(Has The Best Phone Plan EVER!!! 30$ - Unlimited talk text n 500mb of data) So I don't know how to do this. Hello, my friend from Israel want's the G2, and we got some questions.
His provider is Orange by the way.
He wants to buy one on Ebay and a lot of them already come unlocked.
Is this trustworthy? I've been hearing a lot of G2's don't work when unlocked.
Also, unlocked means he can insert is SIM card and it should work?
Also, if he does buy a locked version. Is it possible for me to go to a T-Mobile store and ask them to unlock it for me?
Also, does anyone know if it will work in Israel?
Another also, would you guys even recommend this phone? I thought that this would be the best android phone out there.

I like the Evo, but Sprint services sucks. The sprint 4g doesn't even compare to tmo 3g ( I've done extensive testing with my bro's Evo to my Touch Pro 2 and whooped his ass every speed test, execept in St. Cloud we were in the boonies)
I've got the AT&T s5 and I love it, but I'd love it MORE if I didn't have to worry about the locked bootloader. I'm tempted to get a Tmobile s5 and root that. Is anyone actually using a Tmobile s5 on AT&T service and if so, how good are the data speeds, is there anything that you can't do with the Tmobile on AT&T, for instance does surfing the web during a phone call work or not, that kind of thing. I very much appreciate any info on this. I know other Tmobile phones are working OK but I need to know obviously about the s5 in particular.
I do know that I will need to get an unlock code for it, no problem there, I do plan to install custom ROMs on it as well.

Well recently switched to sprint to save money...(yayaya big mistake) picked up a M9 only to find out the new spark network doesnt allow talk and hotspot at the same time. So i did some research and found the that 720 (non triband) S4 galaxy has dual antennas that would allow talk and hotspot without interuption... at least thats what i thought....so I bought one on ebay and return my M9...
So now im rooted with the s4 (odin) and have the wifi app for $2.80 google play store.. and still every time I make a call my internet goes out.
Is there anyway I can access both without interruption on the sprint network? or do i have to add a line and have a dedicated rooted phone for uninterrupted access?

Maybe its the hotspot app you are using? have you tried the hotspod mod on these forums?
also, make sure you're on LTE, as thats the only way sprint phones can talk and do data..

Im gonna try to load up the WICKED rom that just came out, or if theres any suggestions any one has with success for voice and data let me know and ill check it out!! thanks !

Not if tri-band and on LTE. There is no VoLTE so it will disconnect data when you are on a call. You are SOL.

Yea i know.. im no stranger when it comes to rooting and flashing, but I did a basic ODIN2 root, then added WiFi tether from googleplay store and this is happening, on OS 4.2.2
So now Im about to flash OD2 baseband the
Wicked 10.2 ,
then 10.3 and see if fixes it.
A possible reason why this is happening is perhaps when I recieved the phone I did not have a SIM card for it. (ebay sepcial) So I went into sprint and they flashed a new one onto it possibly to disconnect the VoLTE upon dual usage. Im hoping the OD2 baseband and WICKED rom will repair this.
UPDATE:
flash OD2 and now I have voice and data!! YES
Just flashed the wicked 10.3 rom and now I have no keyboard!...damn

You can call sprint. If your phone is payed off and in good standing they will give you the iccid unlock code so you can use another sim card.

There are other methods but they cost a fee and honestly I don't know how legal they are although they do work. There was an article on xda about a week ago about an unlocking website. I forgot the link though but it costs about 10-15 dollars.
EDIT: Here is a link to the xda article https://www.xda-developers.com/benefits-carrier-unlocking/ also no prices on the site that they mentioned but I have found unlocks for the above price. I just don't trust them. I feel that is easier and safer to go through your carrier.

before purchasing ask for IMEI and contact verizon to see if they will allow a foreign ESN on their network. Verizon G6 is factory unlocked

it leaves it as a fully functional GSM phone
So I went into settings and requested a uicc unlock and it told me it was unlocked. Is that it? Or is there something else that needs to be done? I put in my att sim and it let me make a call but no internet even after adding the att apn settings
I've been with sprint forever and my line is out of contract FYI

I'm outside of USA.
I have unlocked Sprint LG G6 using service from ebay.
For now I can use GSM sim card and make a calls. I configured APN and data turns ON and web browsing is working fine.
BUT messangers works very strange... telegram sends only text, not photos, viber not works at all....
Why? It's sprint specific setting like tunneling/proxy? How I can remove it? Any workarrounds?
I can pay if anybody can resolve this issue

Yes, Unlock for about $2 on eBay. Will work with Tmo & ATT, and their MVNOs. You may, or may not, need to switch to 3G for first call to register (I had to), then you can switch back to LTE without any further problems. You also may need to manually add APN, but I did not need to.
It's a pretty solid phone and can be had for $40 at Walmart, or price-match elsewhere. Really stinks that the bootloader can't be unlocked. I didn't think it would bother me...but it really does. Oh well, I knew it before I bought it. Will be a good backup.

I've unlocked my Verizon variant but can't get any service on it. I know it's capable because the YouTuber J Williams did it and got T-Mobile services to work

Have you tried entering your APN manually? Try Googling Tmobile apn settings.

Maybe your SIM card is activated on another phone. Happened to me on MetroPCS. I put in a SIM that was activated on another phone...it worked fine for about 5 mins., then all service was removed and it said Emergency Calls Only. You really should try entering the APN manually, if you haven't done so already. I'm now using Cricket with no problems at all.

I think that's the issue. Same thing happened to me. I tried to use my gf's SIM from MetroPCS in mine. It worked for like 5 mins and then lost service. MetroPCS doesn't recognize this phone for some reason because it is a Verizon phone. You could call them and try to add it to your account. Cricket picked it up easily. I just had to do a lot of searching for the correct APN.

Call MetroPCS and register your SIM to your E4, go with Cricket, Straight Talk, or Total Wireless. There's always a possibility that Metro won't allow your Verizon E4 on their network because they want you to buy theirs. I'm sure...as you know, theirs don't even have a fingerprint reader.

Personally, if I were you...I'd go with Cricket, At&t, Straight Talk (At&t), or Total Wireless(Verizon), because T-Mobile (MetroPCS) coverage is not all that great.
