Step -1
First of all unbox your new note battery. Now see the black strip below the battery , you have to remove it .Its easy ,because its sticked by a glu in bottom . See in pic how i removed it partially -
After the Removel of that black strip ,it will look like that -
You can put a cello tape over it for protection.
Step-2
Its a pic of comparision of xolo q700 bettery with Note battery after removel of bottom black strip . As you can see Note battery still few millimeters larger and less in breadth than xolo battery. So its damn tight on fitting but it will fit for sure.
After doing it, You can try to put your Note battery in your Q700/Q700i. but if you are facing problem in placing connectors slots rightly to your q700 battery connecting pins. Its because of the corners of Note battery ,which's dimension is not at per as q700 battery compartment. Then you have to Crush little bit the left corner of battery and remove little bit piece of plastic ,like shown in Pic -
After it place your battery again and place its pins slot rightly and try to boot up. During the placement you can clearly see its damn Tight .after putting in Q700, its too hard to pull it back . Remember if you forcefully pulled battery out then your Q700 battery connector pins get bends and loosed up like happened with me .So place a little bit of piece of thin Paper in the bottom of the battery during fitting so ,you can pull your battery by pulling that piece of paper. As Q700 is less in breadth as compared to xolo battery so there is ,little bit of space left , nut its tight so dont worry about it. See in pic-
Precautions-
(1) Always Take care during the frequent removal or insertion of note battery as harshly pulling and putting battery can harm your Q700 battery connecting pins as battery is tightly fitted in your Device.
(2) Avoid too much frequent removal of battery.

Hi,
you can check in gsm arena, a user has posted that it fits fine and he has also said that the images are in xolo the next level fb page. I tried finding it but with no result.

Is the Note 1 battery compatible with Xolo Q700/Q700i?
http://www.ebay.in/itm/original-Battery-Samsung-Galaxy-NOTE-EB615268VU-N7000-Battery-/110981970369

it seems not safe to cut plastic of battery......also pins may damage? and how is the performance? please suggest a battery which can fitted without any modification as my q700 battery got swollen...

Hi Mr. SD Shukla,
First of all thank you for finding out some solution for xolo q700 battery, otherwise the phone would be of no use. However, I understand that the model number of battery "EB595675LUCINU" given is incorrect as this battery is showing 3100mah power specifications whereas you are referring 2500 mah battery. Request you to please try avoiding the said confusion and also provide alternative solution (the battery gets fitted without any modification) if any and whether using the said samsung battery will cause any problem to xolo q700?

EB615268VU samsung galaxy note n7000
guys found out at gsmarena xolo q 700 review EB615268VU note n7000 battery is compatible without customization.
has any one tried this.

[Q] So it seems that the HTC extended battery is not supported by any android build

I have used darkstone froyo, mattc Leo + Froyo w/Sense RC1.4 and a few of the earlier android builds. I dont have any issues using them with my stock battery(mattc's 1.4 with sense ran solid) but when I installed my HTC extended battery(2300mah) android would boot to the lock screen, show the loading SD card icon then vibrate and power off. This happened with both darkstone's and mattc's latests builds, reformat and fresh install and still the same issue. Is it possible to support the extended battery? What do you guys think the issue could be?
By the way, the battery works without any issues in WM(ChuckyROM GTX)

yes, extended battery 2350 not supported now.

support is rather complex however...
I have an extended battery but its the cheap one from eBay and my android boots fine I also have the genuine extended battery and can confirm this does not boot it reads to high a temp and closes down

This is good to know. I almost bought one yesterday in order to get longer life while running Android. Glad I didn't now. Thanks for the heads up.
I've been using my extended life battery (2400mah, not HTC-brand, just HTC compatible) without problem. Is there a software/chip angle to the HTC brand battery that I don't know about (kind of like with the PSP)?
BTW, the HTC-compatible external I got lasts longer than my friend's HTC batt and cost less. Just not with as shiny/pretty a cover as the HTC one.
Well today I received my genuine HTC Extended battery and was very surprised and dissapointed when I noticed that suddenly Android didn't work anymore. A quick search led me to this thread. Since the problem seems to be temperature related I decided to isolate the thermic sensor terminal on the battery with a piece of tape... and guess what... I can now load Android with the extended battery inserted!! Have a look at the picture...

