I found xxufnc1 modem file. If i flash 4.2.2 rom and the modem file, there will be no problem, right?

1) No, it's not possible to downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.2.2. Once you've upgraded your bootloader, theres no going back.
2) No, I don't think EFS ever changes. It is possible to loose/corrupt the EFS information, so it's a good idea to have it backed up
3) Not sure on this, but it's not possible to downgrade to 4.2.2 anyway
4) I've found 4.4.2 to be better than 4.2.2, but it all depends on how your phone is set up and how much you use it anyway i'd imagine. Plus different kernels will give different results.
-Is it possible to downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.2.2?(by using odin)
well there's this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2686882
-Does EFS change at every firmware update?
would think so
-If i downgrade to 4.2.2, does the imei number transform to 0049... ?
IMEI should never change as is hard coded to motherboard, though, once i flashed wrong CSC ROM and it changed IMEI to 0000... and could not detect any network on my country.
-Is the battery performance better at 4.2.2 firmware?
I really believe new updates give better performance, I experienced a great improvement on kitkat
I did it! The firmware version is 4.2.2 now and there is no imei or network problem  check out my second post :good:

Hey all!
Is it possible to downgrade from a newer (NE3) firmware to an older (ND3) through Odin or it will brick my phone because of the bootloader?
The only things I know are that 1) Downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.3 is not possible 2) It's possibile to install a custom older rom on new bootloader and vice versa BUT I don't know if it's possible with stock roms with Odin.
I looked for a solution but nothing found and no one answered me so I opened this thread to find out a solution.
Thanks in advance.
UP still interested because NE4 + custom kernel gives problems that others doesn't have

I never actually tried going back to an older version but I really don't see why you shouldn't. As long as it's KitKat 4.4.2 just try it should work. I downgraded my Modem and haven't had any issue.
With the Bootloader worry...did you even change the bootloader? As well as the Modem you have to do that separate to the Rom, as flashing a Rom doesn't touch Modem an Bootloader!!! If you don't know how to do that please just leave it alone though unless you read, read, read a lot on how to do that.

Thanks for the reply, every time I install a new rom I make sure to update the bootloader and modem too, and from what I can read from the Synapse app I have the NE3 modem and NE4 bootloader.
I'm asking how to go back to older roms because going from 4.4.2 to 4.3 updating the bootloader with Odin you obtain only a fancy paper weight, and I didn't know if going from newer to older 4.4.2 bootloader it was the same story.

I'm pretty sure there won't be an issue mate since I flash between custom roms almost daily which are most of the time different models. If you want to be 100% sure wait for someone to confirm as I'm rooted since I got the chance to do so.
Thanks to the developer Civato I read on his FlexKat thread he correctly downgraded his bootloader from NE6 to ND6 with Odin...
So problem solved, this is definitely possible.
Thank you everyone for your replies :good:
Downgrading bootloaders on the same version generally tends to work OK, mainly because on 4.3 Samsung patched the security flaw which stopped you going <MJ7
Kith Kitkat I never had any issues flipping back and forth.--- Until it's a BL upgrade with OS Number change (IE: 4.4.3 if it has new BL) then it shouldn't work.
hi. sorry, this is probably an old thread but I need some help, please and somehow,Google got me here. I want to downgrade (not really downgrade) my N9005 to 4.4.2.
I currently have a custom ROM(resurrection remix v5.6.9,in settings it says that I have android 6.0.1 marshmallow). Also,I have a custom recovery(TWRP). Well,I would like to install the KitKat stock ROM and really did a lot of research but I cannot find it anywhere :'( . Do you know any source? And also, can I flash it with mobile ODIN? When I opened Mobile Odin Pro it said that if I don't have the boot loader for the ROM I want to install then I will experience a soft brick. Isn't TWRP a good boot loader?
Also, does it matter what version of N9005 I own? mine is: XXUGBOJ1. Could I flash smth that is not for this ..base band is it called?...
pls help
I'm such a newbie and I don't wanna mess up

Take a 4.4.2 package unpack it and remove bootloaders, then repack and test.
You can opposedly to SGY firmwares (s5360) open S4 firmwares with Winrar / 7-Zip.

User who say that are user who don't even care about their country code nor their CSC
If your CSC is XEF then you have to flash a non-knox 4.4.2 XEF ROM, if wifi/IMEI is null it's most likely a MODEM mismatch.
Just reflash the modem by using Odin3's CP section :good:
EDIT :
Or you may just try Mobile Odin Pro, for a buck it downgrades the phone a simple way.

I first rooted and installed SUPERSU on my device with lollipop 5.0.1 to get x mode games. Since xmodgames doesn't support lollipop currently I decided to downgrade my Samsung GT-I9500 from lollipop 5.0.1 to Kit Kat via ODIN after doing a complete wipe via philz_touch_6.12.8-i9500.tar but after the install My mobile had null imei. I was able to successfully root the device and install SUPERSU and Xmodgames also worked fine but without any mobile network due to NULL Imei.
I tried all forums some had software to remove the null state and some had service code etc, but nothing worked and a techie told me that this can now be restored only through some box available only with professionals and asked me a very high fee almost 30% cost of the device.
I finally figured it out and restored my phone back to lollipop 5.0.1 after doing a wipe by PHILZ (without root selected) and my phone was back to its original state.
Hope this helps.

Click on my signature and follow the instructions, just substitute the correct version of KitKat for your device. You find the right KK OS at sammobile the links for everything are in my instructions. The procedure is the same just the KK OS is different. Enjoy !!!

It could impact few bugs show or not, for example i flashed official UK version even if my country is far from there because kit kat was kinda most stable as UK version when i wanted to upgrade from 4.3. As far as lolipop is concerned it should use less ram than KK. You should give a try to some custom rom as you can find it even more stable than the official one. I personaly used X note as a official rom without triping knox. After i tripped knox i cant settle with 1 rom for about a year i think...
Isn't L more efficient?
I honestly thought that Lollipop was supposed to be more efficient.
Why would it be taking more RAM?
On that note, will anyone recommend a better aftermarket ROM with S-pen capabilities in 2015 for 900W8 version at least?

If you mean the restore firmware function in which you enter your serial no then kies/smart switch will restore the latest firmware for the model and carrier the phone is registered with.
There is a varying amount of A3/5/7 owners that have had issues when downgrading back to KitKat from Lollipop so research and then make your choice.

No worries. yeah, if you use the restore function where you enter the serial no then kies will install the original firmware or the correct lollipop firmware for your device.
i think the firmware should work ok on either single sim or dual sim models. do you have full use of the device?

I have an A300FU model and i have downgraded to kitkat without issues but like i mentioned in a previous post that some A3 owners have had issues with bricking their device. It is entirely your choice but wipe data first if you do decide to go ahead. I went back to Lollipop in the end to be honest.

That is what i'm trying to say as all devices are different so could result in a brick or not. I was lucky and did not brick my device but i could if i reverted back to KitKat again. There is always a risk when flashing so the choice is only yours to make.
