Hello, I am a super noob and just wanted to ask some questions. I recently bought a Nexus 4 and successfully rooted it with all the help of a tool kit from the forum. After trying 5-6 custom roms i decided that i want to keep to stock rom, therefore the following questions came up. 1) Can I put mods like the X-beats or Wi-Fi fix or the YouTube fix (all found in this forum) in the stock rom or not? and 2) In Greece there is a problem with the sms characters, in particular we can't get 160 chars per sms. In the roms I used, only in 2-3 of them this was fixed. So my next question is: Can I fix this in the stock rom (without adding an extra sms app or extra keyboard via the play store). Thanks in advance.. I 'll be waiting for your answers..
Answers:
1) Yes I can cause I tried it and my Nexus didn't explode and they work fine!
2) Still don't know, although the extra keyboard (tried 2 off them) didn't work out only 64 characters. So any other ideas would be appreciated thanks again for your time..
You can replace the stock mms apk with a modded one. There are a couple here in the themes and apps section and a couple in the Galaxy Nexus themes and apps section that will work.

Aslam O Alaikum,
I'm going to give you a complete tutorial For Rooting + Fix of Battery Drain DUE to ANDRIOD OS
* This will work on All Note 5 Variants (T-Mobile SM-N920T, Canadian SM-N920W8, US Celluar SM-N920R4, Korean SM-N920K, SM-N920S, SM-N920L,SM-N920C, SM-N920G, and SM-N920I) Mention Here.
Reason : First I tell you why this happen, When you first time root a Stock ROM and then you came back on Stock ROM or Un-brick/Unroot to Install Offical Stock ROM, it happen that Note 5 start draining battery.
Solution : There are a lot of solution available but i personally found that all are some how use some resources like when you install an "BatteryDrainFix.apk' (After Rooting) it always run in the background, and this is not a permanent Solution.
After 3,4 days of research and testing i found that the below method of Fixing is easy and very useful and also it doesn't use your extra memory resources so its a permanent solution..
I found the Tutorial here..
Follow the Instruction and have a good day.
NOTE : Use on your own Risk
I don't follow. He just seems to root it? You posted the same link twice.
I've rooted/unrooted multiple times. Full format multiple times (checkbox city in TWRP advanced wipe). Tried 4 different ROMS and 3 different kernels, 5+ Battery Historian diagnostics, multiple versions of gapps and I've made zero progress getting anything above 3.5 hours SoT.

That's still absolutely atrocious. I have the screen on extremely dark, no apps running, just browsing blogs and reddit on Sync with AMOLED mode.
If I do this on my Oneplus One (from early 2014) I can literally wake up, do it all day and have the phone not die before I go back to sleep. 4 hours screen-on-time is ****ty chinese knock-off levels of garbage battery.
I have N920i and I didn't root my phone but after MM update I have battery drain issue (Android OS) any suggestions?

Hi everybody,
for this one I am still looking for some solution to either switch off save mode or setup multiple users / profiles.
As posted here I could not get multiple users/profiles to work.
Also switching off safe mode is not possible with installed ROM.
So can please someone tell me whether I can update the ROM (e.g. using a custom firmware or so) or how to be able to setup multiple profiles / users which are working?
Thanx in advance!
Bye
Le-2 users have faced echo problems while making calls in Android Q. . I was able to resolve mine X522 model by adding these lines into my build.prop and reboot
persist.vendor.audio.fluence.mode=fluence
persist.vendor.audio.vr.enable=false
persist.vendor.audio.handset.mic=analog
persist.vendor.audio.voice.clarity=none
You can also add these lines to your build.prop if the first fix didn't work and reboot
ro.vendor.audio.sdk.fluencetype=none
persist.vendor.audio.fluence.voicerec true
persist.vendor.audio.fluence.voicecall false
persist.vendor.audio.fluence.speaker true
persist.vendor.audio.handset.mic=analog
persist.vendor.audio.voice.clarity=none
no results :/ In what rom you tried?
So far there is no solution for the echo in Android 10 roms. I still get very surprised with the number of Android 10 roms for S2, if they know very well the echo problem without any fix so far. Why not waiting to release those roms when a solution is found? This is just to say don't waste your time with those type of solutions because they don't work. Some of them were made for very different devices and they don't work on LeEco Le 2 (on Android 10). This is just placebo.
Hi. I'm trying with no effect this solution. May I ask you on which ROM did you use it ?
