Briked my phone?

I think i bricked my Droid X. i was running Rubix Focused and tryed to flash GingerAle 3.0 and now it just sits at the moto "M" logo. i can get into the recovery by pulling the battery but even after a wipe and a recovery it still just sits. did i brick it, and if so how can i fix it? please help, reletivly new to flashing roms.
P.S. I'll love you forever if i can fix it =)
now i think i really did it. I tried running a recovery image from a few days ago and now i cant get back into the recovery menu...
Sounds Like SBF Time
Sounds like SBF is going to be your friend here, if you don't know how, head to
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11118819&postcount=2
and look for "SBF: What is it, and what does it do?!?"
OK, so i SBFed the phone, got all the way through it, got to the phone is rebooting and it just sits at the Moto "M" again. did i SBF wrong or what?
EDIT: I can get into the stock recovery... sort of. i can get to the ! with the droid next to it but nothing happens when i push the search button.
hmm, I know GB doesnt use the search button to pass that, try using vol UP+DOWN at the same time. perhaps the stock recovery isn't modified from SBF?
Woot that worked. got into recovery. wiped data and tryed a reboot, got stuck at logo again. should i try flashing back to the Rubix focused i had before?
Edit: it now boots into <3e> recovery and i get the e: signature verification failed instillation aborted when i try to install Rubix or Gingerale.
You can't install a custom roms from stock recovery

Stuck in a bootloop

I am having bootloop problem with my galaxy note n7000
I had stock LP8 version of ICS before. I rooted it using cf-root cwm v5.5. I took a nandroid backup of my rom. And then used triangle away app to remove the triangle. It went to special boot mode and resetted my counter.
I tried formatting my phone from clockwork recovery but failed to do so as it seemed to stuck there for long. I switched it on and restarted it went into bootloop showing galaxy note again and again.
I went ahead and flashed LP8 rom via odin. It didnt seemed to help as it was stuck again in bootloop. Tried factory wipe from stock recovery and cache wipe. Still no respite.
I thought rom was buggy and went ahead and flashed gb KK1 rom via odin. But still it didnt helped and i am stuck in the bootloop.
Please help me. Also it shows custom count as 'no' and binary as
'Samsung official'. Does it means I can claim warranty?
Sorry for the long post, but it was my first post and wanted to put all details. Please help me.

pretty sure cf-root v5.6 has the possible fix , 5.5 doesnt , so you have more than likely bricked your phone ( did you read any of the warnings before you started flashing...there are several of them) what is the situation with your phone now , whats showing on the screen? can you go into download mode , also there is an app for checking your emmc condition see if it passes that first http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709054
Flash stock Gingerbread firmware then factory reset from recovery
DO NOT perform factory reset on stock ICS kernel or CF-Root 5.5
----
If it is not yet superbricked phone won't stuck at flashing firmware.
My phone is still able to go into stock recovery and downloading mode. And flashing via odin, it completes normally and reboots. But then bootloops. About you suggesting emmc phase check, will search abou it. Thanks for advice.

I think i made that mistake before. I was on ICS kernel and cwm 5.5. And i did a factory reset. I never thought it would be a problem. Should have researched more. But please help me. Is there a workaround for this?

If flashing succeeds, then do not worry.
As I said flash stock gingerbread rom then factory reset from recovery.
And use only safe kernels on ICS.
Safe kernels:
CF-Root 5.6 Safe but do not use it to flash roms
Franco kernel R3 and above
SpeedMod kernel
Goku kernel
NoteCore Kernel
DAFUQ kernel

I did flash my regional stock kernel xxkk1 via odin and did factory reset too from stock recovery. But still bootloops. Do i have to flash any of the kernel above seperately? The question might seem stupid, but tell me if i got it right.. 1. Flash stock kernel 2. Factory reset 3. Flash one of the above said kernels

Flash stock gingerbread rom with pc odin.
If it succeeds, boot into recovery (volume up + home key + power button)
then select factory reset.
then reboot.

The kernels I mentioned in the previous post are ICS kernels. Do not use those on gingernread.

