my P700 with JB 4.1.2 update drives me crazy - i cant move apps to SD (apps for this purpose didnt work on my phone) i cant restore my beyondpod backup to my new phones cause it crashes, reason is it cant find my SD card - did some research on it on the web and many other has the same problem
is there a way to remount my SD card to the internal memory so the phone becomes usable for me? if not i hve to somehow ditch the phone and get myself a blackberry Z10

there is a prompt every time app wants root access
and if you install apps you know no risk

Cause you didn't disable your antivirus/anti malware. It's exploit trying to install the root on your device. The exploit was detected by your antivirus & antimalware as a threat so they blocked it. It's truly a false alarm. You will never root your device if you don't trust the exploit.

It's a limitation of the OS itself, not SE's ROM. As such, rooting won't make Apps2SD possible.
I was following an earlier thread about the problem where only the "My Files" app has permissions to alter content on the external SDcard (unrooted), but something wasn't clear...is there a solution to this short of rooting the device? I'd really rather not root, but surely Samsung thought an actual _app_ might want to write to the freakin' card!

What's wrong with rooting? The process is easy peasy really.
Just FYI if you're timid about rooting for warranty reasons, if you do factory reset on the 7.7 it will remove root and no one will be the wiser.

Mostly just uncomfortable with the risk. Doing it on a Nook Color was one thing, doing it on the 7.7 is something else from a cost-of-screwing-up standpoint.

Havent been able to get it to root. Superoneclick hangs on waiting for device.
I havent used it before - the expolit options are just Auto, psneuter and zergrush. They all hang. Should rageagainsthecage be an option there?

when i execute "pm get-install-location" it comes back with "2", but then when I try to install an app from the play store it goes straight to internal memory!"
I went for the E430 because it has "jelly-bean" but its a very limited phone if I cant get root and/or install apps and apps data to the external card

So, on further research.... its jelly bean and I dont think rageagainstthecage exploit works on that (even though I cant find it on superoneclick)
Also jelly bean has disabled app2sd entirely. There is a workaround where a script can swap sd/external sd so the os thinks ext mem is internal, but I havent been able to try it as it requires root to work.
So, we'll just have to twiddle our thumbs until someone who has a E430 actually roots it and lets us know how

Yes, seems like the jelly bean OS has made the existing root hacks redundant.
Should we combine the two threads into one to perhaps get more attention?
Also, I think the fact with JB you cant write apps to the ext SD is a *huge* drawback with this phone as it has such little memory. I would love, once someone has rooted it, to be able to rollback to the last version of android which allows writing apps to the card. Gingerbread?

If u talk about a NEW LG E430 L3 -2 (II) then ur options are very rare. This device is to new for a working root method.
I tried ALL rooting Tools u could find in the web...and NOTHING works.
So flashed a E435 dual SIM ROM with KDZ Flasher. Now I've a 98% working ROOTED ROM. Only Home-key a. MENU-Key doesn't work, the BACK-key works. Not such a big problem for me cuz I used/installed VIRTUAL BUTTONS and everything is fine again. Language is in EN and some other European.

That Root-Tool doesn't work for me to root the l3-2. My only option was the ROM flash.

You're right! I have E400f, and not E430. I don't know why I got confused, and thought we're talking about E400 or E405. That is why I didn't understand what's the big problem - and that is why I wrote I done it pretty easily...

I contacted sharp via email, begging them to at least do that for us. I haven't figured salusafe out all the way so this is verbatim. In the email the guy said sharp is looking into this and is considering it for a future software update. Hopefully even if we don't have root we can still move apps.

Thank you, I should have been more specific. I assume the security on the 305 is more lax than the 306? I know the devices are almost identical, what os is the 305 running? And if it is android, what were the stages you took to obtain your successful use of an app 2 sd hack/tool?

There's no root or hack for this phone yet. The guy had claimed he got root and never showed and refused to proove he got root . Simply, he's a liar. This is XDA, where we share root and hack methods.

I search allod in baidu.. but i nothing find with words "305 or 306sh"..
This not mean that there don't have root .. But i don't know what your friend exact search to find root ? can you ask him what he type in search ?
Also its not so hard if he know before how many time he find the root to seen in hes browser history ..

Basically it's just an app to hide root by temporarily disabling root access for being able to open some apps that don't allow rooted devices
Nokia 6 can be rooted without pc? I seached many sites but i can't found the better way.
