It's right there in the list, all you have to do is go to settings-notification bar to rearrange it, or you could just swipe down the notif bar with 2 fingers to bring down all the toggles.

For those who do not understand, i believe that the AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint variants all have the quick data toggle as it must be some way connected to the fast download mode, which all three carriers disabled on their phones. All other variants do not have this issue. Similarily, the AT&T and Verizon variants do not have root access yet.

My bad. T-Mobile doesn't have the data toggle enabled either. If you want the quick toggle for data, then you would need root and use the method I linked above.

Surprised this isn't more of an issue for people. I often turn off data, if I'm down in a concrete basement where I know there is no signal, it's a real battery killer to have 3G/4G searching for a signal. Why Rogers made it so difficult and removed it from the quick panel I can only guess.
I use an app... Watchdog to monitor my data usage and it make a widget to turn on/off data if you want it. SO no pulling menus down, it's right there on screen.
It is right there on my phone.

My data charges depend on the usage and it's very expensive. Sometimes, somehow my data is accidentally turned on. Is there a fool-proof way to ensure that that never happens? Is there an app that ask me to confirm if I am sure that I want to turn on data?
Go on settings
Press "more"
Go on "mobile networks"
And if data enabled is unmarked that means its off

I don't want to always go through those steps to see if it's off.
And, it doesn't really ensures that it never gets turned on.
Is there another way?

Airplane mode... haha that will be sure you wont have data charges!!! lol
I'm guessing you could make a null APN and simply select it, that way your device shouldn't be able to use data until you choose the right APN.
^^ This will definately work.

Quick settings by dragging the top nav bar down.
And just press the mobile data icon if it is on to turn it off.

What about using Tasker or Llama to set up an event to disable mobile data if it is on?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I just flashed CM10.2 (unofficial build) onto my Nexus 4, and was wondering if it is possible to use the stock ROM lockscreen (the one that does NOT support custom targets) as opposed to the AOSP one (that does support the targets).
Is this just a simple apk to drop in /system/app? And if so, does anyone have the apk? Or does it involve modification to framework-res? Thanks in advance.
SOLUTION:
Go to Settings > Lock screen > Slider shortcuts. From there proceed to remove all BUT ONE of the targets (in my case, I left the one stuck on MMS). After you have removed all but one, save the configuration. It will save with all but one target blank (the one you left intact). NOW hit the reset button at the top and then save. After this you will have the stock lockscreen.
Why not just replace the quick shortcuts by "empty"? Then you wont have the shortcuts.

You just have to hit reset. If you just delete the shortcuts you can only unlock to the 5 spots. It's just hard to know this from the UI imo.
https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-1862
I'm guessing they'll try to fix it so if you delete the the four custom shortcuts in future builds it treats it like you hit reset.

This is not true! I tried to reset it and the 5 apps remained there. And the phone apk doesnt even launch on the lockscreen.

Are you on 4.2/CM10.1 or 4.3/CM10.2? Setting the shortcut to "empty" will set it in the settings but once I save and then lock the screen, the next time I unlock, all the targets remain as if I never did anything. And yes, I did hit "save" and the toast notification did appear.

That's actually a very interesting link, I'll definitely check that out on my old Gnex. But hitting the reset button acts the same way as setting targets to empty, it reverts back to what the ROM came with (all targets filled: browser, phone, apollo, MMS).

This is what I'm experiencing. The phone target doesn't launch because 4.3 has a new dialer with T9 dialing built in.
EDIT: Seems like others are reporting this issue as well. I'm aware that it's a very early stage ROM so I'm not reporting it as a bug, but rather trying to remedy the problem myself. Here's the link to a post in the ROM thread where others are reporting this issue:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44484517&postcount=275
EDIT AGAIN: I was able to figure out how to set it up, it's very weird and found out after noticing Thibaultvw's post with one remaining target. Instructions in main post.
Intermittently I keep getting a pop up message showing the following. I am not sure which application is causing this to occur. Is there a way to find out which is the rogue application?

Hello!
This is a bug that Samsung is aware of and is trying to solve. There isn't much to do, other than ignore it or completely reinstall. It pops up every time you turn on wifi and connect to a connection. Hopefully a bug fix will come with the next update.

This happened to me
When the notification comes up, pull down your notification tab, then where the notification appears, tap and hold on the notification (long tap). You will get a pop-up saying 'take me to the app' or similar , tap that and it will show it was Knox Notification. Once you get to the App, force close, and clear data. This will stop it recurring until samsung issue a fix.
hi ,
Here is another take what it could be >
from what i read in my local forums, if you long press on noticfication it takes you to KNOX notifications ( thats giving notice ? )
( further it is a speculated that , most apps use wifi etc warning appears, when you switch wifi on .?)t
presently.. do not have his issue at all ,so cannot confirm above .!
good luck
The popup message is not a bug. Its a security feature built in by KNOX which prevents you from messing around with root.

Really hoping someone finds a way to get rid of that sht.
Deleting 'S Finder', "Quick connect', and 'Quick Connect Interaction Service' leaves the 'S Finder' button doing nothing, though you can still click it, and the 'Quick Connect' button disabled (after a reboot). They're still occupying the same space.
As I posted in this topic's threat in the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 5 area:
This is annoying me as well. I think those not yet able to craft their own ROMs (like me), are gonna need to wait. If you're feeling adventurous, you maybe try installing [ROM][G900F][4.4.2]-AllianceROM-OTA Nightlies (the F and T models are similar I believe) and providing the developers with feedback.
There's also the possibility that [APPS][4.1+] Google Experience Launcher (GEL App + Google Search App) will work, as described by the article How to get the Google Experience Launcher on the Galaxy S5 which I found via this post (go thank him if it works).
would be great if xposed modual came out for this there very annoying

The only way to get this working for me was with GravityBox.
You have to set the time to turn off and on notifications, like at settings menu, but that actually works.
