I have got one solution from somewhere is that we need to downgrade back to 4.1.2. But for that you need to download file from:
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=8
Then You need to extract the original system.img from the archive as well as logo.img in case the phone doesn't allow you to flash system.img, you can use logo.img to kick the phone out of Fastboot. You will need to install Motorola ADB drivers on your computer in advance, and also need a fastboot.exe file which I think you can find via Google, but if you have ever rooted your phone in the past, usually that also came with fastboot.
Anyway, get into fastboot mode by turning off the phone, then holding down all 3 buttons. Use vol- to select Fastboot and vol+ to choose it. Phone should boot into fastboot.
Connect to PC and issue command:
fastboot flash system system.img
If it works, the phone should be downgraded. If it says flash failed, then downgrade isn't possible. In that case, if the phone is stuck in fastboot mode and can't be rebooted, issue this command to get out of fastboot.
fastboot flash logo logo.img
That should let it reboot as normal.
I actually doubt it's possible to downgrade, but I haven't tried it myself so I can't say for sure.

there is a workaround for this, but it requires unlocked bootloader and possibly a ruim flashing tool.
i'm not sure it it will work for any of you, but at least i managed to make my ruim work in ukraine.

I am totally struck after 4.4.2 update. My Droid Razr M was so fine, now almost useless. No data on CDMA. I am from India and using Reliance. Battery drain is so fast, cannot even surviving one day, earlier it was almost with juice for 2 days. Waiting seriously for some work around.

There is a new type of micro sim cards available at Reliance Web World. By changing to new UIM card at reliance, CDMA data will work in Kitkat.

I am using CDMA/ GSM Sim unlocked mobile.. If I change the Sim will data work after updating kitkat.. Coz it was not working with the same Sim.. Have you checked it by using new Sim after kitkat update?

Yes CDMA data was working before update to Kitkat..but after update No data on Reliance CDMA network. Test messages & voice calls are working.
Micro SIM are not available in Reliance Web World they will ask you to cut the SIM for using it.

Then it will definitely work if you purchase the new micro SIM and activate to your number. Here its available in reliance web world. There is another option to start CDMA data is that u have to restore back to JellyBean.

I have purchased New Micro SIM but still Data is not working. Downgraded to Jelly Bean and used normal SIM, now Data is working fine.

call me at 9371266944.

From the photo of the RGER series SIM that you have shown, it seems you cannot cut that to nano form factor. I can see that this is the old type of SIM card where the circuit section is elongated.
In comparison the RECRU series has a SIM which can be cut to nano size without cutting off parts of the circuit.
So from what you said, users who need data on a phone which accepts only nano SIM cards (e.g. Droid Ultra/Maxx/ Turbo), will never be able to use data.
That is simply not true.

Your welcome
it always does
Being a Europe firmware, the APN list might not be there for Asia. I had the same problem and had to manually configure the apn. It worked.
Not a big deal as long as you know the access point details for your subscriber.
Any way to make it automatic in a firmware/rom of outside like europian ?

Data not working on Lenovo A820e

Hi,
I have Lenovo A820e which is CDMA + GSM phone.
I am unable to switch on data either on CDMA or on GSM. However, the phone is able to use wifi.
I have saved the new APNs for Relaince CDMA and Idea GSM. But to me, it seems that China Telecom is preventing data connection other than its own.
How can I solve this problem ?
Plz. help.
A820e
Hi, I have also an A820e. Got to the same point. I've installed a ROM with GApps and got everything working except I can't get 3G data, only GPRS.
I think it's ROM related.
Have you been able to find a solution?
It seems that Lenovo A820e doesn't have the 2100 band which is required for 3G communication in Europe.
The way I was able to activate data in the ROM that has the google services is by introducing the following code in the dialer:
*#*#4763#*#*
After this a message telling me that the data has been started appeared and I was able to control.
Also before this I made a change in system/build.prop
to default the network to gsm. I've added:
ro.telephony.default_network=1
(Should be rooted to have access to this. I've used Root Browser)
Hope this helps.

Help required verizon samsung s5 - activate hidden codes

Hello
I am using verizon sansung s5 900v on a network other than verizon. I wanted to know whether i can activate the hidden codes without rooting my set. Further is it possible to use other network 4g on this set. I have heard that i can only use other network 4g if i can enable hidden codes. I dont want to root my device. Any help would be highly appreciated
I may be wrong, but im pretty sure enabling them requires root. So to answer yout question, no you cannot without rooting.
Sent from my SM-G900A using Tapatalk
I don't think you need hidden codes just to use another network. You just need to input the correct APN for mobile data. Now, if the codes provide functionality to recharge on that network, etc, then you won't be able to. You can simply root and change the appropriate setting and unroot and it will stick, since the setting is in the EFS filesystem of the phone.
You only need to do step 2 from the OP here after rooting on the S5: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303905
FWIW, I was recently in Puerto Rico and was able to buy and use a SIM card with 4G data just fine on my Verizon Galaxy S5 after inputting the correct APN information and selecting GSM/UMTS as the network or Global instead of LTE/CDMA. Verizon's handsets are usually unlocked by default.
If you have the latest software update, band 4 should already be enabled, barring there is some sort of SIM check to determine if there is a VZW sim card installed, but I doubt it.

Try this. Go into your phone dialer and enter this secret code:
##3282# (puts you in programming mode)
Click edit.
For the MSL code, put "000000" and press OK.
On the main screen, go to MORE.
Then click HDR/1x Selection.
On this screen, select Global then press OK.
The phone will restart and should enable LTE.
Hope this helps.

