Hey guys,
I am testing the CM11 on my note 3 and in general its ok, but sometimes i expiriance some issues as this one for example and wanted to ask if there is a fix to it?
Basicaly the problem happens maybe once a day, but when i use the kaypad it starts to bug and you can bearly use the phone utill (in a min ir so) it crashes and eather you have to ress it or it restarts on its own as is unusable. Everything shakes and goes in to black screen.
Any ideas or solutions?
Thanks in advance

Cm11 is in beta terrible choice if you don't expect bugs. I'd report it to CM.

How often is it rebooting?
Does it boot at all?
Can you reach desktop?
If not, have you flashed previously your rom?
Please supply more details.

Some times once in a day, and sometimes more than a week, basically it is rebooting when I am playing games for more than 10 minutes.
As a phone it is working fine. I am still not rooted.
Build version : FROYO.DDJP6
Firmware Version : 2.2
FYI - One more thing, I bought this mobile just 20 days back. Anyway thank you for quick reply.
Twenty days i would return under warranty for a fix ..

Exchange it, if you have not done any changes to rom, as this firmware has no such bug, probably its a hardware issue.
Is your cell get heat up while playing?

yes, sometimes it heats gets heat while playing.. I am going to shop now, to replace it.
This seems to be some sort of ROM bug. Just reflash to Gingerbread, and be fine.
You can use my howto for that, for example:

I found the issue with Advanced Task Killer. I am using Android Booster. Now it is working fine.
This has happened to me twice in 4 weeks on jvk. Talking on phone then it quickly boots up. Faster than a normal off then power on though.
Also.
Maybe why the screen goes to sleep during a call...
If you set screen off to say 10 mins, when on a call the screen stays active for duration of call except when held to ear, then screen off sensor kicks in and its working normal. Seems screen off setting also switches off phone screen at set time instead of staying active.

flash zach's antlion kernel or tk4-glitch kernel. the 'twoface' kernel might be the problem
Mine also rebooted, but it was on 2.1. The problem was that there was a bug in samsung's code. When I tdisabled the power saving mode under Settings > Display. The phone stopped rebooting.
I have 2.2.1 now and power saving mode is enabled without any problems.
This is really annoying as I have to turn volume up every time after it automatically goes to silent mode.
Does anybody else have the same problem? or any idea for solutions?
My phone is rooted, using stock rom android version 4.2.2 and stock kernel.
Thanks for reading.
Having the same issue
Didn't have this problem before.. It started happening after i installed some applications..
But i don't know which application is causing this.. If we can find out a way by which we
can find the common ones it would be easier.. Are you using any dialer application like dialer ex or fake caller application.. Or it might be true caller. If you have any of these please let me know..
If you can't fix it ... Try doing a factory reset but don't forget to back up your data :S
Best of luck

Mine also continually freezes
the reboots after about 5 secs. This is a hardware fault not software as I have tried many full wipes & different roms

If you have done a factory reset, wipe cache etc then it must be hardware so, yes you will have to send it back. Unfortunately I can't send mine back because it has been rooted & there is no way to reset the binary counter at the moment on mu I9500
Hello!
I have a galaxy S4 with PAC ROM and I have a problem with it going into a bootloop after a call. What happens is after the other person hangs up, my phone goes to the "game over, insert coin" screen and the animation doesn't stop until I take out the battery. After that I can turn the phone on and it will work just fine but after a call the problem starts again. I haven't tried doing anything to fix it because I have no idea what to do. Can anyone help me?
Looks like your device is going into a soft reboot. Can you grab a logcat of it happening?
sorry!
I'm so sorry I took so long! I'm having problems uploading so here's the link.

Hello,I have the same lag?
Anyone else have noticed this?
Yes, I've got the same problem. It took so long the other day that I missed the call completely.

anyone have an solution?
First thing I would do is a hard reset - A pain I know, but doing so you can check whether it is potentially a Hardware issue with multitouch/touch etc.
Once you've done that, if it's still exhibiting the same behaviour check your screen behaviour on touch reactions on normal day-to-day use. There may actually be an app for it. (the Note 3 suffered some touch problems, not saying the S5 has them but have to check to be sure) .
If it is deemed a software glitch and a reset fixes it then you should be OK. - However if it's a touch screen bug I'd suggest returning/swapping it.
I'm more inclined to believe it's a software glitch, and a factory reset will indeed solve the problem.
Oke,thanks
Same issue! Did a factory reset but didn't help. Send it to local service center, they keep telling me there is no issue with the phone and that when it happens I should record a video as evidence of the problem. So much so Samsung warranty! Plus I have encountered ransom reboots when answering the phone.
Totally unhappy with S5. It is terrible. S4 and S3 were very stable.

i did noticed that too..
on mine if you put directly your finger in the circle and drag it works 1st try..
i still didnt have time to hard reset to be sure..
I noticed this too. I find that you have to hold your finger on the green answer and slide slowly. It's definitely a software problem that will hopefully be fixed in an update.
Factory reset makes no difference as done this for another problem I was having.

Don't suppose anyone has found a solution to this yet? Or any alternatives to the stock dialer that might perform better?
I also get a lag between selecting a text field and the keyboard popping up which is very frustrating. Had expected more from a brand new phone
I had this problem at first as well, but after the latest update it fortunately disappeared, I did a full wipe as well.
Same problem here! Partially solved with enabling home button to accept calls....
Same here....its a pain in the ass ?

I disabled the lockscreen animation and that helped making the device more snappy. Here are some more usefull tips http://phandroid.com/2014/04/25/samsung-galaxy-s5-first-14-things-to-do/.
I also have this lag when I'm trying to respond. It only woks on the 2nd attempt.
There's definitely a knack to answering a call, which can be quite annoying. Cannot understand why they didn't just leave it alone. Would rather answer my calls with a quick swipe to the right.
