I'm looking to create a carousel that snaps to whatever page covers most of the screen after a swipe, similar to how swipes can move through pages of android shortcuts and widgets. Each page should be able to display any assortment of layouts, data, or pictures.
I have looked at the resources on the "Creating an Android Image Carousel" page by Giancarlo Leonio. However, most questions are unanswered or do not apply to android.
I have seen tutorials with a viewpager, but they immediately switch pages after a swipe. I prefer that the pages appear to be connected.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi
2 questions please:
1) Is there any way of speeding up the TouchFlo scrolling on the web browser? On long pages I have to swipe so many times to get to the bottom as the page doesn't shift that much with each swipe. I'd like to be able to swipe at the speed that the "All Programs" list goes at. Have installed HD Tweak, but that doesn't improve at all.
2) Is there any way of adding a shortcut to the homepage for the Tasks list underneath the Call History and Calendar shortcuts?
Thanks
Arjay
I have been creating basic widgets that just access specific mobile webites (similar to those created and published by Mobility Digest). Using their template creates scroll bars on my widgets. What can I do to get rid of the scroll bars? The MS Widgets do not show scroll bars even when scrolling is needed.
Thanks in advance.
In the html tag for the website add the tag "scroll=no". This will remove the scroll bars, and keep the scrolling capability for "Touch" use.
I have a custom home screen panel created w/ the Titanium Configurator w/ 4 panels that I want to show sports scores on.
I know how to get the data from espn from MPIIIMan's post here and I already have it parsed the way I want it.
Is there a way to either display text or html in a way to make it scroll across the panel page. I know you can point the url at a file or page but I'd like it to be right there. I have searched the forum but I guess I haven't been using the right terms.
I just need some how-to's and/or instructions on how to create a fully custom panel.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
With all the talent that frequents this site I know someone can point me in the right direction.
Anyone????????
I cant post an image of my current homescreen because I can't post links yet.
I am creating a "hub" theme for my Iconia. I have screenshots of each page of the hub (home, web, news, mdeia, games) that I have turned in to picture frame widgets. Underneath each frame I used Minimalistic Text to create a link to each page using the method of stretching the MT over the corresponding launcher action (using ADW Ex).
What I want to know is is there a way to be able to link each picture frame to their corresponding page?? I would like to be able to press on either the screenshot preview OR the text to go to the hub page.
I have messed around with DVR and while I can create the actual icon, I can only link it to an app and not to the launcher action of "go to page ______".
If anyone knows a work around or programs that could facilitate this I would appreciate the insight.
ALSO!! I am looking for the Asus Mail Widget apk to complete my home hub. I am running Taboonay 2.1 right now and I don't wont to flash a different ROM to get it....ideas??
Thanks!!

Looks like you're using adw ex, so you can create the shortcut to the page you want and once its created, long press on the shortcut, select edit, and than press on the icon. This will allow you to select any picture you have on your device and use that picture instead of the default icon.
You may have to take some extra steps to get it setup how you want but this should get you in the right direction, I think you can figure out the rest . Oh and as a tip, I use the app "Simple Text" to create my icons. I just save the icon as a picture and than select it in adw. Not sure if the app your talking about lets you save the icon as a picture since I haven't used it. And I got a whole bunch of different text from a post (not sure if on here or not) that had a zip file download with 300+ different fonts.
For the mail widget, you can just pull the apk(s) out of a rom that has it and flash it to your tab. Or the taboonay kitchen may have it.
Thanks for your reply. I have used the method you are talking about the only problem is when I make the icons that way the end up being too small. And you cant stretch the icon.
I do use Simple Text for my icon replacements that you see. I have an invisible launcher action underneath each hub icon that takes me to the corresponding page. Was just hoping to do'the same with the smaller thumbnail previews....the invisible launcher icon method doesnt work for them!
I was just reading the latest gossip on Nexus phones. Saw a home screen shot of a page of icons and the icons looked slanted. Then it hit me - instead of swiping from screen to screen, what if the block icons (apps) just appear to individually rotate to the icon in that same position on the next page! Or put another way, the flat icon is actually a four sided box and only one side shows at a time. Swipe and all the boxes rotate to the next side you swipe toward. A widget would seem to rotate and morph into whatever is on the next home screen page!
That might look pretty 'fresh' compared to the current way of screen refresh we now know.?.
Sound promising?
So basically, like a Rubik's cube? Or am I picturing it wrong?
Yep. Looks like the icon of a specific app rotates as it was a cube. Are we right?
