[Q]Toast notification:Samsung and KitKat style? - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anybody knows when and why appear two types of toast notifications on Galaxy S5?
Sometimes it appears with Samsung style (green-blue) and sometimes with KitKat style (text white over black rounded rectangle).
It's something not important, but I'm very curious.

[Q] Nexus White/Light Theme with White On-screen Buttons?

Hey there,
I never really liked the dark theme that the nexus devices seem to have (black EVERYTHING). Is there any ROM that would give a light/white-colored theme? For example, instead of having the black bar for the on-screen buttons at the bottom, have it be white. Same with the status bar. The notification tray would have a white background and the system settings would have a white background. Etc.
who knows, we might even have that
just wait for the phone to come out and development to start

[Q] Semi-Transparent Status bar

Hello
I have updated the Galaxy S4 to the new firmware.
I can't find the semi-transparent status bar ... is this an option?
Where do I activate it?
Thanks
m
The transparent bar is just for the home screen, with a little fade to black effect nearing the upper edge. A small plus in looks imo but nothing phenomenal.

Notification bar overlapping apps [PA]

I just installed the latest Paranoid android on my Galaxy s4 i9505 and when I changed the hybrid options, the notification bar slightly overlaps everything. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Ok so the problem is, when I choose the Phone UI there's a little bar between the apps and the notificationbar. And if I choose auto or phablet or tablet UI the notification bar is overlapped and covers the top of everything.

Lockscreen and notification customization? Root/xposed

Hi everyone, I've recently rooted my galaxy s7e and was looking for some lockscreen and notification shade customisation.
I remember seeing something a while ago but can't find it again anymore.
On the lockscreen I'd just like to remove the alarm icon and change the time to written text (like ten fifty). I know goodlock can do this but I'd lose the status bar modding chance.
On the notification shade I'd love a darker color if possible. I noticed that themes like zero dark make it darker but that doesn't apply to single notifications which stay white
Thanks to who'll help me
There are several custom roms that will do this for you, try bobcat or Phoenix

Make AOD notification icons black and white instead of color and low-constrast ?

Hello everyone,
It seems that Samsung has really botched the AOD implementation lately for those that really need it for notifications. Specifically they introduced color icons, which have a very low contrast and cannot be seen.
Is there any way to make those icons black and white (or at least - black and grey) ? I even used their ClockFace app (or plugin - whatever it is) but while I can change the clock styles (useless feature anyway) I can't seem to be able change the notification icon colors. Or maybe I am missing a hidden setting ?
I hate the lack of a notification LED. But at least I need large, black and white AOD notification icons.
Thanks for any advice on this !
Good question
