Hello
I've recently purchased a phone and I was wondering where does a simple compass application get the x,y and z values from the magnetometer (magnetic sensor).
I'm trying to find out where would the corresponding files be and if there is any way to change them, since the Z axle is inverted on the phone... it's a code fault, but if it can be manually corrected then it will be of great help when using gps/compass based apps.
I'm sorry if this isn't the correct place but since it surely invloves coding, i assumed it should be here.
thank you
If someone can help...i have made a video explaining the problem

Hi Guys,
Im new to android app development and I need to know if either "android.gesture" would be suitable to use for my app or to just use the event listeners.
This app requires users to draw on the touch screen. (eg: Draw a square) The app will then assess if the drawing is correct. And will return a correct or incorrect
Any ideas would be of great help!
I have posted many questions here in this x2 general thread...but didnt get any correct answer yet
Some of my questions are :
1. How to use front cam for taking pics using my x2....
"Please find out something if there is no solution for that even now"
2.How to record calls in my x2 ?
I have tried almost all call recorders..but no use....
I think there is some problems associated with x2 microphone...
"Some problems with my Skype too...Thats y thought so "
If so Please find some tweaks for this too
3. Another one was regarding the information box / dialogue box....
It wont show the complete message...it will display only 1st 3 lines
Please Help by Responding/Suggesting ideas....
While i was using my HTC Touch P 3450...i get many helps from this site...but for my Xperia x2...its just the reverse case

and i want to see what this activity does.
Where i find this activity?
I don,t have a droid x phone.
Can someone help me?
All visual impaired people will thanks you
sorry for my english
This activity exists within some of Motorola's code. I can't tell you exactly where it is, but I recommend that you download a Droid X system dump and start with looking through blur-res.apk and moto-res.apk.

Someone?
what is the best way for a program to call on the gps? i have a program that uses gps to track the vehicle the device is in, but the gps doesnt seem to be picked up by the program on my i9000 it was designed for the htc desire but i would imagine android handles most of the comms to the hardware and passes it to the programs, am i correct here? if im wrong and the hardware is being addressed directly would that explain my problem? also would there be any way to solve the issue? (i have decompiled the apk)
this is a program not written by me so uploading code from it is not really an option (unless its direct to the person helping)
thanks, melli

Hi,
Whilst XDA has a reputation as being a community of hackers, we use the term hacker quite loosely and do not engage in illegal or morally questionable acts.
Therefore you will find no help for what you want to do on XDA.

Jonny
