I think: The customs ROMs (firmwares) without bootloader is possible. But if you use ODIN, and try to flash a Stock ROM G900F at G900M the result is FAIL...
Is this correct?? Anyone?
Thanks.

That exact same thought, if I use a stock rom on my g900m g900f using odin, I will obtain what is error (fail) but in case of a custom rom? and read the G900i and g900t are using and what algunso report minor errors or lag (I think I could make do with a wipe) but for g900m what anyone said anything, but I assume that it may ... and not about the kernel? and the modem? if the modem could understand because they use the same hardware .... any answers?
I just flashed shohat rom v3 and ael kernel v1 on my g900m. So seems to be fine. ymmv though.

You reckon it will apply to all Snapdragon LTE models of the GS5?
In Australia it appears that they only have the SM-G900i model, so I am wondering if it is worth the hassle to specifically get the F model.

You should be fine. Only thing is if your carrier locks boot loader. I've seen ROMs that say they are for the I variant, but if it's Snapdragon it should be fine.

On december 1st when you asked the question no Samsung phone had an official Android 5.0 TW ROM, so there was nothing to port.
As you may have seen yesterday (December 3) the first official lolipop ROM whas released for the galaxy S5 in Poland, so there is no way to tell if and when a port is released.
-----> http://www.xda-developers.com/android/official-android-lollipop-samsung-galaxy-s5-poland/
It might be better to wait for an official 5.0 TW ROM for the I9500/I9505.
A Chinese forum has given a build number for the s4 lollipop, so I'd expect the real thing very soon.

Some of us searching the forum for our cyanogen based roms and looking into people's experiences and what might be the best kernel. In my case I recently switched over and have liked it and as such I'm doing just this. With this said, for the love of sanity, can we please have only one of these threads and have someone who is here often search things over from time to time so I don't click into things wondering if a stable leak from Samsung has been released on XDA.

Nope, both have different hardware..
If I'm not make mistake, 910A is snapdragon, 910c is exynos.. So you'll get a bootloop..

A simple answer: NO!!!
Why do you think, there are different models of the Note 4 with corresponding firmwares?

Possibly because a n910w8 includes ****y bloatware from North American providers, I was just interested because my note 2 was flashable with a international rom...
Hello friends, I'm having Indian version of note 4, n910g. Upon visiting the Android development for this device, I find that most of roms are for n910f, i.e international version. Is there any chance to flash n910f rom on n910g?...

you can flash a rom which is available for n910f on your n910g as long as you have a kernal that supports that rom (for example AEL, Nadia)
and most of the roms in snapdragon section has n910g support
Thanks raveenf,... It's a relief... I've owned htc one, galaxy note 1, htc desire, and galaxy s4 over the last few years. I always owned international version of those phones, so never had any questions in my mind...
Yes you can ,just flash the ael ,Nadia or KT kernel after flashing the rom
Texted from Note 4

Thanks for your assurance Bro,...
Was gonna say the same thing! Yeah, as long as you have a custom kernel that's for your variant. This is why I'm waiting impatiently for a lollipop kernel! Haha. So I can flash a lollipop rom. I have a G variant so, I'm out of luck at the moment.

People are reporting small things like slight black screen flicker, momentarily and slight sound distortion. I didn't/haven't noticed them.
You'll need to read approx the last 6-10 pages of that thread to see what's happening.

I think German model is N910f so same problem as previous posts. No kernel.
I have the SM-G9350, it has a Snapdragon and is bootloader unlocked. TWRP is installed.
Is the 9350 the same as the FD version? What roms and bl/firmware/modem can I use? So far nothing works, not even phoenix rom.

no, FD version has an Exynos chip. my understanding is that Exynos ROMs will not work with Snapdragon versions of the S7E.
