Hey guys,
I have the Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 (GERMAN VERSION) and want to install a cyanogenmod nightly (an updated). I installed a snapshot (jfltexx) M3 on my S4, its rebooting sometimes (crashing) and i saw that the jflte updated today last time and the jfltexx versions 3 Months ago.
So what version can i choose? Can i install also the jflte CM Version? Is it working?
Cause i wanna get updates :/
Please tell me if i can install also jflte Version.
Thanks!

Cyanogenmod has made all builds unified so yes you can flash the jflte version without problems

Hi,
What is the difference between JFLTE and JFLTEXX? I have an Indian version (non-LTE model) of S4 with Exynos chipset. Does this fall under the JFLTE or the JFLTEXX device model?

JFLTE is same as XX version
So if its cyanogen your wanting to Flash the JFLTE is fine
I thought they de-unified the projects.
Go to the Original Android Development and download either the optimized CM12 builds or the normal CM12 builds.
The CM12 builds are at a final state. The dev works now only on CM12.1 builds. So if you want updates go with CM12.1.
You can also find Saber CM12.1 Rom in the Android Development section. It is based on CM12.1 but with Saber optimizations.
I just wanted to let you all know that I have been doing some much needed housecleaning on my PC and I just uploaded, to my File Host Account, a ton of (untouched) CyanogenMod releases for archival purposes that date back to CM10 (and even earlier in some cases) for the d2vzw, d2lte, jfltevzw and jfltexxx.
If anyone is interested in any/all of them, they can go to the following link(s):
D2VZW
D2LTE
JFLTEVZW
JFLTEXX
Though, I'm pretty confident that I uploaded all of what I have, i plan to upload any additional ones if i come across any more.
ENJOY!

Hello there is there any chance at all to make a custom ROM for Galaxy S5 + G901F ( Europe version - this device is sold instead of G900F since october 2014 ) ? There is the official Lollipop 5.02 and a ported unofficial CM12 for it, but the developer doesn't have this device and there are bugs, too bad for such a wonderful device with awesome upgraded specs. All Europe is waiting LOL. THANKS
check s5 Android dev section, bugs in cm 12 are very litle, just read the topic

yep, i have that one installed, i've got random reboots, with the same apps i had installd on 5.02 official, and it never reboots in the same situation, sometimes browsing, sometimes just turning the flash on etc. ,today i had 4 reboots, one when i was talking on the phone, i've written in the thread, i was hoping that some dev thinks about making a custom rom, like the ones for the G900F , at least a dev that has the device
So I'm looking forward to get Cyanogenmod on my S4 (i9505). Well the question is which Version I should get: CM12, CM11 or CM10. According to Cyanogenmod, some CM10 Version is the actual release Version, but for me Android 4.3 is too old (running lollipop custom rom atm). I was browsing xda and I found these Versions:
1. Unofficial CM12.1 (Android: 5.1): http://goo.gl/itgzzV
It's an unofficial Version Optimized by some really popular Devs on xda.
2. Unofficial CM12: http://goo.gl/xK7x52
This one is an optimized CM12 of the same Devs with the CM12.1 project
3. Official CM12 nightlies: http://goo.gl/LtKtcG
4. Optimized CM12: http://goo.gl/PZ8AkO
This is an optimized version of CM12 in terms of speed
So these are just some CM12 Roms, which one should I get and why? If you have other suggestions pls list them, I will include them as well in this thread or make a list of all Cyanogenmod Versions for the i9505.
Thanks for reading through this thread and thanks for all answers
Hello mate,
I'm the developer of the first two and official maintainer of the third, as you can notice yourself. Firstly, I want to correct:
-except official CM12 nightlies, all the other three are unofficial: one is Optimized CM12.1, one Optimized CM12 and the last one is SaberMod CM12
My suggestion is to not install CM12.1 for now as daily driver since it's unstable (audio issues in calls) and I need time to fix.
The best thing would be to try out both three and choose to keep the one which suits more your needs
Inviato dal mio GT-I9505
I have flashed only 2 roms on my device. GPE and the optimized builds by AntaresOne.
The optimzed builds are pretty fast and stable, but there are some bugs and issues.
On the latest CM12 optimized build, for instance, I can't move apps to SD. It says that I don't have enough space. And there are some issues with restoring apps using titanium backup.
I don't know how stable and bug-free the nightlies are, but I don't think they compare to the other CM12 in terms of speed and resource usage. There is a reason why they put "Optimzed" in the thread title
It depends mostly on what you want and what you're looking for in a rom.
Hi everyone.
Does anyone have an idea if the "official" nightly of the i9506 from the cyanogen site is ready to install at the mom.
http://download.cyanogenmod.org/get/jenkins/111730/cm-12-20150526-NIGHTLY-ks01lte.zip
I tried it a while ago with cm11 but at that time it stuck during start at the samsung logo.
At the moment I am on teamsek rom but it seems that the development of this tree has been closed, so I am searching for a alternate rom and in my opinion it would be the best to use the official cyanogenmod, because there are always regular updates.
Thx,
Harald
I hate Android 5+ so damn much but the CM download page is down for whatever reason (503). Does anyone have a copy of the CM 11 ROM for the USC Galaxy S5?
Here's one for plain KLTE. I just searched cm 11 snapshot klte. Try that for your device.

EDIT: And here is an unofficial build of cm-11 temasek for klteusc.

Thanks, will try them.
I hate most of the new Android versions and my S4 runs happily on 4.4.4. My S5 is running a 6.0.1 version of SlimRom, which is quite awful, but it's better than anything else I tried.
Honestly I'll probably use KitKat until it's officially depreciated by Google.
4.3 has the best customisation support, literally anything can be customized. I had 4.3 on an LG P505 and it was awesome, but 4.4.4 was probably the best version of Android ever released.
Give this a try. Hope it helps.

I recently unlocked the bootloader of my Samsung Galaxy s5 (klte) and have flashed the latest version of Resurrection Remix to it. I was wondering if there was a CM or some other AOSP based ROM off ICS. Don't ask why I need an ICS based ROM, but reply to this thread if you have any information which might be helpful!

Hi there,
I've never heard of a S5 running ICS before, after all, the phone was initially released with KK and so I don't think any developers would see the point of supporting an outdated ROM.

Alright. I'm sad to hear that, but I can see the logic. Thanks for the info.
It won't be possible. Snapdragon 801/800 devices doesn't even have a device with ICS. It would more likely to be able to use 4.3 from N3 but there would be not much point to use outdate android.