I am sorry. I really do not know what is wrong.
It does not sound like superbrick though.
Wait till experts help you with this problem, good luck.
I read this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1633943
and have realized that i have bricked my phone.
Because i attempted a factory wipe on unsafe official kernel and recovery cwm 5.5.
It corrupted a drive and is hardbricked.
However is there any workaround? My recovery and downloading mode both are working.
Again summarizing
1. on official kernel rooted with cf-5.5
2. Attempted factory wipe from recovery - stuck and restarting stuck in bootloop
3. Flashed the official ics kernel again - no boot up, went to recovery wiped, still stuck at logo
4. Flashed an old gb official kernel, still stuck at logo.
Is there anything i can do? Or my SGN is as good as dead?

There are threads on getting it working again with the use of pit files and partitioning etc but you may end up with hardly any storage left and might still not be usable.either take it in to Samsung service center or send it in and tell them you had an ota update and it never rebooted or say you did a factory reset as your phone was acting up..Don't tell them any thing about rooting or roms... it was on stock .you get me! They will change your mobo for free then mate

No yellow triangle, counter is zero, custom binary says NO, can't boot up => there's no way to check if it was rooted.

I've done something similar to my note, despite flashing stock gb etc through odin (which goes through with no errors etc..) i'm still stuck at the galaxy note startup screen. If i try an ICS stock rom it'll go a little further to the samsung startup logo/jingle and then sits there.
is there nothing that can be done at this point?
my binary count is 4 now so i'm guessing i will have to pay samsung to get it resolved if it is indeed bricked, does anyone know who much this is likely to cost?
also, is there a way of determining for sure if my phone is bricked/caught he emmc bug?.
thanks all in advance, i spent hours and hours trying to get my phone back so i'm pretty deperate now.

samsung refuse to give me warranty on it as in my recovery screen i have a something like a "phone . . yellow exclamation . . monitor" and stated firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recover mode in kies & try again "
You had a binary counter and the custom firmware yellow triangle it seems :-(. That explains it, it is an indicator that you flashed unofficial firmware to your phone and voided the warranty

will not boot up

I have an AT&T galaxy s4 that will not boot up. I tried to flash the ROM and install SlimBean 4.2.2 build 6. after it was installed and everything, the screen went black and will not show anything. It wont go into recovery mode and vibrates every 5 seconds whenever i power it on. i tried to flash the stock rom using odin, but that didnt work either. somebody please help!
Can you provide a link to exactly what it was you flashed?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
i cant post outside links yet, but i used the one off of phone rebel's website. i found the link under "How To Unroot & Unbrick Samsung Galaxy S4 – Return To Stock AT&T, Sprint, T-mobile, Verizon & More!"
Firstly, why would you flash anything off an iOS website? Secondly, I meant a link to what you flashed before it bricked, not after.

i didnt think that it was an iOS site. and im sorry, i thought you meant the other one.
this is the one i tried at first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292474[url]

Update: i found the link for the stock rom under http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261573
attempted to flash it using odin, but nothing has changed.
I'm unable to get into recovery mode or boot up the device. I can only go in to download mode. Any attempt to boot up the device or go in to recovery mode results in a blank screen and small vibrations every 5 seconds.
this all started after i attempted to flash SlimBean on to my US AT&T Galaxy S4.
can somebody please help me? im desperate and need assistance!

If you can go to download mode you can Odin back to stock. There's tons of Odin guides. I can't link because I'm on mobile but I'm sure you can search. As long as you have download mode youre not bricked and all is fine. Just be sure to have latest Samsung drivers installed for your PC.

