings twice and goes silent on my end but on her end she gets the call just fine like normal, but with using WiFi calling and calling from other phones calls are normal on both ends, what I did notice was that if I call using my cellular network is that on my end it will ring twice then once her phone starts ringing it goes silent on my end. Anyone have this issue before?
But back to the point of this phone is so nice I don't even care for the compact anymore as this is a perfect size phone and its speakers sound good but I need to mess with headphone settings to try out the audio. Camera is good but sometimes it's not accessible through the lockscreen and the icon on the bottom disappears but besides that I love the remote play feature and that's there's optional overlay touch controls. I wish the app drawer had an option to hide apps though because some icons are ugly and belong to bloat ware. The stock themes are nice too I'm rocking the green one

If you choose "Own order" you can have folders in the app drawer. You can then throw all your unused apps in one folder and you won't have to seem them all the time

That's so funny, this happened to me twice while I was calling and I caught my self going "hello hello" and then the person on the other end answered and goes "were you talking to someone?"
Yeah, I don't know what the issue is but I have noticed it. I would consider this a feature, but with T-Mobile in my area you never know when you have dropped a call :/

Was it with this phone? And does it happen with different people you call? Because so far it only does it when I call a certain number and no one else

With the sony...but i just realized i have bigger problems...my phones already bent what the f*ck sony its only been three days..
That is not good at all! I figured out my issue was because t-mobile still thinks in the system that I'm using the galaxy s5 that I gave to my girlfriend so once it updates the two ringing thing will be gone, so far my phone is fine and hope mine don't bend

So far the phone has been pretty good for me. It's slippery, waiting on a couple of cases from Amazon.com that should be in today.
You can also use adb from a pc and go into shell (adb shell) and pm block package.name any app you want to disable.
Might want to disable those 3 carrierIQ packages (pm list will list all packages on the phone)
In very interested in knowing more about this. Pm me maybe to point me in the right direction?

Your right, yeah there's a lot of bloat, I want to disable that mobile Hotspot shortcut! It's so annoying that it's on every t-mobile phone.
