[Q] Will flashing different ROM Remove Network Lock from S5 ? - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My S5 is network locked to Vodafone UK, and has their ROM on it. If I rooted my phone and flashed a different ROM (the generic European S5 ROM for example), would this in effect unlock my phone, allowing me to use it with SIM cards from other networks ?

no it won't

[q] SW Rev Check Fail... Any solutions?

Apologies for creating an extra thread but i have still cant get my sm-n9005 working. I keep receiving a SW Rev check fail when flashing.
now what i think has happened is i have flashed a BTU firmware. the device is a TGY model so i am assuming that the bootloader on the BTU firmware is newer.
When trying to flash TGY firmware obviously has a older bootloader which i am guessing?
I would really really really appreciate if anyone could just help getting the phone on atleast?
Thanks
Only way I sorted this was to flash the original firmware that came with the phone or whatever latest update I had updated to.

Sim unlock

Hello and happy new year to the great dev's and everybody who made this forum a success.
I wanted to know if we're going to see any sim unlock for the T-Mobile galaxy s7 edge for international use?
I know this is no big deal to the great developers here but as we know this phone has its boot loader locked. Or is it possible to sim unlock without unlocking the boot?
I got it unlocked via imei method in just 35 dollar
