Context Service stopped working.. - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know what this FC is or what's causing it? It says, "Unfortunately, Context Service has stopped working." When I press ok it just keeps coming up.

Unfortunately, Context Service has stopped working.
Hey, you ever figure this problem out? I'm having the same issue with my S5. It just keeps popping up. Sometimes back to back like 30 times.. It got better, but now it seems like it's getting worse. I'd rather not factory reset my device. I'm rooted on stock 4.4.2. It's been rooted since it came out. So it's been a while. It's been performing perfectly for many months.. But now this is happening. What's the deal?! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I switched it with a context service apk from another rom

[Q] strange force close...

Anybody else have the problem of getting a force close when dialing *2 to call sprint customer care? I get the error "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly blah blah.." Any ideas on causes or fixes?
This really isn't a big issue...I haven't seen any other related issues. But I just can't help but wonder why. I am running Fresh 3.3.
U need to reinstall the app called Sprint Zone which is in the Fresh Removed Apps folder
Awesome answer. I froze Sprint Zone in Titanium Backup Pro and figured my *2 dial and subsequent FC was due to something I froze. Did an Unfreeze of just Sprint Zone, and all better now.

[Q] Unfortunately, bluetooth share has stopped error when connecting to my car.

I have a SGH-i337M S4. I recently flashed Slimkat Stable 7.0 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2561125. I should be using the kernel from the rom as I didn't install another kernel. I connect to my car with only media access fine but as soon as I add in phone access. It instantly gives me the error "Unfortunately, bluetooth share has stopped." It is actually really important for me that I have this on as I do drive a lot and need to be able to answer calls.
I tried installing this rom from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2763102. It still didn't work and occur the same way. Anyone got a fix for this?
I figured out that it stops working after I try to give access to contacts. Still cannot get it to work. Still cannot get it to work.
Similar issue
I was amazed that my Dodge Charger 2k14 was able to read my texts aloud and inform me I had incoming texts. The first day driving like this was blissful. Then I started to download more apps and a few days later when I went back to my car, I constantly get the same error, "unfortunately, bluetooth share has stopped".
I have not added any apps other than google playstore, nor have I rooted my device. Everything is pretty much basic stock stuff. How do I fix this problem? Or should I just wait until lollipop actually comes out for this device and see if that does the trick? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

[Q] Note 3 Google Play Services failing/OTA updates HELP

Okay, so my old phone basically broke after I updated to 4.4.4, my service was absent almost everywhere, my bluetooth went in and out, my phone was slow and froze constantly, and my battery could drain completely in like 30 minutes if I didnt turn everything off and hardly use it, then it would maybe last a few hours. So I got a replacement through Verizon, and lo and behold, it came with 4.4.2. My last post was about me trying desperately to root, but I couldnt because of my 4.4.4 update. So I was thrilled. I transferred all my stuff, and actually managed to use towelroot and it worked.
Then, my phone automatically downloaded the update, and I couldnt figure out how to stop the update popup or notification. Nothing I tried worked, and I downloaded a few apps to try and turn it off. Disabling or etc Google Services Framework does nothing, but somehow, everything else I did managed to make the phone basically unusable. I get two errors: "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped." and the same one but about Google Play Services. I tried to undo what I did but it didnt fix it. I reset my phone to factory settings, and while that stopped the downloaded update from popping up, i cant use it because the popups are there literally every 2 or 3 seconds. I cant navigate through a menu without tapping a hundred times, usually on the wrong buttons. I dont have wifi on, so the ota update hasnt downloaded.
Im going to probably take it to Verizon tomorrow and ask them if I can just get a replacement replacement, but I hate having to do all that, because I might have to wait even longer now. If somebody has any idea how to fix google play services, please tell me. I reenabled them, cleared data and cache, force stopped them, turned them back on, nothing fixes it.
Also, I desperately need to know how to prevent an update from downloading, and how to get rid of it once it is downloaded. Ill have root access, but none of the methods Ive googled have worked, please help me, Im so frustrated with Verizon and Samsung all this bull**** now. Why cant they just let us enjoy our devices?
First off a Verizon store will not give you a new phone unless you are inside of 30 days of a new purchase. Ofirst din 4.4.2 to give it a clean start. Re root phone. Then disable sdm which will stop all ota updates.
No, Verizon will give you a replacement if you have their insurance. I've gotten dozens this way. As long as there isn't any serious physical damage like obvious scratches or cracks, water damage, or anything similar they overnight you a brand new device.
I have two phones in my possession right now, on Monday I'll have a third. I went in and showed them the replacement, they seemed confused, but they always do. They told me to just send back the broken replacement and went ahead and put in for a new one, which Ill get Monday since tomorrow is no post.
So that problem is solved.
Ill try what you suggested when I get my replacement. I've never rooted beyond the towelroot I mentioned before, so this is all new to me. It seems like some methods I've seen only work on certain phones, so thats what Im worried about.
Do you think you could give me more specific instructions, because I have no idea what everything you said meant. Im just tired of googling everything you know? Id appreciate it!
Thank you for the reply!

Samsung S8 Glitch? .. I've got one for ya....

So.. Story begins..
I bought my S8 a few months back.. Worked flawlessly (Stateside).. Then I came overseas and the problems began.. I requested my service to be suspended by Verizon and after doing so my phone began to freak out.. I don't know for sure if this is the cause but having just received my replacement device and experiencing the exact same issue. Could it be possible?
Issue: No matter what I am doing on the phone it will freeze for a split second then appears to refresh.. For example.. If I am typing an email, as I am writing my keyboard locks up and the phone becomes unusable then it jumps to the top of the app and then I can continue .. It is SOOOO frustrating because for example.. SnapChat: While I am writing and the screen freezes and refreshes, I lose everything I wrote.. If I'm scrolling through Facebook .. It jumps back to the top..This became more frequent and even more annoying! Even if I am in the settings menu scrolled all the way to the bottom.. it freezes for a second and then jumps to the top of the app.. So.. I began removing apps I thought could be the cause of the problem.. I cleared the cache on the phone as well as the apps, reset settings, removed/re-added Google accounts, even tried some developer options to scale down the graphics, background processes etc.. No avail.. I finally caved in and contacted Verizon who put me in touch with TechCoach app to remote in a see the issue for themselves.. All the troubleshooting steps they walked me through, I had already done.. So they sent me a replacement.. I set the new phone up, installed the software updates, just a few apps to test and sure enough same issue! Then I wiped the phone again.. didn't install any software updates, I left it bare bones and even set the phone up as new (no restore from Google)... So as I am writing this TechCoach wants to send me yet another replacement device.. But I'm certain the "Certified Like-New" S8 they send me will end up doing the same thing.. What it appears to be to me (No expert here) is that once I came overseas and suspended my line.. There's some service/app that is trying to push/pull over network data and since it's unable to do so it's causing the phone to glitch? I mean I really can't think of any other reason this could be happening .. Furthermore, I tried different Wi-Fi connections, changed performance modes, disabled many "enhanced features" ... Any ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated while I wait for the replacement device.... Thanks XDA!
Update:
Verizon had to reactivate my line before they could send a replacement... So I asked the rep to keep my line active to see if the issue persists.. Would you believe it worked flawless as it did when I first bought it without issues.. So my theory was right!!! Some service running in the background is attempting to refresh without connectivity.. I'm now going through every system app to disable and test ... more to follow!
