I get S4 I337 with broken digitizer and lcd,
phone recognized in:
-Kies3 as I337 MK2 [COM3]
-Odin3 v3.09 in download mode [COM4]
I want to buy new LCD w/Digitizer and Faceplate Frame
But before buy LCD, how to test the phone - is it functional?
what variant is the best?:
1 - buy HDMI adapter, connect TV + Usb keyboard/mouse
2 - Root phone and install droidVNC Server by this Tuto
or something else?

I recently purchased a tv stick from China. The case is identified as mk809iii. But when I got to setup and the "about device" screen, it says the model is mk906 and so is the firmware. Can I safe to assume this is really a mk906? So if I want to update the firmware, I should look for mk906 software?
Another problem I have is I can't install drivers in to my Window 7 pc. I think I am supposed to push the reset button and insert a connected usb cable into the pc and the tv stick will get recognized. I made many trials without success. Are there any other method to install the drivers?
Have top open it up and check out the PCB layout and WiFi chip. I have a RK3066 that was sold as a MK906 but really a MK802iiis b.

Great idea!. I guess it is a mk906 since Netxeon_MK906_V2.0 is printed on the circuit board. How do I go about finding the new firmware?
Hi
I've just had an accident with my Galaxy S4 LTE, which broke it in a major way which completely broke the screen and digitizer as the phone got stuck in a car door slammed shut... really nasty :cyclops:
somehow by some miracle it still works, buttons, speakers, charging and all, just not the screen and I am thinking I will just use it as the most expensive android TV stick there is, with bluetooth keyboard and usb video out but I have one pickle.
right now I have MIUI rom, without USB debugging and broken video out, and I am thinking I need original samsung rom to get the video-out capabilites, but as I do not have a screen on my S4 so I think I would have to make a custom rom with remote desktop and/or usb debugging enabled so I can use my computer to set it up but I don't know how I can do any of that and I'm looking here for pointers and help.
Any suggestions?

Sell it for spares or repair on ebay,, or keep it for spares yourself
If only the screen is broken get micro usb to hdmi 11 pin cable Bluetooth controller and you have multimedia player, game center etc.

Hallo,
i have a old Nexus 7 1nd 2012 and the LCD is broken.
I would like solder a HDMI-Output instand the LCD.
1. Is that generally possible?
2. Where can I find the LCD interface description?
3. Do I need or where can i find a kind of "gateway" / Converter?
Thank you very much

IIRC the n7 2012 has slimPort, no soldering or modding required.

No, only 2013 model has slimport. The 2012 has only simple USB 2 port.

If it doesn't support slimPort or MHL, then I doubt that you can connect an hdmi cable to the LCD port, as the LCD uses a very specialized input and no adapter will make it work with hdmi. Have you checked out software screen mirroring solutions thru USB or network?

Yes, I tried Mirror beta from Clockwork Mod. Sometimes it was working but I had some lags. Now the app is called Screen Recording and Mirror but I don't use it anymore. May be the thread opener want's to try it. But with broken screen it will requiere keyboard or mouse on the N7 and a second device as receiver to use it.

I was thinking about solutions working over adb or some other usb interface, all the network ones I've tried are like mirror and have huge lag.
@all Thx
1. The Nexus 7 1nd 2012 has a 2.0 OTG-USB
2. Screen mirroring over USB should only work with a Hardware USB-Port: MHL or Slimport --> Maybe it exist a USB 2.0 Converter to HDMI/Nexus 7 without Charging-Function, but this is not known for me.
3. Network mirroring is lagging.
4. adb = im asking google. I will report ...
--> What im searching for, in a kind of this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/M-NT68676-2...ontroller-Board-Diy-Monitor-Kit-/110977522562
But i dont now, if the LCD interface description/pinout/communication are the same.
==> The seller answered that: The Nexus 7 LCD is not supported
I found out, that screen mirror ober ADB is very lagging and the second disadvantage is that i need always a PC (https://youtu.be/DTPR_wOXNcA).
I want to transforme the Nexus 7 to a Android PC ..
I found the Nexus 7 block-diagram

Hey all
Got a Edge with a broken screen and a stack of pics in the secure folder.
Any way of getting these pics back without spending the cost of 150£ for a new screen?
Not bothered about the phone
Cheers

get a $20 MHL adapter, output video to a tv via hdmi and hope your digitizer still works. If the digitizer is broken also, you can connect a usb keyboard to the mhl adapter to control the phone
you can give this a whirl too
