For some reason I cannot find the comedy central app in the Google play store. I know I've seen it there before, I want it so I can watch the daily show and Colbert report clips. Does anyone have the apk or know why it's not showing up for me? Thanks!
Sent from my SGH-I337 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
The only things showing up for me via the Play website are the apps for The Daily Show, Tosh.0, and The Colbert Report. According to Comedy Central's site, they launched their app at the beginning of the month, but it's currently available only for iOS 7. Sorry
Thanks, at least it's not just me. The weird thing is I could have sworn they had it before, maybe I imagined it. Thanks again!

If you want a comedy app you can try this one I found on the Play Store: Stand Up Comedy
There was an app for android. I flashed a rom that caused hulu ads to break hulu. Had downloaded and watched full ep of colbert with no issues. Learned about it from the show.
Not sure if i had flashed again and never downloaded it again which i doubt cause I've never had issues with hulu where I normally watch the show. it seems it was pulled giving merit to what johnus said.
but why?
guess i should say I found this post from google, I have a tmo note 3.

Don't know if this has been posted, but there's a new official YouTube app on the market and it's leaps and bounds better than the old one. Definitely worth the update.

I am stock...anyone know how to get the upgrade...I am on version 1.6.21
Edit: never mind....even though it's a pre-installed app and doesn't show in Market as a downloaded app (and thus no upgrade notification is available), you just go into Market, search for Google Youtube and install it like a new app. The pre-installed app will be upgraded.

Just a little bit cooler.
On the bright side, when the video is paused, it keeps buffering.

You would think that if you searched for YouTube which is owned by Google, on the Market, which is also owned by Google, it would be the first one listed. Nope, it is the 9th.
Does anyone have youtube 1.6 apk. The new youtube 2.0 is nice but doesn't let me use youtube ripper. Thanks
new UI is nice but it still sucks at streaming with Froyo... constantly getting "There was a problem playing the video"

Are we still not able to comment on videos or am I missing something?
Just updated now...lovely UI, I like that you can just swipe left/right to view other tabs while video plays. HQ seems more, well, HQ too.
searched "You tube" and it was the first app that it showed...
Much better!! Before I couldnt watch half of the videos. Now everything plays and I'm not waiting on buffering either. I am overclocked so that may help with it not buffering...
Guys I'm hoping someone can explain the following.....
I was looking for a simple RSS reader, I'm sat next to my mate, he's got a gnex too and suggests greader by Google inc, I can see it on his phone and in his market.
I've searched my play store and have a greader app but it's by noinnion even though the asp looks similar to the ogival Google product
Either way I cannot see the original Google version of the reader and he can? Why is this?
Were both in the same geographical area, same os version build, bought them from the same place and have the same regional settings etc but I get totally dif search results
Wtf?!

I'm not sure if this has been discussed or not on the forms here. This is kind of hard to explain..Whenever I'm browsing in the Play Store app on the N10, during a download the app itself flickers (almost like its refreshing) whenever the percentage moves during the downloading process. This has happened way before the updates to the Play Store app as well. I'm running CM 10.1 (Nightly) and the issue is still there. This was one of the first things I noticed when I was running stock too. I was kind of hoping that Play Store Version 4.0.26 fixed it but I guess not.
Has anybody noticed this issue? I highly doubt this a hardware related issue. Games seem to run awesome on it.
Any ideas?
- Brian
I have had the same issue since I got mine in December, running stock.
I've had this issue under JB 4.2 and ICS 4.0 on an Acer a500 and the Nexus N10, no fix found yet.
I get this too… it seems to me like a refresh issue, like the Play Store is trying to load up other images or something. Since no other app does this, I'm pretty sure it's just an app issue.
I've seen it on every rom, every version of the play Store... It may be the refresh for the download causing issues

Yes, because it makes scrolling through 'My Apps' a royal PITA. And sometimes, if its particularly fickle, it keeps returning to one single app over and over.
Thanks for the reply back guys. I didn't know if it was a hardware related or if its just a bug in the app itself. I see that version 4.0,27 got released today. Hopefully this will help!
@bahehs..Do you have jokes or something? I remember my first beer.

Still flickers for me, but at least it doesn't reset to the top of the list every time it flickers now.
Same issue when I'm viewing all my apps during download. Since I can now scroll through my apps during download I don't worry about it much anymore.

When I'm updating multiple apps, it will keep refreshing the first one to the point that I can't click on the next app in line to be updated, because I want to see what the new update has added or changed.
I have the same issue (flickering shop) on my Nexus 7. I've noticed that it happens while downloading larger files, especially games. Sometimes it freezes Google Play completely.
So far I haven't noticed it on my Nexus 10. (But it has different version of Google Play, as far as I can tell).
The latest play store 4.xx resolved my flickers.

Yup, flashing, barely able to see what was going on be it downloading an app or copying a film from a flash drive. Installed AOPK and it is fixed, one solid moving bar as it ought to be.
Mine does this as well. I just leave the play store so I don't have to deal with it. Completely stock.
I get this with paranoid android, but had it before changing. It not only flickers, but when I'm downloading, say, Gmail, and go to another app while in the "My Apps" view, it will revert back to Gmail. Very annoying.

Could be a log file. I'm not sure what it is. I would scan again once it appears. Not sure if it is I needed file or not. I don't have a nex 4 but was looking into getting one that's why I'm at the forum.
You can try sd maid which has a system cleaner. Or change the files permissions if you are worried about it transmitting data. But I wouldn't mess with it too much until you figure out what it is.

You guys could wipe your sdcard with twrp if you are worried, but back up all your wanted sdcard data to a computer first. And then put it back on right after. I do that with my Nexus 7 sometime. Not sure if it is the same process on Nex4. It may not be necessary, not sure.

I have removed the apps I have installed on my Device from the above list, The first one that springs to mind is the go backup. I would check there first.
OK. I have a weird issue. We just brought my wife's galaxy s4 home and I was helping her set it up. She is coming from an iPhone 4 so its a little overwhelming for her. Ha. But anyway. I can't figure out why the play store won't show updates for the preinstalled apps. Like talk wasn't shown to update to hangouts. And Google now didn't show an update in the play store app but when you open the app it asked for an update. Here a couple screenshots of what I ,mean.

Anyway. I just didn't know why they didn't show up on the my apps list at all. None of the preinstalled apps show up. So almost all of the Google apps say they need an update if I search for them but when I look at the my apps they aren't even listed. Weird. None of my other android devices did this before. Oh well. I just wasn't sure if it was a setting in the s4 somewhere that I was missing.

Maybe the apps you have installed were backups? I experienced that before.. I made a backup (titanium) then batch installed it with the new rom, it didn't show any updates in the Playstore but it was listed "installed" in the All Apps tab. I didn't bother to confuse myself anymore )

I'm getting a similar issue, playstore only notifies updates after phone is rebooted, not shure why this is happening =/
Maybe try using the market doctor feature in TitaniumBackup?
Yup. After reboot everything worked. I think it was just taking time because it was a new google account. No titainium restore. She came from an iphone 4.
