Anyone local interested in my S4 on MDL? (NY) - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hey guys, not sure if this is allowed but I want to get rid of my S4 to get a tablet, since I just got the S5. I have a local Craigslist ad but I'd much rather sell it to someone here who wants an S4 that's fully moddable.
Its on MDL firmwire with TWRP and currently running AOKP, in my experience its not easy to come by an AT&T on MDL anymore..
I'm located in the (845)/Hudson Valley area in NY. I won't ship the phone. You can message me if interested, its in mint condition and comes with the original box, charger and a nice case. Phone is black.
I'm looking for a second gen nexus 7 BTW, preferably 32gb. $250 cash gets it.
Thanks,
Branden
PS: If this isn't allowed a mod can just remove it.

you can sell it on swappa for 350 easy

Willing to trade .. Have a brand new G2 that may be going back to T-Mobile

Unlocked Nexus S price now $424! :D

From SD, but figured it would be relevant to XDA'ers:
Have been looking out for deal on Samsung Nexus S with AT&T 3G (Model I9020A) and finally got it today from Amazon (the seller) for $424, no tax.
Here is the link:
Amazon.com: Samsung Nexus S Unlocked Phone - US Warranty - Black
Hope that helps...I think this is a great deal.
Reading the discussion comments that phone might actually be the i19020T
at the very least one of the alternative sellers are giving people i19023 phones instead of the proper one though it sounded like one of the people who ordered directly from amazon got the i19020T anyway.
So...well at least it's amazon so you can return it if you get the wrong phone.
Yup, it sounds like as long as you order it from them as the seller, it is the AT&T version. The other sellers may have different phones.

Going rate for an S4 with Mdl?

I'm finally selling off my s4 with Mdl bootloader but I can't figure out what I want to price it at. There hasn't been a lot of them sold on swappa or eBay so it's hard to compare. Thoughts on what a 32gb mdl s4 should go for these days?

It's worth no more (Possibly less) than a t-mobile S4 which comes with unlocked bootloader and can run on ATT network just fine. That is a much better route anyway IMO

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, T-Mobile didn't have the 32gb model so I couldn't do a direct comparison. I ended up letting it go for $260.

[Q] upgrade questions

I still have a droid Charge and am finally ready to upgrade. I've decided on the S5 based upon user recommendations and reviews. I tried to get one from Best Buy last week for $1 so I could keep my UDP. Best Buy had none to sell me in the black color. Now I'm stuck buying new phone or out right or getting a used one. What's the better option? and how do I protect myself against getting a bad phone? I once bought an ipod real cheep off ebay and had to put a hard drive in it.
Mike
If you go the used route, check swappa. They are by far the safest. Also, a couple days ago ebay was selling some S5s fairly cheap. Make sure the seller is reputable and is willing to give you what you ask (imei, pictures of everything, why they're selling it)

Upgrade from S2 to S5?

EDIT: Damn, meant to post this in the Tmobile S5 section.
Hi,
I'm on an S2 T989 w/ CM rom on tmobile prepaid for close to 4 years now and I'm feeling an upgrade. My criteria are: New phone (or equivalent), $300 max, removable battery, SD card expansion, OLED screen, tmobile prepaid compatible, root and custom ROM available.
This limits my options and it seems the S5 is the best choice. I'm not really willing to compromise on any of those features. I don't mind having an older phone, obviously, it will still be a huge upgrade coming from the S2.
Is the G900T the model I want? I see stuff about locked bootloader. Also the Verizon variant reportedly works with tmobile, but maybe not on all 4G bands, is there any benefit vs the G900T?
I bought this S2 from Walmart for prepaid plan on a sale for $300. Walmart has the S5 available for $350, but I see this phone on ebay "new" at $250 and swappa "mint" at $200. As I've never purchased anything but a retail phone, what should I look out for? The ebay ones all say new but open box (so they can unlock, supposedly). I'm afraid they're just putting in refurbs or something. I saw one seller claim they're overstock contract phones and they guaranteed a clean IMEI, is this a safe route? I'm not sure if it would have manufacturer warranty, either, but saving $100 over walmart is tempting. At least I can do my own repair to an extent, I replaced my S2 screen and other parts over the years.
Can an unlocked contract phone be used with tmobile prepaid? I see no reason why not, but one ebay seller said they don't guarantee prepaid compatibility.
Anyone want to dissuade me from this path?
Thanks for any help. Sorry if I'm not breaking any rules here
