[Q] Best Rom/Kernel Combination?

Any suggestions to the best combination of rom and kernel?
My signature and default samsung kernel
Nice
I've always wanted to try that one, but im stuck with Foxhound 1.2 because of the theme, i really like the dark theme, makes it look more premium
I'll be waiting for D3NnNy to upload the theme only so that I can try other ROMs.

Use Stock ROM, Root with Recovery and flash Dr. Ketan MultiMod Tool v3 and live in peace.. I find it the best one than his own Custom ROM or any other custom ROM.
And first 3 things mentioned by you can also be achieved using Wanam Exposed too.

IMO, CloudyFlex 2.2 is unstable, I changed to [ROM+KERNEL][D802][STOCK]bruce2728-d80220d[stable][fast][no bloat] and I'm liking it better. The only thing I miss is the Black background.

You can overclock your phone, flashing an overclocked kernel
Your phone is smoother when it has less processes active in background and when you have more free ram.
If you have root you can use greenify and hibernate easily a lot of apps:good:

If you mean you want to stay close to stock Roms, there are mod20c and CleanRom. There are debloated, rooted, fine tuned stock roms. mod20c has default launcher but no stock browser. Quite the opposite, CleanRom has stock browser but no stock lg launcher

The best (my opinion+expirience) is to flash a 4.4+ rom for sure with overclocking kernel, with deactivated zram and fly on mod tweak.
