[Q] ac apps makes my phone reboot itself - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have cm11 rom I9500 NIGHTLY. I used the app zazaremote for ELECTRA company ac.
when I do search all remotes, the phone reboots itself when I get to 197 code (I'm not sure).
what should I do?
thanks

I think your only solution is to try an other app or install a different rom, one that is not cm11 based.

dont install the cm 11 now because this rom not stable for this device..
try to install other rom

I tried other apps but the same happened.it started my ac and rebooted my phone.
I like this rom and I don't want to install a different one.
Do you think istalling TB backup of the data from my ac company would help?
thanks

If you use roms like cm11 there are bugs. It's a work in progress. So or you use something like a dualboot solution or you take a tw based rom.

I tried to download, and install it, but meanwhile the install procedure the phone rebooted :/
damn that sucks.. is there anyway to install an old full flash version?

cool let me know how you get on!
Intalled flash 10.1 but after this nothing happened..
No flash support in browser (opera)... and default browser don't working any more
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
i got the same result the browser just wouldnt open any web pages once the APK was installed.
How come it works for wildfire 2.1 and not 2.2??
I tryed this link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...9&postcount=16, istalling the flash player 10.1, but not working. I use HTC Wildfire.
Do I have something else to do it by this description?:::::: BUT!There's another thing inside - a permission called android.webkit.permission.PLUGIN. It is already used by Flash Lite on HTC devices. So my APK will work and replace Flash Lite. But I did not test, because I do own... Acer Liquid!
i have no clue .... i tried to search "com.google.android.feature.GOOGLE_PLUGIN" in the system folder and directories on the phone to "modify"?! but nothing yet....
i think we need a smarter people .. or shoud ask a Rom "maker" dude

Beta Test for BootManager(multi-boot app)

We've gotten alot of response from the Desire community so thank you all for your help. At this time we do not need any more testers for the desire. BootManager should be updated with support for the Htc Desire in the next few days. The app currently won't support rom's that use apps2sd and data2sd but our team is working on getting support for those as well. Thanks.
Hey guys my team has developed an app called bootmanager which went into the market today. The app let's you install rom's to your sdcard and boot between them. I had originally done an inc only version here that used your recovery for installing rom's. The new app installs the rom's directly through the app and then let's you boot between them. Anyway on to the point of this post...i'm looking for 1 or 2 beta testers to add support for the desire. You'll need a little knowledge of adb, root of course, and just a little bit of patience. So far has worked pretty well on every htc device wev'e tried so I'm confident we can add support for the desire as well. You can get a little more info about the app from the link in my sig or looking at it in the market. If your interested pm me so I can get the info needed for the desire(.i.e partition sizes and a few other things that i'll tell you how to find in adb) and I'll send the apk for you to try. Thanks for your help....
Very interesting app! Would hboot have to be compatible (ie right size) with all the installed roms or as they are installed to SD does it not matter?

by hboot your refferring to the bootloader? This doesn't change the bootloader. It makes img's on your sdcard which hold your system/data/cache files for the rom, then it edits the boot.img for that rom to point to those img's when booting. Then the app flashes the boot.img for the rom you want to boot too.
I would be very interested in trying this out as I pretty much change my ROM on a daily to weekly basis haha, I just can't stop! This would be a good way to nurture my need for all the ROMs I switch between all of the time.
Would this app work on a non rooted phone? I mean having the stock ROM in the phone and a rooted one on the SDcard. But I guess it wouln't...

No you need an unlocked bootloader to switch the boot.img. And root to do a number of other things involved in setting up the rom.

