Anybody got ideas why this price drop?($150 less than the international version)
We handle our currency differently than Europe. Our dollars are less than euros so it translates to more money to import it.

He said selling for less not more. we have different hardware and therefore different costs for one. second the phone is well into production now. where did you find the us version for 500? also the t-mobile version has the same chipset as the skyrocket that sells for 330. the us s3 is overpriced and i expect sudden drastic price drops. Its being subsidized for 150 + contract for a reason.

Interesting, im going to continue looking into it. Wonder why theyre using the same model number. Doesnt the t-mobile version clock less? I have the 747 and the 727 skyrocket in front of me. The skyrocket benches 3600 quadrant and 6000 astute. Not sure if these similar scores to the t-mobile variant are due to different resolution. Skyrocket is Qualcomm 1.5 dual core.

if your talking the tmobile gs2 it is the same as skyrocket a snapdragon s3 chip. the tmobile gs3 is a completely. different snapdragon s4 chip. which i get about 5000 on quadrent both chips are clocked at 1.5 but the s4 chip uses a newer technology. which makes it faster and more efficient
The T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T GSIIIs are not using the MSM8260a. They use the MSM8960 Krait chipset. I am unsure of the Sprint because I can't find the specs. I am pretty sure it utilized the MSM8960 as well. The MSM8960 has been shown to keep up with the current Quad-Core processors. Mainly, the Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset. If you do a Vellamo benchmark, you will see that it scores very close to the HTC One XL which uses the same chipset and beats the One X which is Quad. The GSII 4G and Skyrocket both had the MSM8260 Scorpion chipset. S4 stands for nothing more than Series 4.

What is your 3D Mark result?
You can download it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.futuremark.dmandroid.application
I'm a little surprised I get only 2727 while Tegra3 devices get almost 4400 and even one Tegra2 device was higher (overclocked maybe? or mistake... Galaxy Tab 10.1).
Ice Storm Extreme: 2060 (here only new generation devices are higher, so it's quite a good result)
Ice Storm normal: 2727
AW: 3D Mark result

According to reviews........ The app seems to not be working correctly or causing overheating for many users.
I'm a little leary to install the app because of overheating claims.
Has anyone experienced overheating?
Thanks
.
No overheating but same s****y scores....but its just a score. Will try to force gpu rendering and retry.

Don't worry about overheating- the kernel has some excellent thermal-management code in it that first downclocks you to 800MHz (which will kill your benchmark result ), then if that doesn't cool you down, shuts down the Note.
Galaxy Note 10.1 3G 4.2.2 Baked ROM (1.6 GHz)
Ice Storm: 3342

Something is off about the app, my HTC Evo3D with a dual core Qualcomm S3 processor and adreno 220 gets 3500 in the non extreme test and around 2800 in the extreme version

OIC. I have a vzw s3, so adreno ftw.
Same low score here. Can't be right
lol, my HTC One S (snapdragon S4 dual, 1 gig ram) gets scores which are more than double what my Note 10.1 gets. WTF?
Erm, unless y'all are running phones with 1280x800 resolution, there's no point in comparing the scores of those with that of the Note.
I'm really disapointing about the results with that benchmark are. It's maybe because Exynos 4412 is not as powerfull as we thought

Yup. 9500 doesn't have 4G.
9500 is better than 9505 (if 4G is not a factor); Exynos 8 core, wolfson DAC and (some said) better camera sensor.
However, if 4G matters to you, go with the 9505. The difference is not a lot.

1) Different architectures (Krait for the 9505, A15/A7 for the 9500), so the frequency isn't directly convertible to speed. The 9505 is clocked at 1.9GHz, and the 9500 is clocked at 1.6GHz (1.2GHz for the small A7 cores)
2) All Galaxy S4 models have 2GB of RAM.
3) Some telcos call HSPA+ "4G", despite it being more properly called "3.75G". BTW, LTE is also not officially 4G: that would be only for LTE Advanced, with downlink exceeding 1Gbps. If you want the "4G" people are getting excited about now, that would be LTE, supported only by the 9505 among international S4 models.
So the standard one is 1.6ghz? Really was looking forward to 4G, can't find the i9505 on contract though :/ unless anyone knows how to get them? So might end up buying an unlocked i9505

yes is that because the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset is more powerful the the Exynos one or it's only about different architectures?

it doesn't incorporate 1080p @ 60fps too what a shame anyway thanks man
just go into the video settings and enable 'smooth motion' for the video settings in the exynos version, that would enable 60fps recording
It could be as simple as license issue, or as complex as having hardware not capable to handle the compression of such large frame (for example it could be faster graphic chip on Qualcom, since GPU are very good helping coding/decoding video) . Exynos doesnt have LTE either and by now it's at least second time around, Since Exynos used in Note 2 didn't have it as well.
Plus Exynos is Samsung's inhouse tech, so they're still tweaking and messing with different options.
I could see you can buy SM-G906 having Snapdragon 805 inside. I did searching using Bing to find any good benchmarking of the new processor. But alas. So if you got S5 prime for any chance, then please share your benchmark results. It is great also read any impressions about new display. One bad thing it isn't using Wolfson chip, so no good audio
Little more faster, i think no worth.
