You can add two lines to the Build.prop so that the Xperia S theme applies by default after the boot after flashing ROM.(So that there is no need of applying the theme after the boot,The theme will get applied automatically as the phone boots after flashing ROM
I will write what Lines you have to add in the build.prop of the ROM.
The lines are:-
First line is:-
persist.sys.themeId=xx (xx should be the name that appears in the popup when you click the apk file to install the theme)
Second Line is:-
persist.sys.themePackageName=yy (yy should be the data name of the theme which is as seen in /data/data,For example something like com.theme.yy etc)
Add these two lines to build.prop and the theme will get applied by default as the phone boots after flashing ROM
then there will not be any need to apply theme after first boot.

Guys working hard on the lockscreen next update might get delayed !!!

Nova Launcher Transparent Status/Nav bar Support Req'd for Stock 4.3

Since SONY finally released 4.3 Stock firmware to Xperia series like L36h/L39h in early January, and Stock Launcher does support transparency for both status and navigation bar.
But using Nova Launcher, those bars still remains opaque, even we check the option "Transparent Notification Bar" in setting. So I submitted the request here to Nova Launcher team and request their support for Xperia Z under Stock 4.3. I need your help to vote for this request, and I would highly appreciate!

yeah of course , cause u need xposed to install some files to system ,
by the way , i don't think that without root u can get transparent nav bar and status bar , nova launcher devs can't do anything about it ( they may get a walkthrough ) cause it is from sony's software , they have a type of black layer beside them so they want work without root

reed all op (of course do no mode without reading op) there is a quot for xperia at the top , download the xperia test version , install , download module mentioned at top , and system ui enable the feature

This tweak works only with the Stock-Launcher. It doesnt have any effect on Nova-Launcher.

It's really easy to set transparency to stock Xperia Home Launcher

But...it'll only work in home screen and app drawer
And you'll get apk file you can easily install like any other app - without root.

I've installed the 4.3 rom and I have the same problem. That's a shame. We have to wait for Nova developers to fix this
L.E. Using GEM Xperia Xposed worked.
ROOT only.
Go to GEM Xperia xposed -> System UI->Click on Enable Customizations -> App Settings-> Search for Nova Launcher-> Click on SystemUI Appearance-> Click on Transparent-> REBOOT
That worked for me!

Found this, and it works just fine. Just backup original SystemUI in case of any problems.

It doesn't work...when I replaced System UI (and I ensure I set correct permission), when the system reboot, it just reported error and System UI crashed. Do you use Stock 4.3?

I am using @niaboc79 4.3 eXistenZ Black Edition ROM based off stock 4.3 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251512, and have had no crashes.
Are you using any other xposed modules that may conflict with SystemUI? As long as it was renamed to SystemUI, and pushed to /system/app then I'm not sure what could be causing the problem. If you get a log then maybe someone more knowledgeable than myself can help you out, or go back to the thread from the link and ask someone there.

You can use GEM xperia xposed 2.2.. In systemUi enable customizations, enter to globale settings and choose transparent in systemUi appearance then reboot.. Im using nova too in existanze rom look:

I installed GEM last night as well to regain transparency when I switched theme, and all is back to normal. Seems it's needed when using 3rd party themes.
May I ask what clock widget that is you're using?

Try enabling transparency in nova settings too.. U mean phone theme or nova theme?

Sorry, by normal I meant all is transparent now with Nova. I'm using @Metallijim Red theme from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2610056.
Using Sony theme's + Nova I didn't need GEM, just the modified SystemUI I posted about a few back.

The theme is for xperia's running on the 4.3 update only as it uses sony's new theme engine maybe niaboc79 could use his skills to get it working on pre 4.3jb update.

Mate, please, help.
I just can't set transparency to lockscreen (status bar).
I tried many things and I set transparency everywhere I want but I just can figure out this one...
I already tried to MOD few things in Home assets and Home apk but it won't work.
Same thing are visible in Advanced Xperia Launcher or Stock Home Launcher.

I already said. At this time, only Analog clock widget work. Check OP. If none of the widget worked, Check OP again I have updated. You should have latest Z3 Home, Only then it will work.

Bro thank you great theme but System UI icons didn't change. I use eXzistenz v3.0.0 with Z2. You can see it.

hi FIRST of all try restarting your phone if that does not work kindly upload the systemUI of the exitenZ rom and I will try to add support for it

Hi again I have found where is the issue in.. I can guess u re using z3 system ui which sony has changed the name of icons in quick settings in this new ui ._.
for example the auto sync icon in the older systemUi called: (statusbar_auto_sync_off)
But in the z3 systemUi called:
( somc_statusbar_auto_sync_off)
And the same thing in all icons :/ and that's why your quick settings didn't themed
Z3 users Will suffer from this -_-
How ever I am gonna to add another version for z3 systemUi

Just tested it on eXistenz 3.0.0. Works perfectly. Thank you.
I'm using dark theme and the text is matched perfectly (the green colour is a little pale though - nothing big).