Once you go MIUI you don't go back I can't bring myself to use anything else LOL!
Oh I tried MIUI-XJ, it's nice to know that you're happy with it ^^ I used it for about three to four days and felt that I was using an iPhone more so than an Android and I prefer the feel/look of Android devices... I loved being able to theme it so easily, though. I like the transparency mods in NeoPhyte ROMs and bits and pieces of many others... I should just figure out how to make my own.
I hope that you got my response, Conap! My sent items folder said I hadn't sent anything but I am most positive that I did so I will wait to hear back from you =D.
Yeah, sure I could help with the testing... Do you want somebody with that knows ADB etc..?
got Miui XJ on phone rom and tried to boot CM7.
working without problems so far!
thank you. gonna look into this now
Should we run the update after the rom has been installed, so it updates the boot.img ? Haven't tried running the update.zip directly from bootmanager yet, but works fine from recovery.
Installed MIUI-108050 on my HTC Desire (stock boot/S-ON)
looks fantastic....im new to android and my desire but i am currently using neo's reflex s rom and i love it...i really want to try MIUI but i love reflex!
Gonna sticky this thread, keep up the hard work

What other roms did you try out that the front and rear cameras arent working on?
Do a full wipe and either reflash the ROM or flash another ROM.
I would suggest to just flash the latest CM7 nightly.
What other Roms have you tried. Are you possibly using the wrong kernel type for your Rom?
I agree with mackster, the easiest/best thing to do would do a FULL wipe and flash another rom, or redownload that rom and try to reflash it. (after a full wipe of course)
Edit: Lots of Rom choices listed in the link in my sig ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓

Are you having these problems with your ffc before or after restoring your apps (either by googles auto restore or via titanium or mybackup)?

I didnt even bother restoring my apps because i wasnt sure if i had to do a restore again, i tried qik and the stock camera app, but im also thinking that the wallpaper and theme is doin some funny stuff too like not changing when i switch to new roms...i just put the royal ginger rom on it and i have a wallpaper and theme from like 2 roms ago...so idk im all confused :/
this is all i know...i had the generation x v4 rom on my phone and it was working just fine, then i seen that generationx had a new version so i flashed that...thats when it all started...and since then ive tried to revert to tha rom that was working fine and its not fixing it

My Defy

Hi all,
my defy after some attempts is quite perfect :highfive:
I've tried different rom and configuration then I've solved my problems of Battery and fluidity with this step.
Factory Reset
wipe
Flash Rom (Android 4.1.2 Rom: 10-20130918 Get it there (Quarx))
Flash Gapps (Minimal)
wipe
Reboot
Battery Calibration when charged 100%
Nova Launcher
Then i've falled in love with my phone

I hope it will help someone
Good for you. But you did not mention the OS since there are many flavours of 4.1.2 out there. You also did not root it? sorry don't want to be a **** about it, but you are missing some points here.
Also, there is no need to - ever - calibrate battery. After 5 full load cycles it will always be calibrated.

It's stable but sluggish. I tried Quarx' 10.2 and SlimBean (JB4.3 based) before and I think they were more responsive.
Usb tethering and wifi hotspot dont work in any version so Im using Easytether and Wifi Tether Tom.
Cheers!

What is a Good Rom for this phone.

What is a good rom to run on this phone? I have tried a few and can't seem to find anything that works with out issue. I tried the latest SlimRom which I liked but It doesn't allow me root access. So apps like titanium backup don't work I've tried I think its OEO or something of that nature and it was ok and I don't care for CM11.
I am using the stock rom that came with the phone I think that is ICS

I have never found a more functional rom than mhous33 dst stock or the avistralia deodexed mod.
All the cm, pacman, aokp...... never work FOR ME in all the capacities of stock.
About TiBu, I have always found issues with it.
I use recovery advanced restore to move apps.
You can move your stock data to both the dst & avistralia roms.

They do have use to you because you would find the info you're looking for, if you take the time to read them.
I tried out SlimKat and it seemed ok but i really don't like how little they made the fonts and the screens in it. Some of us older people need bigger. I also had to flash the SU binary update as its not added to it. I tried out the beta 2 edition. After my data resets I plan on trying the DST one that was also suggested. Sometimes not having home internet sucks.
