Yes there is and all you need to do is fully port the Rom, get WiFi/data/sms/mms/touchwiz/sensors/led lights/home,menu and back buttons/camera/kernel/bluetooth/nfc/etc and after everything is finally working, after all your hard work you will have touchwiz on the g2

Just a question, I know for a lot of other phone a Canadian equivalence phone (ie Sammy s3 and note 2) can use at&t ROM with out mods...is this the same case for the d803? Can we use d800 ROM without modding? I just find there's limited ROM for d803, please advice.
J
I dont think so from what ive read. I downloaded an att ROM today actually and removed the boot.img from it. Going to flash later when i get home and see what happens.
It would be nice if the LG roms worked like sammy...being able to flash without issue across diff models/carriers especially since roms for the d803 are limited.

[Q] Hard Reset To Stock?>>>SERIOUSLY WORKS!! Restore stock to all LG phones!!
Trying to get my D803, the devil of G2's back to stock. Anything I do or want to try will show my software as 802 or another variant which then won't allow stock 803 firmware to be installed...not that I've been able to sort out anyways. My eyes are burning from reading and my fingers are sore from typing in search bars lol.
So please, does anyone know if I am on a custom ROM that shows software as D802 but the device still shows as D803 under settings, what the chances are of blowing up my phone if I do a hard factory reset to get back to stock?
Edit>>>>> Make sure you have your device's proper kdz file from here....http://lg-phone-firmware.com/
Then head over to cmahendra's thread. Makes sure you follow his instructions step by step, including any editing of files etc....and then thank him tons

Hmm well that Roms for both d802 and d803 so that's why it shows d802....guessing you don't have a backup...I'd just look for a stock d803 ROM...if there is any

Houstonns Pa ROM in original development thread says d803 compatible maybe that will make it show d803 then from there see if it recognizes your phone as d803 to flash back to stock....never noticed how little development there is for that variant
Also Heatshiver SX ROM in android development forum is d803 compatible...
SERIOUSLY WORKS!!! Restore stock all LG phones
If you need to seriously get back have to stock this is how you do it..... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36351786
If you use @cmahendra 's steps please thank him! After going through mazes of information that did nothing his worked like a charm. You may have to hard reset at the end so back up you stuff!!
He says it works for all LG phones and it worked for mine. I didn't to change to com 4 or com 41 or anything. Take your time follow the steps and thank him!!!!!
Bump one time
I bought a galaxy s4, unfortunately it wasn't able to install CM since it had a new firmware. so I'm asking here so I don't run into this with the G2. I'm planning to get the att or tmobile version. do you still have to go back to stock att firmware? I also want to root.
thanks.

Hello, the ROM I recommend you use is CyanogenMod 11, I'm using this ROM right now on my LG G2, and I love the performance and numerous customizations you can do with it.[emoji4][emoji4][emoji4], what's your variant of the LG G2?

No problem [emoji4], the knock on gesture will still exist on the LG G2 running CyanogenMod 11, you'll just have to knock on the status bar to lock your phone, and you can knock on your screen to turn your phone back on again, make sure you backup your Stock LG ROM using TWRP before you continue to install the ROM, and download the latest Gapps(Google Apps) for the Rom.[emoji4][emoji4]
Good Luck[emoji106][emoji106]

Hi,
I recently attempted and failed to rom my vs980.
I installed sprint rom but was unable to get any signal and no screen rotation. I am using my vs980 in the uk on three mobile.
I then tried cloud's g3 rom and again no signal and all sorts of errors.
After half a day of messing i managed to recover to stock 4.42 and have a working g2 once again.
Im quite keen to rom my g2 but unsure if it is global mode that isnt working on roms? Is anyone using a vs980 in another part of the world? Great phone just want to make more use of it.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Reuben

Its a verizon phone, meaning you have to use a rom that's for the vs980, I'm using my vs980 from verizon on straight talk in NY right now.

enter your imei here http://lg-firmware-rom.com/
Both custom roms were supposed to be suitable for the vs980.
Just upon trying no good, i have done the imei checker and i am currently on the latest rom. Good link tho as i am unable to update ota from here on a different network, this should keep me upto date with verizon roms.
If i cant get a custom rom working is there a way to remove all the vewrizon bloatware?