It sounds like you tried to flash a ROM or Kernel that is not intended for the AT&T S4 and bricked your phone (screwed up your partitions). If so, you might want to look into JTag repair services. There is a PIT file available for the 16GB version of the phone but I wouldn't touch it if you don't know what you are doing.
Odin is working fine, and whenever i try to flash it back to stock, odin says that it passed, everythings good, etc. But then when phone reboots, it just stays at that blank screen and keeps vibrating.
And could you refer me to a guide or something on PIT files or JTAG services, please?
Exactly what he did, looks as if he flashed the incorrect kernel.
Odin is the answer.

pull your battery and wait a few seconds. place the battery back in and immediately press the recovery button combo (vol up + home + power. release just the power button when the device vibrates and you see the blue script in the top left corner).
if this gets you into recovery, wipe data and cache. reboot.
In Odin are you using the phone option or the pda option?
Please make sure you follow the Odin instructions exactly to the T.

in Odin im using the PDA option, just like all of the threads and guides said to do.
and i tried the recovery combo a few times, nothing showed up. it just kept vibrating like before

You guys need to start providing links to exactly what you flashed. How is anyone supposed to know if it really was a "wrong kernel" or if it was a seemingly correct kernel that people should stay away from?
Edit: sorry, not you HeartAttack; I know you did.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
i did earlier. i tried to flash slimbean on to mine (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292474) which is under the AT&T GS4 section, so i thought it wouldve been compatible. i was obviously wrong.
So this is what happened to me:
I flashed the foxhound rom (link) using CWM, (Wipe data, clear cache, & clear delvik cache. It installed perfectly, but because this is not an AT&T rom, I was having wifi issues.
Rather rewiping the data, clearing all caches and reinstalling the rom and then the ktweaker kernel, I just installed the ktweaker kernel (link) that I got off from galaxys4root.com.
This was my first time using this kernel with this rom. Since it was an AOSP rom I uses this kernel because it was also AOSP.
So now I'm stuck in this cycle where my phone vibrates every 3 seconds on a blank screen. I can enter download mode and I have used odin to flash original stock firmware, but I come back to this same issue every time. As OP mentioned, I am also not able to access CWM recovery after holding down keys to enter recovery.
NOTE: I believe every time the phone vibrates (every 3 seconds), the phone itself is rebooting. Therefore I don't have enough time enter recovery.

stuck in a boot loop

need some help guys. im stuck in a bootloop. I used QBKING;s videos to root and install a custom recovery. this all went flawless. I then used his video to get native hotspot working and this is where it began. Upon completion my first boot hung on the sprint boot animation. I pulled the battery and booted into recovery to restore my nandroid that was a stock rooted nandroid i did before the attempt to get hotspot working. now my phone just bootloops at the galaxy s4 screen. How can i get out of this? is my only option to install a custom rom? I am on mk2 and can get into recovery and download mode if this helps.
Ive tried wiping cache, dalvik and doing a factory reset with the same results.
just tried installing a stock rooted deodeked rom also a 4.3 mk2 rom. and im still bootlooping.
can someone send me a link to an unrooted stock 4.3 mk2 tar that i can flash in odin...im having trouble finding it

If you still want to unlock the hotspot, you will find the correct files for the MK2 software in post 337 of the hot spot mod thread in the android development section. If you use a version that doesn't match your current software version you will get another bootloop.

[Q] unbrick Sprint Galaxy S4 SPH-L720

I installed cyanogenmod & clockworkmod yesterday and it appeared to work fine. But this morning, it was bricked and when I try to boot it up, it quickly flashes the Samsung Galaxy S4 screen and then shuts off again. It does not boot into recovery mode at all, but it does boot into download/odin mode. When i tried to install the stock rom through download/odin mode it kept coming up with fail messages in the odin pc application. I tried multiple versions of odin yet it continued to fail, when I took it to the Sprint store they said there was nothing they could do but have me send it back to Samsung, and since it is rooted with a custom rom Samsung may not honor the warranty. What, if any, are my options for installing a working rom and getting it to at least boot into recovery mode? Thank you.

Um, this is awkward but after many attempts to re-install clockworkmod, so I could boot into recovery mode, it finally, magically, worked! I had to use some mac software and push the file onto my phone through download mode but it somehow worked, thank you for your help but I already have cyanogenmod running again. Thanks again! :victory:
same thing happened to me, ODIN wasn't letting me flash anything, then I realized I accidentally screwed up my bootloader and I found the most updated version that no one had posted on the forums. I still couldn't get my phone to boot (boot loop), so I just took the SIM card out and it booted just fine.... I put the card back in and everything was okay. I don't know wtf happened, but I thought I screwed up my phone the first hour I had it.
