[Q] Bootloop on NC2 - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay Ive been searching around for solutions for my bootloop and most people are obviously saying odin back to mje. I was wondering how odin will recognize my phone if it keeps powering off and on. Yes I tried to hold the power home and volume up key. It boots up, vibrates twice, says recovery booting... then powers down, repeats. I removed the battery and that didnt help. Any thoughts, Im on beans stock nc2 odexed rom. I also tried the tutorial in thread about bootloops, I held down power home and volume down but nothing changes it still is trying to boot into recovery , then turns off and repeats.
-the whole reason this came about is when I was going to power down so I held the power button and then the custom 4 option power down menu came up and i accidentally clicked recovery when I meant to push power off, then this happened-

Use volume DOWN +home +power then when the menu comes up press volume up. Then you are in Odin mode. You said you are pressing volume UP + home + pwr. That is wrong.

You need to hold Power, Home and Volume Down to get into download mode to flash MJE with Odin.

Power down completely and then hold vol down, home and power. That boots you into download mode which you use to flash MJE with odin. If/when you get into download mode, it shouldn't reboot. If it does then you have other problems!

I cant manually power down because of this boot loop, so i removed the battery, as soon as my battery touches the metal prongs to connect, the phone boots up and tries to boot into recovery , when it restarted I tried what all of you said, power, home and volume DOWN and nothing happens

Make sure you have all three buttons pressed when you put in battery.

Cant boot into recovery of fastboot mode

Hi,
I flashed TWRP and CM 10.1 but then I got problems with the phone not charging (still having that issue but will post it in another thread). Anyhow I decided to reflash the the stock rom and during the flash the phone randomly restarted. Luckily for me I was able to boot up and everything is working fine. the only problem is i can now longer access my system recovery (power and vol down) or fastboot mode (power and vol up). When trying power and vol down the phone starts up as normal. when trying power and vol up the phone vibrates, the bottom 3 keys light up and then nothing. I have to then hold down the power button to turn the phone off and back on. I hope someone can help me troubleshoot this as I have no idea what to do.
Many Thanks!

Recovery is accessed by volume up, volume down, and power held down simultaneously for approximately 10 seconds or until you see recovery. Not sure about fastboot. Have you tried to see if your in fastboot by using adb and checking for fastboot devices. You may be getting fastboot mode. I forget if it actually said anything on the screen. Good luck!

Download mode is volume down+home button+power button
Recovery is by pressing the volume up+home button +power button till the logo appears and then leave the combo and within a fraction of a second press the volume up+centre button (not the power button now)
Rest if your phone is actually not going in the download mode how in this world did you reinstall the stock firmware?

I follow your instruction on how to go to recovery and I successfully do it. Done factory reset and wipe cache but still it stuck on samsung logo/boot animation.
I can go to download mode and completely reinstall stock firmware but still the same.
Try doing a factory reset and reboot, when rebooting remove the battery and put it back,
Now go to download mode and flash the stock firmware

Need help! S4 can't go in recovery

Hello! When I power the device on the Samsung Logo appears for 1 second and then it turns off. I can go in download mode but can't in recovery. It just flashes again the Samsung logo and turns off. I tried to flash stock firmware via Odin. It was a success but again the same thing happened. Did I brick the device? Thanks!
When you flashed recovery, did you uncheck auto reboot and boot into stock recovery to perform a factory wipe before booting for the first time?
Does the rom boot?

The actual way to enter recovery is.
Volume up+home+power button
As soon as you see the Samsung logo..leave the combo then within a jiffy press the volume up+home button (no power button...NO POWER BUTTON!!!)
You will enter recovery.

the far simpler method is boot off, then hold volume up and power together (nothing else) until you see blue text at the top of the screen. at this point you instantly want to let go of everything, and that's it...
I've bricked my phone before with mobile Odin and it took out my recovery so I guess it's possible the OP might not actually have one.
@3mel, the stock rom combo is vol up + home + power button.
What you are reffering to is the custom rom combo. For some reason they are different.

Samsung Galaxy s7 Edge not booting to download mode.

Hello, i'm trying to boot into odin mode or even to recovery mode to flash the firmware as i keep getting an error "Android Keyboard AOSW has stopped working" , but when i try to go into recovery mode with volume up + home + power button, it does not give any options and restarts automatically.
i tried to put phone into download mode to flash it with stock firmware, but it isn't booting into download mode (volume down + home + power button), when i try to boot into download mode, phone turn on automatically, not going into download mode to flash firmware..
any idea or solution to put phone into download mode??

It WILL go into download mode sometimes it takes multiple tries. When I say multiple I mean more than 3 you must keep working the buttons.
Your phone isn't bricked

When I said multiple I'm not talking about 3 or 7 times I've had to keep working the buttons for a half hour a friend of mine two hours or more.
Hold Power button and volume down and immediately at black screen hold Power and home and Volume down
Keep working the buttons
Its very stubborn and frustrating

Is Android Keyboard Aosw(?) preinstall stock keyboard?
If yes then I'm afraid your device might be not a genuine S7 but a clone.
And that will answer why you can't enter recovery or download mode with this method.
Since stock keyboard on S7 is called "Samsung keyboard".

Be sure oem unlock and usb debugging is enabled, obviously no, you know that. Power on pc, run odin and connect the phone to the cable and try. already you tried?
your installed cyanogen on the phone?
never happened to me and it is very rare

I agree. Booting into odin is ridiculously easy.
At any time You can hold:
Home+vol down+ power
And from any kind of screen it will boot into ODIN mode.
So if that doesn't work then Your device is most probably just a clone.
Okay, this has happened to me as well. Pissed me off, best thing to tell you is. You have you phone, turn it off for a couple of seconds. Position your fingers in the Vol Down + Power and hold the middle down, try holding on the right side of the middle button. It should work, I would say if it doesn't. Once it has restarted, turn it off and give it a second and try again.
Is the phone connected to a charger or computer? I've had problems with multiple phones refusing to boot into recovery while charging.

Hi, I think your right, I bought this online saying its a version from South Korea. Do you know how we can fix it?or if you have other options that would fix it?
All android phones even clones have Android Recovery.
Try this:
Turn off Your phone and press and hold VOLUME UP and then Power, when Your phone turns on (boot logo) keep holding volume up but let go of power button.
If that doesn't work then hold volume down and do the same thing as above.
Now when You hopefully booted up recovery mode, use volume buttons to go down to factory reset, press power button to confirm and then wait until You'll see something like "Factory reset complete" .
Most clones have fastboot/mtk based bootloaders so holding volume button and power button without home button should work.

I just did that and what showed is the android robot icon lying down with a red exclamation point on it and stays there and does nothing...
That's good. Now You should press either one of volume buttons or power button (just a single short press) and recovery menu should show up. And there You should choose factory reset.

Stuck at boot screen

Recently tried to flash a new bootloader and modem in my S7 Edge through Odin, but now the screen is stuck in the Powered By Android initial boot screen. I cannot turn it off by using the power button, the only thing that works is if I press the power button + volume down, however that does not take me to the Download Mode but instead just restarts the phone and back into the Powered By Android screen. Volume Up + Power does not seem to be working.
Am getting desperate now, please help!

Managed to fix it
What I did was keep holding volume down + menu button + power without letting go. It rebooted into the Powered by Android many times but after about 3-5 minutes of holding it straight it finally sent me to the download mode where I was able to install stock S7 Rom.
