Goodlink and Automatic Profile Switching Issues

I've had to install Goodlink on my Hermes which the admins have set up to automatically lock the phone after 20 min. You then need to type in a password to access the today screen.
While my phone is locked, profile switching using Phone Alarm or any other automatic timed profile switch programs (Phoneweaver, PWM, Profiles for Windows etc) refuse to switch the profile unless the phone is manually unlocked just before the profile is switched. It's as if Goodlink locks all application activity when the phone is locked.
However it doesn't prevent Windows Mobile App alarms such as SMS, Phone, Calendar, Tasks waking up the phone and ringing but for some reason the profile switchers refuse to work.
Given that I've tried several profile switching programs (I'm a long time user of PA by pocketmax but tried all the others), I'd love to know if anyone knows any hacks that can help get around this issue with Goodlink. Any hacks to get around the phone lock would be much appreciated
Any suggestions?
Hi,
You can get around the Goodlink mandatory locking by changing a registry setting.
Use your trusty registry editor and look for "ITLocked" and set it to 0.
After that goto Settings -> Lock and tick off "Prompt if device unused for".
You may need to try a couple of times as Goodlink will keep resetting it to 1.
good luck!

Enter two PINs at startup

Hi,
this is my first post. I've read this forum and didn't find the answer for the following question. I have HTC Touch Diamond 2 Topaz WM 6.1.
For company policy reasons, I have to lock the device after a few minutes of inactivity. I use the standard feature AllSettings/Personal/Lock with a Simple PIN. It works fine.
The problem is that, when I start up the device, first of all, it prompts me to introduce the Simple PIN for unlocking the screen, and then the usual startup PIN. So, I have to introduce two passwords for accessing the phone.
I don't want to use S2U2 or similar because of performance (moreover, I've seen the same problem with S2U2). The standard mechanism is OK, but I would like to workaround this annoying double PIN entering.
Is there any registry tweak or something to avoid the unlocking screen at startup?.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Marc,
My company's IT department also put restrictions on my phone. I have Blackberry on mine and there is lots and lots written about the issue of the security policy for this. Do you have Blackberry on yours? I can help you if you do.
Or do you use MS Exchange for your emails? I know nothing about this.
Either way, you should only have one pin to enter, not 2. Have you set up your own security unlock via start/settings/Personal/Lock too? If so, you should be able to disable this one.
How can I lock my phone after a while?
Thanks for your answer. I use TD2 WM61 and Lotus Notes with Lotus Traveler as a sync mechanism.
To lock my phone with password unlock, I go to settings/personal/lock and configure it with a Simple PIN. The problem comes when I boot my phone: it asks for this Simple PIN, and then it asks for the SIM PIN... which is annoying. It seems like the startup process is slower than the locking mechanism and then, first locks, then asks for the usual startup PIN.
Initially, I don't want to use software like S2U2, TouchLockPro or similar. Is there a way to customize the lock feature?. Or is there a different way to lock with password my phone?.
Thanks again.

[Q] App for automatic pin entry?

I know what you're thinking.... what's the point of having a PIN if you want an app to automatautomatically enter it.
The situation is such that my company has a policy in place such that it forces my phone to require a pin when I wake it if my work email account is configured. Whats additionally annoying is that I use widget locker as well. So now when I wake my phone I unlock widget locker, then slide my droid lock slider, then enter my PIN - a process that has become extremely annoying!
So yeah... is anyone aware of something that would simplify the process, other than removing my work email account as that's not an option.
Honestly, if your company finds that you circumvent protocol, they can dismiss you. This is typical in end user agreements now a days as is for my company. I would remove the widget locker and place the pin code as your default code in general if that is all they are asking. It sounds like you have several layers to get on your phone when one would work and cover you in regards to your email.

[Q] 2 passwords, 1 for encryption, 1 for lockscreen, possible?

Hi
On my transformer pad I had one password with symbols etc. that I entered when the tablet started and a different easy password with just numbers to unlock the screen quick and easy.
I encrypted my Nexus 4 and if i set the pin to just numbers I will be able to unlock my lockscreen as I wan't but the password when booting is the the same.
If I change the password it will change both the locksckreen password and the boot password to the same again...
Is it possible to use two different passwords? One really hard to guess when booting the phone and one easy for unlocking the screen? And how di I set it up?

Anyone use Tasker with their Sprint GS5?

I'm trying to make Tasker disable my pattern lock and make it swipe instead, and automatically activate WiFi Calling, can't figure out how though lol -_- I have the newly updated Secure Settings too btw.
Anyone?
