My x10 is.... strange

Hey all, i'm using z's free x10 beta 4 (with hotfix) and greenglow theme
I noticed that my phone goes to flash mode when i just want to charge it, without pressing anything! (when the phone is turned off)
Today i noticed that my phone goes to flashmode too when i charge it(when my phone is turned off) and take my battery out (i forgot to unplug it first when i did that)
Does the same happen to you?
Btw.... it's a dev-phone (IMEI 01237900*)

Can't really help with your problem, but aren't dev-phone IMEIs starting with 00***? I thought 0123** IMEIs were given out to customers for quite a while now?
Cheers

Isn't there a hotfix to install to be able to charge while the phone is off?
Look at the OP of Z's beta4 thread.

But I don't have the hotfix installed. Thought it was meant for beta3.

what happens when charger in connected ? any sign of life ??
leave battery out for 5 mins, (make sure it has some charge)
do the 3 button combo THEN insert the battery, still holding the 3 button combo.
let me know the results
How/why would the battery fall out? If its a new phone just return it and start out fresh. Alternatively, the jig should work.

Seems you have the red light of death ( RLOD) . Can you get into the boot loader?
Plug in the charger, hold power button and volume down button. If you can get into bootloader then use the volume key to select "power down" and use power button to choose that option. Then just leave the phone plugged in for a while.
I've had it only take maybe 5 minutes and other times take an hour. Try turning it on, if it just vibrates then shows the Google screen and reboots then redo the steps and leave it plugged in and let it sit for longer

Check the file you flashed. Sounds like you flashed a ROM not meant for the nexus 4 like a nexus 7 ROM.
If that's the case you are bricked and only a JTAG will save it.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
If you can get in bootloader:
download the ROM from computer (correct one)
get into recovery
mount usb storage
put ROM in phone
flash rom
wipe
reboot
you might have to hold power and volume down for awhile.. 10+ seconds
You posted this in the wrong forum btw.. next time Q&A would be appropriate

Looks like that is a gs2 ROM. Only way to save it is JTAG.
For future reference only flash Roms made for the device you are using.

See if you can power it on in the download mode. I forgot the button combo, but it's volume up or down (or both) and power.

Is a machine that can rewrite your memory without turning the phone on their are some shops on the internet that do it. last I checked only other option is lg and they are going to be more expensive than a shop.

First thing you should probably do is let charge up then see what works and what doesn't......then the help can come
Its been plugged in for about 8 hours. The phone gets a little warm so I thinks its charging but I can't tell. The screen was working yesterday so I don't think the LCD is broken. Plugging it into the computer gets no reaction.

Do you already try to push power button for atleast 10 second?
Yeah, ive tried holding down the power button. And I also tried entering download mode by holding volume up.

Does the pc recognize the phone at all?
No the PC doesn't recognize the phone at all. I tried installing the Lg Mobile support tool and the drivers but none of those can detect it either.

[Q] Phone dead after flashing

Hey guys, so i was trying out velocity ROM for the first time. Went through the usual. Clean wipe, flashed ROM + PA gapps and rebooted. Somewhere while booting up, the screen just went dead and would not turn on anymore.
I read up later that ART is the default runtime on the ROM and now i wonder whether PA gapps and ART dont play along.
Is my phone bricked? Any recommendations to fix this?
Thanks!

Nexus 4.
If your is not switching on, or not charging after flashing, its time to say gud bye to it,.coz its been hard bricked... u should replace it vid another... the onyl way to get it back is go to service center and tell them,, that it got dead,, dont tell them that u have rooted or flashed a rom...if its in warranty...
they vll replace vid a new one..

So here's something strange. It seems to be charging just fine. Although the display still doesnt come on, the red led notification light flashes incessantly.
So strange.
Then it might be hardware display fault.. i think...

Red light means your battery is discharged to 0%. The charger doesn't have enough power to bump up the voltage. You need to take the phone apart and then do something with the battery contact wires, i think there's a thead here on nexus 4 xda forum.
