[Q] (searching) HTC HD2 (& HD7) WP7.8 Bluetooth Functions Upgrade - HD2 Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting an

Actually Article @ Microsoft Phone Support : windowsphone.com/en-US/how-to/wp7/start/pair-phone-with-a-bluetooth-accessory
My Featured Lines for the question to XDA-Developers.com:
"Windows Phone 7 doesn't support Object Push Profile (OPP). This profile lets you send and receive items such as contacts, pictures, and music over Bluetooth through mobile-to-mobile or mobile-to-computer connections."

I know the Bluetooth features within Windows Phone 7 are "low" ... the BT can't be used for any Filetransfer ... the answer of the Q: Why? is postet in the Support from Microsoft (see link up).
My Question: is there any reason or software patch / app who fixes these "lost feature" now or in future ???

is useless to ask for that...
all support (official and "unofficial") is endedvwith latest 7.8 update.... and most important: HD2 not original WP device and all drivers is modified by developers. this is most reason why WP7 is bugged on HD2...
buy real WP device... when you buy WP8 than you see how is HD2 poor and bad...

Well ...

Dear friend ... as my friend ( @dxdy ) said , HD2 isn't a good device for WPH ( too Old with poor hardware ) but any way I remember that DFT released the app BT file transfer which allowed users to send /recieve thing through BT ... also many ROMs have that For example : HD2O - PDAimatejam , etc. ... But anyway if you want to taste the real taste of WPH you should buy a WPH device ... ... Good Luck
With Best Wishes

OMG...then you're so damn wrong..mate
Currently Almar and his team are developing on porting Android to Omnia i8000 and the progress are awesome. The project is called Omnia2Droid. Below is what I extracted from the Omnia2Droid homepage!
Supported features
Android 2.1 (Eclair)
Display and touchscreen
Hardware keys
Internal and External storage
Sound and FM radio
2D/3D acceleration and brightness control/backlight
Vibrator, accelerometer and compass
Battery driver/charging
Phone
GPS
USB (ADB)
Features under development
Android 2.2 (Froyo)
Wifi (should be quite stable now)
Bluetooth
GSM data
Camera's
Possible future features
Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
Proximity and ambient sensors
TV-Out
And the good news is they already get approval from Samsung to keep on with their project and they're gonna release the beta SOON!!!!!
By the way, improve and check your language and make sure everything you post over here are affirmed before you post'em.
Windows Phone 7 will not ever work on this device. Why? Simple, the kernel, if you will, for this device is Windows CE 5. Windows Phone 7 requires WinCE 7. Which means all hardware must be ported to WinCE 7 for it to work. And Microsoft isn;t going to do that.
The ONLY device which MIGHT get WP7 is the HD2. And I say MIGHT, since it's a tedious task to get it running with the current knowledge on XDA.
On another note: Android is actually a pretty good replacement for Windows Mobile 6.5. I've switched too and I have to say it is alot "fresher" and "finger friendlier".
Just my two cents.
I want to ask is what you said is Windows mobile 7 or Windows phone 7?
Windows Mobile 7 doesn't exsist.

[Q] WM 6.5 instead of WM 7?

Hi,
Is it possible to install WM6.5 onto the Tropy instead of the present version 7?
My company does not support its email exchange software for WM7 and I do not want to get the "outdated" HTC HD2. (Android or Symbian are also not supported ) Do you think it is possible to install WM6.5 until support for the new windows will be available?
Not possible... get the HD2.
HD2 does not work on Verizon's network. I personally need something that can run windows native apps and works on Verizon's network and has a better processor than Imagio.

WP7 on HD2 GOOD<--->BAD

Hello dear Xdas...
I use my HD2 now since November 2010. I just used the Artemis ROM(Thanks for this great ROM!!!), as i was afraid to brick my phone during flashing.
However I installed WP7 (16.05.11 HD2O) yesterday and want to offer some Experience i gathered. Overall i am satisfied at all but some Key features are missing.
PRO
Fast
Energy saving
Good handling in the menu
great appearance
the keyboard is great, i never experienced such a good writin on the HD2 (tried los of keyboards incl. Swype)
So at all its ok.
BUT!!
I usualy used my HD2 as carPC. Through i have an CU-S400 car holder + an car stereo with freetalk and A2DP Profile.
So i miss:
Easy music transfer (Zune iss like iTunes and i hate iTunes!!)
Music player with Visualization and online Streams ( Pocket Player 4 was great!)
A navigationsoftware which dont uses the Web, i want the maps on my SD!
Voicedial doesnt work
No palringo or other multi-protocoll chatclient (I think that will be solved soon )
And Gpc is not available at the moment( I hope xtreme Apps is developing a WP7 version)
Also the missing Outlook syncronization and missing USB stick function su**s a lot.
I think this is not to much, i expect from a mobile. However WM6.5 did all the jobs very well.
Maybe someone has some hints for me to get me more satisfied with WP7.. Or maybe a possibility to make a Dual Boot WP7 and WM6.5 (Plz keep that android crap away from me )
Regards screamor
Btw. Wanna Thank DFT, Cotulla, HD2O and sternas...
@ screamor
For filetransfer like music, ringtones etc. search for touchxperience. It´s a very good app & very easy to handle.

I check this site every day in the hope that someone has got WM running off the SD card, it would complete the device.
I think you need to remember though that WP7 is the best smartphone out there, it isnt however a pocketPC and i think that is what people are compare it too, which is a shame because its not ment to be a pocketpc
i wouldnt go as far as saying android is crap but i would say its boring, its like it has an identity crysis, it doesnt really know what it wants to be, pocketpc or smartphone? and it does neither very well in my opinion
there is a few things missing from WP and personally i think if they created some kind of sandboxed WM environment it would help slove most of these issues but thats just me

htc hd2

why no one says, to be registered Windows7, and how to change the htc hd2 camera, which has no quality, just write about all of the installation, several applications to work well the rest is all loše.postoji the software that works well?? the camera has good images at 6.5 on Windows m hd2

[Q] HTC Watch (HD2)

Does anyone know can get HTC Watch running on the HTC HD2?
It's available now on Marketplace but after instaled didn't recognize HD2 like a Mango device.
HD2 running WP7.5 (7720)
And what it make sense?
The program was originally developed for Android, as Android Market could not buy and download videos (movies and TV series). This is an online service for HTC and there own check of devices. I installed on HTC HD2 firmware on Disare HD, it was defined as Disare HD. The program run without error but all sections were empty.
In the general case you must edit the registry on the phone to say it the system detects how HTC HD7 or HTC Surround.
But if you really want to buy a video, it can be done in Marketplace.Or download from the internet and sync through the Zune.
what makes it sense to stick a set of 32" rims on a car? it's just to proof that it can be done, and to have fun! so your answer was not as usefull as you may have thought while typing....
No problem with me , i love HD2 with mango thanks to XDA !!!!
I just downloaded it & it worked. Didn't have to do anything, no registry changes or anything.
Sent from my King LEO using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
can someone fix this please
