Hi guys
I have tried to root my Samsung Galaxy S5 the international version.
I am using Jodin3, but it fails because it cannot obtain the pit file.
I am using the CF auto root file.
I have also tried to download a pit file and use it in Jodin3. But it does not help. It comes out faling.
please help. I have tried every possible guide.

Hi, Tried to install root through odin for the first time but the install didn't complete.
Now my sgs won't boot anymore.
It gives, the firmware upgrade error.
I can boot into download mode.
When i try to flash the original firmware for the i9505 it gives an error (something about a pit file missing)...
What can i do to get my sgs4 working again?

seems partitions are corrupt so try getting the 16GB pit file and set it in odin with the repartition option enabled..... and try flashing the new firmware
Under normal circumstances, DO NOT tick "re-partition" during Odin flash of firmware.
Only tick "re-partition" if you have the PIT file as described in previous post
Ensure any firmware (double check !) is that for your specific model.

There's a .pit file in the DOWNLOADER folder at this link: moulnisky DOT com/index.php?dir=Samsung/Firmwares/GT-I9505/
I haven't tested it so don't know if it works, but there you go.
P.S. I had the same issue and restored my phone using Kies firmware recovery mode: samsung DOT com/us/support/SupportOwnersFAQPopup.do?faq_id=FAQ00048586&fm_seq=52928
I desperately need the correct .PIT file for an i9507. I have successfully rooted using i9505 method and run a few different unofficial CM11 ROMs designed for i9505 without any issues and working perfectly, however tried to flash another rom and have failed miserably :crying:
I have the stock firmware (i9507XXUAMH2 region OPS) but when I take all the necessary unroot steps and flash with Odin it fails and says "get PIT for mapping" I've found the i9505 PIT files but can't find the i9507 PIT files anywhere on the wen!!
Seeing as the phone roots and runs the i9505 method and ROMs, would it work if I used the i9505 pit file??
Also on my download mode screen its says the current binary: custom yet the system status: official
Any help would be amazing thank you

Dont make this "crazy tests" with your i9507 if u dont want a paperweight. If u have a i9507 use firmwares and ROMS for it, no for i9505.

Idd experimenting with a pit file from an other device is anything but wise
Thanks for reply guys, was just about to post to disregard this question because I got it all back up and running again. Turns out it wasn't the .pit file. I downloaded the original firmware from another source, flashed it and everything was good again. Have re-rooted and restored the custom 4.4 rom I had on there previously.
Again thank you and regards.

Could you please tell us what that other download source was for the original firmware that finally worked?

I know this question was posted long time ago .. But for those who still cant find the pit file for I9507
Download here
You can extract the pit file from the stock ROM archive. If the stock ROM is .tar.md5 just remove the .md5 from the end of the filename then extract with winrar or whatever you like, and then the pit file should be there.

Pit files are really "last resort" situation. What error are you getting?
What version of odin are you using?
What model of the note4 do you have?
What happened in the first place that got you here?
Have you tried to search for a fix?
What have you tried?
More info is needed mate.
Im also on the hunt for a PIT file. I had to use one on my 9505 a few times after a brutal softbrick/almost hardbrick to recover it.

Well I was trying to flash twrp trough the twrp app. But it failed. And when I wanted to reboot in recovery.. All my phone could do was boot in download mode. So I looked for the latest lollipop firmware from Samfirmware and got an error in odin. Something about the size is too big. 85098<125876 and odin said something about exfat hidden (I'm not really sure anymore). I got my phone back to work by flashing a random pit file I found on my pc. Definitely not a note 4 pit and it failed but for some reason it rebooted back to my 4.4.4 rom as it was before I bricked it. Strange. Cause odin was almost at the end of its flash so I assume some things were flashed...
Odin version 1.83 I guess but I tried it also with 3.04 and same error
I have nite 4 sm-N910F
Searched for a pit file but as I said it was fixed by a failed flash of 4.4.4 original firmware trough odin with a totally different pit file. For some reason it booted up again. So now my phone is back... If I put it manually in download mode... Will I have the same error? Cause yeah it's not bricked... See?

What that app did was wipe you're recovery... All you would of had to do was flash a twrp/cmw/PHILZ recovery.

No you really need to read the Forum Rules...moved out of the Development sections.............
I have a Galaxy S7 SM-G935FD International Edition which, thru a long sequence of missteps, I have gotten to the point where I can only get to the Samsung Logo Screen or the ODIN download mode (ie. no boot). I flashed TWRP 3.0.2-0-herolte, apparently successfully, by converting the zipped file I found to a .tar and using ODIN 3.10.7 on a Win10PC. But I am unable using any key sequence to get into any TWRP recovery mode - only the two modes above. I tried to convert the Superman rom on this forum to a tar also, but flashing stopped after Aroma at starting NAND write. In my many missteps, what I was trying to accomplish is to debloat and root the phone, at least to gain root access using Android adb. I was able to do this on my previous S6 Edge, but Samsung's vast security barriers have defeated me.
Steps to recover from this mess greatly appreciated ...... hopefully steps I can complete using ODIN ............ thx, Gus

I was unable to find a stock rom for the international. I found a zipped UK no carrier stock rom. Since ODIN doesn't flash zipped files, I unzipped and saved to a tar file using 7-Zip on Win10. Attempts to flash the tar file using ODIN crashed ODIN on the PC. I'm not sure what's wrong, as I used the same method to flash the zipped TWRP file, and finished with a "success"
I note that I have a message saying kernel is not seandroid enforcing. Somehow I think using ODIN to flash a stock rom is being blocked by some Samsung secutity feature I cannot identify and haven't overcome. Gus
Check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3335065 I don't know if you have experience with Odin process. Google it preferably look at YouTube video, if you feel shaky on Odin concepts.

1. "I flashed TWRP 3.0.2-0-herolte, apparently successfully, by converting the zipped file I found to a .tar and using ODIN 3.10.7 on a Win10PC." Reflash this FILE via ODIN coz you flashed wrong one and boot in it. Go to next step if doesn't work.
2. Flash Stock ROM via ODIN. SM-G935FD use the same firmwares that SM-G935F.
Careful with ODIN. Make sure you are running on the latest version, as I myself has problems using it for the Galaxy S7 Edge on an offer version
