htc m7 mic distortion - One (M7) General

Hello, i think i have a m7 with the new mics, with no free distortion, example in metal concerts,i try a lot of things, i discover that with the application cinema fv-5 and only with a pair of headphones, i set the audio recording to external mic, using the headphones as microphone, or maybe with only the jack connection, the distortion goes out compared with internal mics of the phone, in a high loud enviroment, i use viperone 5.8 and elemental x 14.1, I leave this to the public knowledge, regards \m/,

Adjustable Mic gain?

Myself and a few others are in need of a way to adjust the Mic to speakerphone level while a headphone jack is plugged in.
I have my N1 plugged into my car stereo and the sound quality is great for navigation and phone calls but people cant hear me.
Engaging the speakerphone button boosts the Mic gain but switches audio output from headphones to the tiny rear speaker on the phone.
Is there a solution I have missed? Thanks.

Nexus 4 3.5MM microphone for concert recording etc..

Hey, I'm looking for a mic capable of recording a concert without distorting, I don't mind if its on a headset or mic only, please give me ideas!!
I'd love something like a semi pro mic you attach to the headphone mic jack. The two mics on the phone make recording loud music a problem.

Phone mic is taking priority over inline headphone mic

Is this a known issue? I am on AOKP rom but have noticed this issue on AOSP, as well. Can anyone who has a stock or stockish rom verify that your headphone mic is working correctly?
I have had 2 calls one on each rom where i used my headphones and the person said they could barely hear me. If i bring the phone near my mouth the user indicates i sound great. When i place the phone away from me they have a hard time hearing me.
Is anyone else having an issue with this? I cannot use mics built into any headphone i use. Tried this on CM. Went to Malladus. Even does it when you go into record. No sound when speaking into headphone mic but when speaking into phone mic, meter moves.

Looks like certain headphones at the current time do not work with this phone. I used Brainwavz m5 and pro alpha's. The mic on the earpiece does not work. I then tried a pair of phonak pfe122s with inline remote. The mic on that worked.
The inline mic on my beats earbuds and my skullcandy aviators both take precendence over the phone mic, I'm completely stock VS980.

Adjusting mic gain in camcorder mode

Just curious if anyone knows of a mod to adjust the mic gain when recording videos. It's just way too high /loud and distorts easily.
Failing that, if there was a decent camera app that could work with an external mic plugged into the headphone jack (I have an iRig Mic Cast), I'd love that as well.
Very good idea with this iRig Mic Cast or any else external microphone and works very well with SnapCameraHDR and LGcameraPro I tried headphone's mic
Pinout for G2 is like in pic.

Impedance adapter against headphone hissing?

Hello everyone, does anyone have experience with these impedance adapters? Do they successfully remove the hissing sound on the headphone jack?
Ifi Audio - IEMatch
Ifi Audio - Ear Buddy
Ultimate Ears - Buffer Jack
DUNU Impedance Adapters
Background: Headphones with higher impedance seem to experience less or no hissing (above 45-60 ohms). If you do not want to buy a new pair of headphones, in principle you can purchase an adapter that increases the impedance. Before I do so (they cost from $5-50 depending on the model), I wonder if anyone has had positive experience with this.
Hello,
I have the Creative EP630 in ear headphones. The hissing sound using the plain headphones is really unbearable (even clearly hearable on normal volume).
Thats why I bought the EarBuddy adapter. With the adapter the hissing is almost completely gone. I can still hear it very little when there is absolute silence, but it is definitalety at a lower or equal level compared to other smarthphones (and not anoying). The rest of the sound doesn't seem to be affected, except that it is at a lower volume (however I'm not an audiophile).
I would also recommend using to use the MI Sound Enhancer (Settings >> Sound >> Headphones & Audio Effects). For me the "General In-Ear" profile improves the sound a little bit more.