Unfortunately I have tried that and it does not work for me.
@DirtyPISTOLA This is a step you might of missed and has been throughout my thread. (Apn settings need to be applied after eng boot is registered) I implemented these settings through a .bat file in device system/etc folder, but doesn't work for all. So if you apply the eng boot through ODIN...and upon reset... Edit APN settings through mobile networks, being;
Name: APN2 LTE Internet
APN: n.ispsn
MMSC:http://mms.sprintpcs.com
Multimedia message proxy:68.28.31.7
Multimedia message port:80
MCC: 310
MNC: 120
APN type:default,supl,mms,dun,fota
APN Protocol:IPv4/IPv6
APN roaming protocol:IPv4/IPv6
Bearer:LTE
You should be able to run SuperSU .bat file and hopefully that'll fix it. If not it's a firmware issue.
I'm not sure if this works for oreo because I no longer have this device, but these are settings needed for LTE. Like I said idk if Nougat's LTE is different from Oreo's LTE.
Build.prop entries:
ro.characterisitics=Sprint
ro.telephony.default_network=10
ro.cdma.default_numeric=310120
ro.cdma.default_alpha=Sprint
ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=Sprint
If this doesn't work try SM-G935U firmware with exact settings and steps, but change MNC: to 000.

Awesome thanks for the reply, I just upgraded to a new update that wont let me downgrade because of security policy updates as soon as SamMobile posts the firmware so I can restore if something goes wrong I'll give this a try. Thanks again.
Glad I finally found this thread, which firmware should I be on if I want to root this thing? Thinking of flashing Boot Loader 6 though again not sure.
Hey hey, I need to dig up this ghost here, cause I rooted a Sprint S7 Edge and put a verizon SIM in it, I don't have an active sprint SIM so I can't test it out, but the verizon SIM isn't getting any LTE, it just shows roaming, and no MMS messages can be downloaded. I may or may not have messed with some settings.
So, I can't edit the APN settings it's locked out. How can I either a. unlock the APN settings, or b. get it to recognize LTE networks without doing that. I've tried so many different things I've found on the forums, like nova launcher menu and going into the IOTHidden stuff to get into LTEfunctionality and that's not even there on the phone.
We're running OREO, but I just don't know what the deal is. Any ideas?

[GUIDE] HTC Desire 626s Sprint - Sim Unlocking for GSM / LTE Band Unlocking
I successfully sim unlocked | unlocked LTE/GSM bands on the HTC Desire 626s Sprint variant using info from guides by @be free and @dr.faramroze. A big thanks to these fellas! You won't know it is unlocked until you put an active GSM Sim Card in. When trying a non active GSM sim it doesn't register correctly. I am unsure of why this occurs right now. When i get more time for this handset I will figure it out. I would recommend flashing the Unbranded MM 6.0 Stock Debloated Rom before doing these steps. It's much better and lacks all the extra garbage not needed. If you want to here is the download link - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZaQMcUMoGoKuZ781AJIKOrjubpx6frpK/view?usp=sharing

3. MSL/SPC
4. Phone with S-On / S-Off + SuperCID = better
5. Patience
Instructions:
1a. Start by downloading all of the files attached to this thread. If they do not download you can download them from [https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603843197] alternatively.
2a. Install HTC Drivers. If you do not already have them they can be downloaded from here - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3KA7QCJCJgwTzlfd0N6a3RXWVU/view?usp=sharing
3a. Run the application named "Basic-Flasher" that you downloaded in step 1a. If it fails to launch this is because you don't have the required run times installed. Goto microsoft.com and download the latest packages. If it still errors just click "continue" and then click scan, select your port # then click connect. Next to Method in the drop down box select [HTC]. Now click Read SPC and your MSL/SPC should appear. Copy this to notepad, piece of paper etc.
4a. Dial ##3424# in your dialer and input your MSL/SPC you got in step 3. Now Choose [DM ON] and activate it. IF it is already activated simply deactivate then reactivate it. Goto search or run and type in "compmgmt.msc" and goto device manager. You should see the HTC diag port under Com Ports. Now you know it is open.
5a. Run the application named "NV Items Reader and Writer". Click [Port] in the top left and select your phone serial port #. Make sure both boxes in the top bar are checked and input your SPC/MSL in the box replacing 000000. Click [Connect] then click [Read]. If all goes well at the bottom of the application you will see in the logs "SPC is correct. Phone Unlocked". Make a backup of ALL your current NV Items by selecting 0-65535 after Range (Dec) and clicking [Read]. Save this and name it "nv_items_complete_original_backup.txt". Keep somewhere safe that you will remember.
6a. Now in Range (Dec) input 30159-30159 and click [Read] and save this with the filename "nv_item_30159_original_backup.txt" and save somewhere safe. Now click [Write] and select the file you downloaded in Step 1 named "unlock.txt". Write the file. Now goto [Mode] in the top bar and click [Reboot].
You're now SIM UNLOCKED! -
Try your active GSM SimCard now. I'm testing with ATT getting HSPA+ and loving my horrible 3G data speeds! But hey what can you expect. =]
Now to enable LTE Bands if you must (Not everyone will be supported). This mod enables obtaining LTE - bands 2,3,5,13,17,25,26 after making changes to NV Item values. Band 5 is reported to be excellent with great coverage. Making these changes will not damage your Modem / IMEI / Hardware.