A little bit of warning though... when charging the battery in the phone it will now be without temp monitoring so please don't charge it unattended.
Other than that I think this can be considered a temporary solution until the devs have figured out how to boot Android with these fine batteries.

I think the green and red blinking means that it's charging slower than normal (which is actually better for the battery). In any case it seems like it's charging normally when in Android.
Brgds... /Tubgirl
even though the charging icon is on... i confirmed its not charging. Nice attempt though!
Yes you're right. I also noticed that it isn't charging at all. Too bad... lets hope there will be a way in the future to use the extended battery with Android without having to put tape on and off all the time to be able to charge
Another thing I noticed yesterday when trying to boot Android with the extended battery was that I never got the WSOD while trying... I always reached the Android lock screen before it shut down and never got the WSOD (White Screen Of Death). Then when I put on a piece of tape the first thing I got was a WSOD. It took me a couple of tries before I managed to boot Android correctly with the extended (taped) battery.
This leads me to believe that maybe the WSOD is related to the battery temp reading somehow... what do you think? How to report this to the devs? Will they read this?
Brgds... /Tubgirl
Hehe... instead of tape i put a thin piece of plastic strip between the affected pin and battery terminal. After a couple of minutes inside Android I pulled the plastic strip away. I was hoping that maybe the battery temp was only checked during startup but unfortunately after a couple of seconds the phone vibrated and shut off itself. Well well... it was worth a try.
Brgds... /Tubgirl
Here I thought I had gone crazy... Had flashed ROM's, Radio's etc and was thinking my device was some how "special."
It is a shame too, as I think the extended battery would get us through a day of Android use. Maybe the devs need us to get some numbers or readings from our batteries?

3 Step Battery Method

What prompted me to write this 3 Step guide?
Well having read about the threds for Samsung Galaxy S2 it became evident that many users are becomming obsessed by battery life!! Fine tuning this setting bumpin it up a notch, turning it down a tad, installing this that and the other. Uninstalling this that and the other. Would not suprise me to find that pointing your Galaxy S2 24.6 degrees east whilst humming brittney spears hit me baby one more time three times a day IMPROVES BATTERY BY 4.8% especially when its a full moon.
Good luck to all the battery worshippers out there!!! Whatever method you employ, to each their own!!! Plus you no doubt get hours of pleasure from your never ending quest. Who knows one day we may come on XDA and find the following:
I tweaked my settings and last re-charged my battery 6 weeks back been making 2hrs of calls each day, had games running for at least 3 hours and searched the internet as required still on 67% battery!!!
P.S Just fed up of humming hit me baby one more time!!!!!
Advantages of my 3 Step Battery Method?
1. Once the method is maintained no messing about changing settings on your Galaxy S2.
2. No swapping this changing that or constant monitoring
3. With moderate phone use, your phone will remain charged perpetually!
4. Will not harm your phone
5. No humming hit me baby one more time
6. More time to enjoy your amazing Galaxy S2
The 3 Step Battery Method (NOOB FRIENDLY GUIDE)
Step 1. Last thing at night find that thing on your wall! whats it called emm emmmm emmmmmmm Thats it a plug socket. Plug your Galaxy S2 charger into the plug socket then (this is important) switch the socket on!!! then plug the other end into your phone. Then go to sleep.
Step 2. When you wake up unplug the Galaxy S2 and charger.
Step 3. Repete step 1.
Hope you all enjoyed this guide and found it usefull!! If you did hit the thanks button and keep smiling!!!!
Enjoy your Galaxy S2 Tiz Cool 4 Katz
WOW Suprisingly simple method, I always wanted to know that thing was, I think you called it a "charger" (I may have pronounced that wrong).
I will try out this method and post back with my in depth findings. (or not)
P.S Nice one.
I've also found that you can MASSIVELY extend battery life by leaving the phone turned off, although there seems to be a bug with the firmware as it won't receive calls in this state.
Cool pronouncing

