This is a galaxy s3 from China, where she was. She says that either the play store worked in china, but not here, or never worked at all.
Fact remains, it doesn't work here. She's on tmobile, btw. and I think it's a chinese rom.
(i don't have the phone with me.)
When going to Recovery Mode, it looks like the stock recovery.
SO, in order to flash a new rom, in which the play store works, technically she could just download the .APK for Goomanager and then flash TWRP and then flash a custom ROM, something stable like CM10?
Also, apparently whenever trying to access settings, it crashes. So no clearing the app data for pLay Store.
ANy suggestions? THANKS!

Directly installing apk's works, though.
[UPDATE]
I have no freaking clue what went wrong, but I after trying to use ROM Toolbox pro to fix permissions of the Play Store and then rebooting, my keyboard had magically uninstalled.....
So I gave up and just flashed the latest CM12 nightly and a new Gapps package and now everything is back to normal.
Good to hear OP. I was gonna comment to reinstall the ROM. Happened to me once and that fixed it

[Q] ADB not working on latest CM11 build

I flashed the latest CM11 build in my DX, and so far it's going great. As usual, I went to install the Samba app, since the USB seems to still be a bit buggy. Oh well. Luckily, I found an APK for it on another XDA thread, since it seems to have been pulled from the Play store. I went to push it to my DX, and it seems that ADB isn't working. Normally the DX would prompt me to give my laptop permission to use ADB, but...nothing. I've tried rebooting the phone and my laptop multiple times, and I made sure that my user was a member of the group "plugdev". Does anyone have a workaround for this?

[STOCK_ROM]Questions

Hello, recently my friend asked me for help with his Galaxy S5 G900F. He has bought it from Asia, it's fully stockish but it doesn't update nor through OTA nor through Kies, so he's stuck with 4.4.2. He asked me to root his phone and install latest stock samsung firmware available. I've searched and read the forums for a while, but I'm worried I might screw something up.
This is his modem version:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So, could someone be so kind to help me? What root method would be best for this problem? CF or something else? And can I simply root the device and straight away flash 6.0 rom through odin, or do I have to do something else? Also, what stock rom is best atm (region =EU/Poland).
Flash a rom for SM900F From Sammobile.com and then flash TWRP 3.0.0, both via odin, and then you can easy root.
Good luck

Blackscreen after flashing stock rom

After testing LineageOS over the weekend I wanted to go back to stock EMUI, so I downloaded the newest firmware from Team MT (FullOTA v167421) and flashed it via TWRP. That went through without any errors so I rebooted the phone and now I got nothing.
Basically whats described in this thread. (/huawei-p8/help/huawei-p8-black-screen-adb-recovery-t3663103 ;sorry, cant post links)I can't enter the bootloader, when connected to the PC neither adb devices, adb wait-for-device, nor fastboot-devices show anything. The only sign of life I have is in the device manager.

Any help would be appreciated.
For anyone with the same/similar problem: I didn't find a solution for this, gave up and sent it in.

New update EMUI 9.1.0.168 (C675E7R1P1) with VoWiFi

Just got a new update out of no where on my Honor 7X. I thought our device was done with updates. But I'm very exited for VoWiFi here and that Smart Battery feature looks exciting. I haven't seen any news or post about this, does it mean am I one of the first one?

Also I'm quite sad to restart my device after 2646 hours??
Does anyone have a downloadable firmware for this build?
Dose anyone have Stock ROM for this version. Im trying to root my device(tries i did so far over here). TWRP recovery image installation - unable to install. So now im trying to root my phone without TWRP recovery(ref).
I tried to search over the internet. My build no is 9.1.0.168(C675E7R1P1)
But, all im able to find is 9.1.0.140/125 as the closest.
So, any possibility of getting this specific Stock ROM ?!
