Hello,
First I must say, that I'm not English native speaker, so sorry for any language mistakes.
I have a pretty serious problem with my Galaxy S4 LTE I9505. I downloaded the latest official ROM for my model (I9505XXUBMGA_I9505OXXBMG3_XEO) from SamMobile and I wanted to flash it via Odin 3.07 (previously I had CyanogenMod 10.2). But during the flashing process Odin give me "FAIL".
After that my phone was showing downloading screen with this information:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-I9505
CURRENT BINARY: Sansung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1
CSB-CONFIG-LSB: 0x30
WRITE PROTECTION: Enable
SW. REV: CHECK FAIL: fused: 2, Binary: 1
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again"

Of course I was trying Emergency Recovery option in Kies, but it was failing all the time. I also was trying to flash it again, but Odin again shows me "FAIL" during the process. So I choose re-partition with PIT file and stock, branded ROM (I9505XXUAMDE_I9505PLSAMD8_I9505XXUAMDE_HOME). And it works, now I can boot my phone and original recovery without any problems, but unfortunatly I can't enable Wi-Fi module and any function that needs sounds just don't work (phone calling, system sounds, notifications etc.). Kies don't want to update my OS from stock, branded version to newest one (error while updating device). I also tried this on different PC, but it's always showing "FAIL" in Odin.
What should I do to get back to stock firmware? Right now I can only send text messanges and use internet via carrier data plan...

Thanks for this, it's very helpful. So now what? Can I do something with my bricked S4? Or I must wait for some solution or throw it away?

re flash your original updated firmware. let it boot up and then do a factory reset vol up-power and home. hope this helps
You can install the any stock rom that ends on H8
samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9505
You will not have root access anymore and are stucked with unremovable annoying system apps...
But thats the price to pay to have your phone back. I was phoneless for 3 days because of this. I'm happy to be still alive, but also wondering if live without root is worth it..

On samobile, I took the UK kernel (ending on H8) and downloaded both the firmware and kernel. I used odin and flashed both (PDA). Then I did a factory reset and everything was up and running again

You have already update new Bootloader from Samsung. You can not flash rom old version before.

do you think that would work for DBT firmware MH5
Hi everybody, I have a problem with my galaxy note 3.
I'm using Omega Droid (newest version).
Yesterday I would use my note 3 and after unlock the system process force closed.
The device is very very slow and no sound plays anymore.
I flashed then the official rom.
Same thing no sound...
Everytime I use sound eg. Music, ringtone or so the system crash with a force close.
I rooted the device and take a logcat.
It seems that the audio hardware is broken.
Can anyone help or should I contact the service center?

Obviously contact a service centre.
If flashing cutom rom and kernel didn't fix it, it's probably hardware.
OK I send it in to the service center.
No repair because root...
(Knox 0 x1)
What can I do?
I have flashed 10 roms and 5 kernels... Problem exists everytime.
No sound, force closes, system hangs on volume control.
Please help me

I had the same problem with a Galaxy Express after flashing a ROM from a different Region (no sound, force closes, very laggy device). Solution : Flash the stock firmware (the one that your phone came with) from your region. Don't try another region or another ROM, try the stock one from your region. Right after every flash you have to go to Recovery and Wipe Data & Wipe Cache, if you don't do this you will still face the same problem.

I have flashed N9005XXUDMJ7 it's a DBT ROM. I'm from Germany.
The smartphone is from eplus (base).
I have searched on sammobile. But no eplus ROM for my device.
With the N9005XXUDMJ7 ROM problem exist too...
I think that the hardware is broken.
My camera force closed too.
When I check my camera firmware it says no camera device found...
I think it's a case for the repair service for e. g. 100 euro or so on...

I also got N9005 32GB version which was purchased from Kogan Australia. I used this:
CSB_signed_HLTE_EUR_OPEN_32G_0805.pit (google it, i can attach it here)
N9005ZHUENF1_N9005ZZHENF1_N9005ZHUENF1_HOME.tar.md5
This firmware is from HK. Please download it from Sammobile. I am damn sure that it will work. Just do a Factory reset one you successfully flash it via Odin.
Please update me with your result. Best of luck!!

I think my S4 is semi-bricked. When switch on, the phone go into Kies recovery mode. When using Odin, the download just stopped half way.
Is there a way to resurrect my S4?
Any help appreciated.

Hi mate ,
If you can get into download there is still hope...
First thing i would do is a factory reset and see if it helps.
Please more detail , what S4 you have , when this started, what rom you had , what rom are you flashing, what errors Odin gave you??????
Also check this thread

I am not aware of Samsung blocking this feature, if you really do please provide a linkto the information. You may have a phone that has been altered or modified, perhaps not a 910C or if a used purchase it may be damaged. GL
I have Samsung galaxy note 4 sm-n910c. I have installed custom note 7 port Nemesis Refined Rom. So it's working jus like note 7. With all features including edge screen features. So I suggest you to install the same and have great features with great fun. After the install of Rom download the latest patch and flash it using TWRP or Odin whatever of your choice.
Help i also have this problem too.. Exact same as you and i dont know what to do...
Try using Samsung Kies3 and perform a restore using that.
