Assuming that your phone is rooted and working properly except for the bootloop
issue you are having when trying to get into recovery, do the following...
Go to the playstore and download "goomanager" a free app
and click the menu softkey on left side of phone then select
"flash open recovery script".
Then wait til it gets done and when it's done just reboot the phone.
That's the easiest way to solve your bootloop issue.
Another good free app you can use is "TWRP Coordinator" which
you can download from the playstore too, after installing this app
simply select the option to flash twrp recovery then after it gets
done simply reboot the phone.
Good luck!

I have checked that I am rooted with root checker.
I installed twrp via Odin and tried to reboot into recovery and I am still stuck in an endless loop.
I get a message saying
"Recovery is not seandroid enforcing"
Any help?

So, I have been attempting to flash TWRP recovery using flashify. I have the ATT G2, and I am rooted of course. People have said they had success but I can't seem to get it to work for me. I downloaded the TWRP .img from herehttp://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/g2att and attempted to flash via flashify. It takes about 2 seconds then says "flash successful reboot now or flash more" but when I attempt to get into recovery(power button volume down until LG logo then let go and repress) and it shows up "factory reset device. Press power button if yes, press any other button to cancel". What am I doing wrong?

Bumping due to a similar question. I downloaded the updated TWRP and flashed the "recovery.img" file in flashify. It said it was successful then I booted into recovery and the screen is black with the backlight on. I have to hold power for about 10 seconds and it reboots into my current ROM with no issues. Any thoughts on why TWRP isn't there anymore? It was for a while while I flashed CM 10.2. Just tried to update TWRP since I want to try some CM11 roms. Thanks in advance!
If you also have the AT&T version, then this is the file you should be flashing using Flashify... openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.2-g2att.img
... then in order to update to 2.6.3.3, flash openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-g2att.zip from recovery.

I completely borked my phone. I installed the OTA update with TWRP installed and now stuck in recovery mode.
After the OTA update the phone entered recovery where I accidentally wiped EVERYTHING!
Phone WILL NOT enter download mode.
I AM able to use adb to push roms to sdcard. I AM able to install said rom. Upon reboot it flashes "LG" logo and then right back to recovery.
I AM able to use adb to sideload rom to phone. Sideload will complete successfully. Upon reboot it flashes "LG" logo and then right back to recovery.
I pushed CWM zip and flashed and it worked. But I still have exact same problem.
EDIT: This was the fix!!!! I guess I didn't enter the code correctly.

I see there are TONS of threads with being stuck in recovery. I probably shouldn't have created another one. But I don't understand how I have a fully functioning recovery with ADB support and am able to install roms.
I will Paypal donate $20 bucks to whoever guides me to fix this problem.
Follow the "return stock" threads. Once done toy can reroot your phone

I have looked into that. They all seem to require the ability to enter download mode.

Everytime i run the recovery it take me to a black screen with a green android lying with its belly open.

You could always use flashify. Use it to download the TWRP .zip. Extract the .img file into the phone, then use flashify to flash that .img file you extracted. Reboot into recovery to see if it stuck.

I recently updated my note to 4.4 officialy. Now i wanted to root my device [Galaxy Note2 N7100]. I used the method which roots the device by first installing TWRP recovery And then installing Super Su from that. But when i install from odin, after that recovery finishes from odin the place where PASS should come, its just comes as RESET. I tried doing this from other site also, still the same problem. Nothing happened to my phone, but still i need help as i want to root.
Also when i connect my phone the small box turns blue, so i guess my drivers are also installed correctly, please help me with an easy method as I am a noob with rooting. THANKS in advance

Why TWRP?
Try Philz CWM Advanced Edition from here...
When odin says PASS ,immediately press & hold VOL_UP + HOME + POWER buttons until device boots into recovery.
OR
Untick AUTO REBOOT option in odin before flashing recovery. After PASS try above mentioned method.
After boot into recovery select INSTALL and then browse to your SU.zip & flash it.
Then,
select REBOOT & then SYSTEM options respectively.
it asks you to overwrite stock recovery, then select YES.
Done, Now you r Rooted & installed.
HIT THANKS IF I HELPED YOU!

Hello,
I have the T-Mobile variant of the S5 and I am trying to install a custom recovery and it doesn't send it over to my phone. I tried to push over both TWRP and Philz Touch and Odin3 said they both succeed in installing. However, when I go into recovery, it shows the stock recovery still. At the top it says "Android system recovery <3e> LRX1T.G900TUVU1DOB1". I have been looking it up for a while now and I can't seem to figure it out. I do have Android version 5.0 stocked and not rooted on my phone.
How I tried to do it in Odin:
I made sure that only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time were selected.
Then I checked off PDA and navigated to both the philz_touch_6.57.8-klte.tar.md5 and flashed it. After I rebooted my phone I went to check the recovery and it was still stock. It was the same exact way with the openrecovery-twrp-2.8.5.0-gt-klte.tar file I flashed.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Brandon
I have same problem on dual sim variant.

Hmmmmmm, well good to know it isn't just my phone. I also forgot to mention I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit edition with the latest Samsung drivers.
Happened here too, ended up having to root with "CF Auto Root", then install TWRP recovery with "TWRP Manager" from Google Play (Free)
It's because of the auto reboot. That needs to be unchecked, after the flash is done, pull the battery and reboot into recovery using the buttons.

This worked perfectly. Thank you!
Edit: Right afterwards when I tried to go back into it, the recovery was back to stock.
That's strange, it should have stayed custom

I had to do your steps about 3 more times until it actually stuck. Now I have a custom recovery installed. Thank you again!
Glad it worked!
