Challemge to GN 10.1 2014 P600 Developers - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) General

UNITE!
Splintered Development is why Linux is losing out against Windows.
Splintered Development is why Unix lost out to DOS.
I beseech to, I Challenge all of you developers to UNITE to create the BEST ROM out there.
I would suggest UNITING to create the best LINUX ROM based upon the following:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Nexus7
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Nexus7/Developers
But UNITING to create the BEST Android ROM would work just as well.
The Goal, though, is UNITE!

Now Linux Mint LDME on Note 10.1 would be somwthing

[ROM][DEV][Frustrated User] CM 10.1 unofficial for i9500

Hii guys,
I am too frustrated using the crappy stock ROM on Galaxy S4(i9500). I have used CM ever since I owned a Galaxy S, then on S2 and S3 also.
I will try to develop CM 10.1 derivative ROM for i9500. I am so frustrated with stock that I am going to try my level best into getting it to work.
I have proficient knowledge in Java and C++. But I have zero knowledge in ROM development. So all the development help that anyone of you can provide will be helpful.
Codeworkx, xplodwild, AndreiLux, nebkat, supercurio, Faryaab and all the other devs please guide me.
Wish me luck..
Thanks
Is this a good place to start?

Sailfish OS on N7000

As some of you know the guys of Jolla have decided to put Sailfish OS on (older) Android smartphones, since the development of Ubuntu Touch is stuck due to a lack of drivers and Jolla officially porting the Sailfish OS to the S3 it seems that they have found a way to get the modem of the S3 working. (https://twitter.com/benwood/status/437894439378640896/photo/1)
A developer from Jolla also said that this about the Microsoft trade in for the S2: https://twitter.com/HarriHakulinen/status/433163017555959808.
So there seems to be hope, now I waswondering how the user and developer interest for Sailfish OS is. So I made a poll.

Nowhere, it hasn't been released (and I haven't heard any news of them planning to release it for us).
Sailfish OS for the Samsung Galaxy Note - N7000

Can someone please make a kernel with nethunter support?I'll donate some $$

I pledge $50
You might be better off grabbing a book and learning how to make a Custom ROM dude.
I don't think there will be many folks out there wanting to run Kali linux locally on their devices (same with the Ubuntu OS for Android as well, you might have better luck posting there firstly)

C and .img start point

Hello,
I have an Acer Iconia a500 with Skrilax_CZ's bootloader V8, and I was wondering how to make my own firmware from scratch, in C.
How can I make a .img to install it on my tablet?
Is there a good lib to use in C for this tablet?
There is a lot more questions I would like to ask, but this two will be a good start.
I know it's a big project to make my own firmware, but I rellay like low-level programming!
well it's a linux kernel modified to run this tablet on android GUI
tegraowners.com has developed many kernels for this as well as a lubuntu front end with the latest linux kernel.
the android development is closed code but the linux kernel development is posted to github and maintained
perhaps that is where you want to look.
I doubt that you will get much step by step from the developers but the linux kernels should get you a good starting point

[Request] Ubuntu Touch port for land

I am bored of Android and don't have enough money to buy iphones so I want to try Ubuntu touch but very few Nexus devices are officially supported.
They do have a detailed guide to port it to any other device but i Don't have knowledge about how to build it. I am noob and it isn't my field (I am a Mech Engg Student ?)
So it is my humble request if any dev could build it for Redmi 3sp?
This is the detailed guide:
https://docs.halium.org/en/latest/
I am posting this in ROM thread because i didn't get any response from any dev in discussion thread. Hopefully someone will see this and port Ubuntu touch to land
I also want to use Ubuntu Touch in my Redmi3S, I searched a lot but it's still unavailable for this device. I'm also waiting to get an Ubuntu ROM for Redmi3S. Hope somebody will build it soon for us!
Afaik ubuntu touch has been discontinued after they shifted to Gnome from Unity.
