[Q] Stuck on bootlogo after secsettings.apk - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
So recently I've rooted my galaxy s4 GT-I9505 and I wanted to install the secsettings.apk from the gs5 [PORTED], i forgot to change the permissions (r-r-w-r-- idk how to write it) and now I'm stuck on the bootlogo!
Please someone help me!

i dont think there is a solution expect the wiping

I don't think wiping would help. Because the file that he changed doesn't get wiped. Only a reflash would help you.
Or you can restore your backup which you made of course.

For me CWM seems a bit more stable atm then TWRP, try Philz Touch CWM or Chenglu`s CWM (both in original android development). No, a data factory reset doesn`t install the apps you deleted, you need to reflash the stock rom for that with (Mobile) Odin.

[Q] How can i restore a backup on GT-I9515?

Hey there maybe someone can help me?
I have a GT-I9515 rooted, and with Philz recovery version 6.23.9 I can do backups but cant find them to restore.
So far I found out that they where saved in "/data/media/0/clockwork/" but Recovery wont find them to restore no matter where else i put them.
would be great if someone could tell me what to do to restore them
Nevermind...
Went back to stock and started from scratch, now all is fine

What filesystem are you on? Which recovery do you use? What rom did you last use before this happened?
Sent from my GT-I9301I using XDA Free mobile app

Just download a stock firmware for your mobile. And flash it through Odin. Your problem will be solved.
It has been solved by changing recovery............

Note 4 bootloop

Hello everyone! So today I've rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and well went fine. After that I did a backup with Titanium Backup Pro, and put this ROM on the internal storage of the phone. I went into TWRP and did a factory reset (sintead of a data wipe as the topic said I should) and then flashed the ROM. Now I am stuck in a bootloop.
What and how can I do something to fix this? I must mention I'm kind of a noob into all of these root stuff, so please take me easy.
Which version of Note 4 do you have? N910F, N910C, ...?
The ROM that you've intalled is for N910F.
Did you flashed the right modem and bootloader aswell?

EFS folder deleted and not recoverable from TWRP backup - Verizon Note 4 N910V

Guys i need help as I have lost my EFS folder. Summary of how it happened is as below:
Initially I had Note 4 Verizon version running Lollipop 5.0.1
I used a method to turn it into Developer Edition (DE) and I was successful in doing that.
Once got through that I installed customer Recovery (TWRP) and made a backup for it (including EFS folder and everything else)
After that I got SUPERSU installed and root access to my mobile.
Everything until this point was smooth and no issues until I installed XPOSED FRAMEWORK and my mobile got stuck on the boot screen.
After alot of hit and tries I used TWRP for Factory reset and WiPE DATA.
Since then I was totally lost in a boot loop.
I used ODIN with official ROM (downloaded through SAMMOBILE) for my variant and restored the boot but again my mobile went back to stock version.
Now the problem is that my phone gives me a message "FACTORY MODE IS ON ........................................."
Now my WiFi turns OFF automatically and everytime I bootup my mobile I have to enter passcodes for WiFi every single time.
I have again got it into Developer Mode and got the root access as well but when I check the EFS folder using TWRP, ROOT EXPLORER or any other software which has access to root files I can see that EFS folder is empty.
I even tried restoring the backup through TWRP (first time complete and 2nd time only EFS folder). It shows success but still EFS folder is empty.
Now I need support if anyone can either help me with the EFS file or help me restore the EFS file that I have available through TWRP backup.
In desperate need of help because I have tried every method I can find on this forum or after google results but none is working...
Any support to help it work will be very helpful and save me from losing my only source of mobile communication.
ThankS!!!
