1. root your phone using framaroot by @alephzain
2. install custom recovery given in the thread{{i used @rajit cwm recovery}}
3 we have to use q700i firmware for which hint is given in the thread.
after these simple steps we can use custom roms on xolo q700

I have searched the forum for Custom JB roms for spice Mi-425, but have unable to find a suitable one. Tried the Lewa Beta 4.2.1 from Needroms , but the same has installation problems. the Sim detection does not take place. The camera doesnt work. Tried separately installing the JB camera apk in my phone, but the same doesnt work...Same with the gapps face unlock .zip which is available in JB roms. Request help for correcting the Lewa beta ROm and also uploading custom roms for spice Mi-425. I have already rooted my phone with james kit and have flashed the available Custom Roms both Lewa and MIUI. ..Thanks to seniors in advance

I have a xolo q700 phone. I am trying to install custom rom in it using SP Flash tool. But when i connect my phone using USB. SP Flash tool is not able to search for my phone.

It's very confusing here I was trying to find a good rom for my galaxy s5 G900H but I think no roms are available for this model. Is it true?
I mean no specific detail are there for this model?

For device galaxy s5 model g900h:
There is principally 2 customs roms :
Xtrestolite v2.1 & SpaceRocket v4
Before it is recommendable to make BACKUP
For root ( Recommended CF-Auto-Root by Chainfire) use odin on download mode (reboot)
After you can install custom recovery
by mokiaa or philz or twrp
Always make backup ! dont forget it's vital
Next you can install customs roms
Using recovery mode
Otherwise
you ve all xda-dev search tools

The phone already have latest stock firmware version 25.0.B.2.31. I don't think we can backup stock ROM. Hence, got it using XperiFirm.
General Q: Do we need to root the phone to install custom ROM?