After painstakingly racking my brains over the "turning phone off" method not recieving calls i have finally designed a hard mod to rectify this.
I have destroyed 8 phones, drew blood from my fingers and been divorced due to the hours i have spent on this project....so donations will be gratefully accepted.
Step 1: purchase an original nokia from ebay or if you have one lying around even better.
Step 2: now this gets complecated, you may want to get an adult to help you with thia if you dont feel confident......turn off galaxy 2, peel off the back of the galaxy 2, remove battery (do NOT put battery in mouth) then remove sim card.
Step 3: insert sim card in old nokia (check instructions for phone or take to a phone repair shop if you dont feel you can do this yourself).
Now for the amazing part, turn the nokia on, use your house phone to ring your number. If you have done this correctly, you will notice you are recieving calls even though your samsung is "turned off"
Hope this helps

Nexus 4 Battery Life

Hey there..
I'm thinking of getting this phone, but in every review, they say the battery life is pretty crappy... can somone please share their experiences or stats on this please?
Thanks!
Nobody has one yet....
FFS
even if it is horrible. These press units aren't being used "normally" or lightly. They are constantly being hammered to get every last thing about it to talk about.
We have kernels and roms to go on. My Galaxy Nexus last 35 hours on a single charge on a stock battery. While some people struggle to get even 10 hours on it.
Wait for the gsm arena battery test results and then compare the hours to other phones to see how it performes

Exactly. my guess is also that it's because of the phone not being in the final software. Otherwise how could the same battery prove that worse compared to ICS lg Optimus? Jelly bean had a much better battery life in general too...
And IMO that is also the reason for the poor performance
Let's hope everything will be alright after the software update

LG Nexus 4 Battery Easily Replaced

The trend toward devices with internal batteries, ones that can’t be replaced, has come at the dismay of many power users who often need to switch to a fresh battery in the middle of the day. The Nexus 4 has a “non-removable” battery like most people expected, but it looks like it might be a lot easier to access than many might assume. You’re probably not going to make a battery swap in the middle of the day, but if you run into an issue with the battery, at least you know it won’t be impossible to replace.
Defective batteries and burn-out are a real concern with modern mobile device batteries, and while it may be fairly rare for something to go wrong, anyone with a smartphone who’s not willing to disassemble the entire device can tell you how frustrating it is to lose a phone to a bad battery. On November 2, a follower of Brian Klug, Senior Editor for Anandtech.com, sent him a tweet about battery replacement for the Nexus 4 on Twitter. Mr. Klug responded:
@aatifsumar there are two torx screws, then some plastic clips, it’s easy
Aatif pushed for a little more information and Mr. Klug responded with a great photo of the battery situation:
@aatifsumar two screws, boomhttp://twitpic.com/b9pbsj
The 2100mAh battery should be fairly capable of handling a day of moderate use, but for the fear of battery failure this is great news. Mr. Krug came through with another photo a little later giving a bigger picture of the situation.

Doesn't really solve anything anyone is talking about here. Being able to replace defective batteries is a separate issue from the phone's poor battery life.

I take all these battery complaints with a grain of salt. First, software was not final. I find it hard to believe it is going to be THAT much different than Optimus G.
Something else -- I had a friend who got a US GS III and had terrible battery life despite doing everything. Exchanged for a new one and battery life was double the first one. Do you think any of these "get it out first" reviewers considered this as a possibility? Heck, most of them didn't even mention that Google told them the OS code was not final.
It is worth noting that LG has had battery issues in the past. Was one of the reasons I didn't get an LG last year.
I'm finding the battery life to be pretty good. Over 36 hours and still going for light use. By light use, I mean I played a couple of videos, made a couple of calls, general internet surfing, lots of drop box syncing and more. Mostly all over Wifi. Also some wifi tethering for an hour or so. I also find that the battery charges quicker than normal too. Hope this helps

[Galaxy K Zoom] Extended Battery

Hello Folks!!!!
I have ordered this item....i'm waiting for its arrival!!!!!!
http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6195359693.html
in the meanwhile, i found this second battery:
http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Lowest-Price-of-Samsung-Galaxy-K_1976591285.html
and finally, the king of battery manufacturers:
http://mugen.co/mugen-power-4400mah...-samsung-galaxy-k-zoom-with-battery-door.html
when available, i'll order the mugen battery!
I've tested the "2850mAh High Capacity Battery" in the first link.
my suggestion is: DO NOT buy this battery.
this battery will charge faster than the original one but will drain very fast...faster than original!
in about six hours i used 30-40% of the extended battery power....whereas i spent about 20% using original battery.
the quality did not satisfy me.
now i'm testing mugen 4400 battery...results in a few days!
cheers!

