Kernel! - GiONEE Elife E7

is there any possibility to get kernel from gionee?

I think you should contact Gionee service and ask them to release their kernel sources. Or post on their official FB/Twitter accounts if you want direct answer. All we are hoping is to release them Kitkat update along with proper kernel sources and device tree. Hope Gionee lives up to their promise, or it's good bye for this company from me!

[VOTE] for x10i MIUI

MIUI : What's your current device? Pls let us know. We want to know which device is the most popular one. It helps us to arrange our future work. Thanks!
I recall that the last poll put out by miui team had many more people voting for the x10 than now... I've got a feeling that official miui is out of our reach....

is it possible to get miui official for X10 ? if not , why ?
Um, it's possible, the team behind miui just has to do it. However we probably don't need official, as oodie's miui prime 7 rom is stable and fully functional. Anyone interested in miui should check his thread out.

Google PushesSourceCodeOfAndroid4.0.4(IMM76D) IntoAOSP

Hmmmm.... A noob question real quick:
Does this mean that we'll see stable custom clean ICS ROMs (meaning without TW and without the SPen) shortly or do we still need to wait for Samsung's official ICS release for drivers and stuff?
AOSP issues should be easier to resolve if nit completely fixed

Don't think it will be quicker
The kernel is not open source and the kernel is what controls the drivers so we will still be waiting for the galaxy note kernel source
However hopefully the note ics will be based on this build
Maybe this is what samsung was waiting for

The kernel IS open source, and the GPL compels them to release the source code. However this doesn't need to be until the upgrade is officially released, expected sometime in Q2

Please stop posting same questions everywhere. If there would be any ROMs/Kernels available, it would be there in their specific sections. So far, you need to wait for Gionee to provide proper sources or someone else to get it from them. Till then, please be patient.

pls port omni rom to oppo r5 r8106

I normally report device requests as it's a FAQ violation, but there is someone who is doing work on it.
However, Oppo's kernel source release quality dropped significantly after the November 2014 Github takedown incident, so even getting TWRP up and booting using a source-built kernel has been unusually problematic.
all the best for to made omni to oppo r5

First rule of custom firmware communities (ANY of them - It started with CyanogenMod, but while many projects disagree with Cyngn/CM on many things, this one thing is something that everyone agrees upon) - NEVER ASK FOR ETAs!
