So, I just got back from Sprint. My SPH-L720 died on me unexpectedly and they just gave me this SPH-L720T model. This brings some questions that I've been searching for the last few hours but hadn't hit the right answer.
Are the regular SPH-L720 ROMs compatible with this? Is there going to be a separate TriBand forum for such ROMs?
Sorry for the newbish questions.
Search more please. There's an entire thread dedicated to the tribamd model. Yes the regular Roms are compatible. But you will lose spark. Regular LTE will still work.

Yes I did saw the thread. What I didn't see right away if I was able to install AOSP ROMs and treat the phone pretty much as the same.
Thanks.
C-rom works with triband.

This may be a noob question, so bear with me...
I have the sprint S4. Can I use any kernels / ROMs / Mods designed for the "9505" or do I have to stick with what's in sprint GS4 dev forum?
Thanks guys!

Just curious I have an unlocked I337. Wanting the tmobile Caller id that comes with the stock tmobile variant. Is there a way to port that to the att I337?:cyclops:
Have you tried to run a t-mobile Rom?

I have not. Havent had a lot of luck flashing roms on the s4. I might try sooner or later. Just tired of getting error messages and having to restore. I am rooted with motorchopper.

We don't even know if OP is on MF3. A suggestion like that could result in a brick.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if he's on MF3 he has root, but no recovery, so he wouldn't be able to even flash a Rom to brick it

He could try to flash a recovery though to try to flash a rom and then he'd be sol.

There is no way you checked out those links that quick. And if you did, you would have clearly seen the answer to your question. Take some responsibility for your device. I have told you EXACTLY where to look for what you need, it is up to you to take the time to read and learn about it.
I read the entire post there was hardly any mention of the i337 mainly the m919 it says flash your kernel but which is that since I am flashing a tmobile rom on a att phone using tmobile service.

Your sig says you have an i9505. Your info says you are on Sprint. And...you are asking about a Verizon ROM in the AT&T forum. Wow.
Might need to clarify a few things before you can get some help.
Oh wow haha lol. Funny story here. I recently switched from sprint (about a month ago). Never bothered to change that to att I guess lol. Second, I'm running goldeneye 8.0 so I guess that's a build prop thing by Tapatalk

Update: Sucessfully flashed and booted. No issues to report. Sms and mms can be sent & recieved fine in an LTE area with full bars.

You just need to fish the T-Mobile compatibility module right after flashing the rom.

Flash the rom
then flash your att loki kernel, should boot just fine....no converter zip needed. Btw, what converter zip are you talking about?
Just curious to hear what people are currently running on their S4. I just noticed it looks like 4.3 update is finally available for ATT so might just flash that for now.

Questions go in the Q&A section.
Using stock 4.3 mk2.

Is mk2 good? I thought I read something negative about it somewhere... And was that the one where once you update to that you can't revert?

You can't revert once you're past MF3. MK2 has been working just fine for me, the only negatives are you don't get ROMs or recovery, neither TWRP/CWM or SafeStrap. Also, they removed the network data toggle which does suck.
You mean from the drop down where you can just flick it on/off? I don't use that one too much but I know what you mean...hate when I lose toggles I was using before.
But No ROMs or recovery?? Is that just cause it's pretty new? Seems surprising

I'm using Gummy 4.4.2 and it's working awesome!
Well, this thread is being closed as "everyone" is a subjective term, there are plenty of ROMS for many users that many are using.
This question can only be answered by the individual user? Try all the roms over in the development threads - that is why we are here, and the fun part of the journey.

i m searching for half an hour.. y wnt u help by just passing me a link?
You are not searching.
and because by handing ppl links for every single question will not benefit the community overall as members would rather make a new thread to a topic that has been covered numerous times instead of searching and learning.

count them. THREE examples of threads in the Q&A section over the last 4 days covering the same topic of rooting MJA & MK2.

rooting has not effect on MMS and data. Over WiFi try ##72786# in dialer. this will reactivate your phone and reboot twice.