Thanks for your advice. Very interested in the results of the experiment... the original one last for little few hours.
Some questions:
In Mugen page i cant see the weight of the 4000mAh battery. How much does it weights?
With the "new" cover, it seems that tje flash is a bit "covered". Does it flash correctly?
Thanks again!

followed by a small comparison between original and extended battery
and original and extended case!
The smartphone, with this extended battery, becomes almost flat but there is a small security space (there are two studs) that separe the table from the camera, when you put your phone horizontally! the glass of the camera will not touch the table surface.
studs
security space
shortly i'll post the weight of the product!
i can confirm it can flash correctly!
as a last step (and detached post), i will show some photos of the 2850mah Aliexpress battery i bought....currently i'm disappointed with this.
Can u use case
Hi, HAVE U USED ANY CASE ESP AUTO POP CASE WITH MUGEN 4400 BATTERY

Hi!
i can add some words about 4400 Mugen battery life.
i'll add some screenshot of my KZoom. i made two kind of test: medium use (so a type of normal-medium stress) and heavy use (hard stress for smartphone).
MEDIUM USE
in the medium test i use my telephone like this:
in backgroung Whatsapp, Telegram, Viber, Skype, Cerberus
gps always active
wifi always active
data always active
2 or 3 photos
a few minutes of internet browsing
a few minutes of calls (audio calls, not video calls)
a few minutes of Google Maps
HEAVY USE
in the heavy test i use my telephone like this:
in backgroung Whatsapp, Telegram, Viber, Skype, Cerberus
gps always active
wifi always active
data always active
10-15 photos
about 15-20 minutes of internet browsing
about 20-30 minutes of calls (audio calls, not video calls)
a few minutes (maybe 5 minutes) of Google Maps
some update made by Google play or Samsung market on wifi
Today i made a further test: using smartphone as a camera.
in this use:
in backgroung Whatsapp, Telegram, Viber, Skype, Cerberus
gps always active
wifi always active
data always active
about 40 photos (made in about 4 hours); these are the results!
these are two photos, like an example:
Hi, Livio, Thanks for ur review,
Is the MUGEN COVER RUGGED/STRONG?
Which case do u use with MUGEN battery.
Does auto pop case fit?
Did u try to fit it with no back cover?

Hi!
i tested these covers!
i bought them when i was on "stock" battery. None of them will fit the Mugen battery, even if strong forced.
No way, even with no Mugen cover!
i can add that according to my opinion, using a case with this battery will make the smartphone too much wide and large.
Thanks

The mugen is interesting, its weight will probably mean as heavy as with autopop but was it not possible to find an original spare battery to use ?
or do you find battery life of original just too short to live with.

I can only share the same experience - these batteries does NOT perform up to specified mAh !! at best it is slightly under the stoch batt !!
-ALSO-
NFC does not work with 2850mAh batteries !?!?? I don't know why ??

Livio, fantastico review.
I have the official Samsung spare battery and portable charger.
I got almost the same capacity, but I still must carry them on a pocket, bag, etc.
The Mugen is a good option to increase the battery capacity in a single package.

Battery life

Can anyone explain to me why Samsung are concerned more over the charging part of the phone than the battery itself?
It's all good and well to be able to charge the phone super quick, but if I'm just going to be stuck to a cord/wireless charger all the time I may as well just use my laptop - the whole point of a battery is to get away from the plug, isn't it?
3000 mAh for a 5.7 QHD display also sounds pretty weak to me
I've never had a Samsung phone before, but Samsung Pay with its use-virtually-anywhere system sounds really interesting, but I really don't want a weak battery coming from a Nexus 4
Thoughts?
The smaller the battery the faster it is full. Strange Samsung logic but only one of the strangenesses they presented today. Charging times didn't even matter that much at times when Samsung offered replacable batteries. No charging can be that fast as to open the cover, switch batteries and restart the phone. Fast charging mainly only cures a problem that is selfmade.
Since there has been little in the fundamental way that a battery works, having it charge faster is one way to make the phone a better product.
I have an S6 edge, and I have amazing battery life compared to my old Nexus 4, which came out in late 2012.
Now if we can just convince Samsung that an SD Card is necessary.... I wonder who convinced them that it wasn't... sure as hell wasn't me !
---------- Post added at 01:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:30 PM ----------
I must agree. I believe that having a replaceable battery is better as well.
There was a reason that I left apple and that was in part due to the battery replacement and lack of external SD Card.
I honestly think that in some regards, Samsung has forgotten what got them their customers... and that was that they were NOT like apple products.
I know a lot more is going to streaming (Netflix, Spotify etc), but if you're going to be recording 4k with their "best ever camera ever yet they've released ever", you're going to be filling the max capacity of 64GB pretty quickly too
I was considering trying out the whole no removable battery thing since I don't mind using a large battery case of some sort (love my zerolemon 9300mah battery in my note 2) but no SD slot? What are they thinking?
I don't care if it's faster to have internal memory.
Fine then give me fast internal memory but don't take away my option to use an SD card for my random vacation pictures from 4 years ago!
I'm not sticking those on my internal memory and a big HECK NO!! to the freaking useless cloud!
I'm all for External micro SD cards, but given the design of the S6 Edge and Edge plus where would they put it? Making the back of the phone glass made it virtually impossible. With the curved display the metal edge that separates the front and back glass is too narrow, and it wouldn't be practical to make the back removable. Just my 2 pennies.
How about somewhere on the bottom. If there's a hole for the charger /usb couldn't there be a little slot for the SD too? Like on the side of my note pro 12.2

If they can fit a SIM card, they can fit a MicroSD card. Just make a slot on the side or top.
I reserve judgement to when I can actually see a review.
Well Samsung "Cares" very much about its loyal Note users whom they have listen to very attentively (according to the first 5 min of Unpacked event) and then decided that the Note fans don't know anything.
So you like SD card, can't have it!
You want bigger battery, here is a smaller one;
but then you can't swap the battery out for quick power refill, don't worry here are some over the top expensive fast charging accessory for that!
And by the way after listening to our loyal fans we have decided they don't exist in UK or in EU!

Yeah Samsung doesn't seem to care about what their customers want. It's becoming a trend in the smartphone industry. HTC did the same thing regarding the M9+. It's like why should we make what the customers want. We'll decide what they want. Stupid customers. Lol.
I Truly Enjoy XDA-Developers. Com with this Fabulous HTC One M9
I step out of the house with a spare battery in my back pocket or backpack, without the worry to stick my phone to a cable or a charger. I swap out my batteries every day, and it has been working perfectly fine with my Note 3, but with the new non-replaceable batteries, its big downgrade for me.
I'll have to go about hunting battery charger ports when i am out. A microsd card is not a big deal for me, i can delete unwanted stuff, but cannot deal with battery chargers.
The battery on the note 5 is actually better than the note 4's... The one on the s6 edge+ should be similar, so stop wining

The battery life on the note 5 and edge+ will suck period... Both phones run the same internals as the s6 which battery life in the s6 is not great. I get on average 4hrs sot in my s6 edge which is rooted, running custom Rom, debloated like crazy, and I always have four bars of lte in Verizon.

Ok you can't consider any rom for the s6 on verizon "custom" since their bootloader are locked and all. All they are is de-bloated roms. I was getting anywhere from 4.5 to 5.5 on screen time with a debated rom and that was with the regular s6 on verizon and that was also with 5.0.2.
I'm using a note 4 now and my SOT isn't much different using stock 5.0.1not rooted so I'm agreeing with previous user that battery life probably won't much different.
