nope...
ours is a 2600mAh battery,
and taking 3-4 hours to charge this battery is quite normal when input current is 3.7v
Takes 2 - 3 hours. Depends on at what percents did you start to charge it.

Wont charge beyond 94%
My phone (Grand 2) takes 3-4 hours to charge up to 92-94%, but will never reach 100%. It will be stuck anywhere between 92-94% :crying:
I tried restarting the phone whenever the charging is stuck, but no use. But if I remove the battery and re-insert it, I could see a progress in charging and it finally reaches 100%. So, I thought a phone reset may help, but again, no luck.
Any suggestion is really appreciated.
Thanks!
U r right bro...lags in battery

Check your charger. If the output is 1 Ampere, it should not get stuck at 94%. If it is 0.7A, it will struggle at 94%.
Click on thanks if you think I helped.

i had the same problem today. i started charging from 2% and it took 5hrs to reach 92%. then i kept the charger plugged in for another 1hr bt i saw only 1% increased.bt pulling off the battery and putting it back helped to reach 100% within another 15mins. and i checked the charger.its showing the output current to be 1A . wht should i do? is it a problem?
Are you guys using DU Battery Saver? It sometimes makes my phone charge fast at those late stages (90-100%) maybe it might help!

Does anybody else have a very slow charging time? It nearly takes 2-4 hours to charge. Is this normal? This is plugged into the power outlet, not usb.

Yup. Completely normal.
Wow, that's fast... I have a Galaxy player with a smaller battery and it takes a full 8 hours to charge. Can't wait for my N7.
Try charging an iPad2 or the new iPad.
2-4hrs is not bad given the battery life.
Yup, just the normal super slow Nexus 7 charging.
Are you kidding me? It charges fast as hell! My iPad takes at least 8 hours to charge completely, this thing charges in like 3 hours. How much faster can it get?

Ouch, took me less time then that to charge my N7 from <10% to 100% via USB...
Hi all,
To all those who have battery charging prob i.e it takes more than 2.5 hours to fully charge feom zero.
There is simple solution, drain out your battery completely and then charge, do the same thing once again and you are all good..
FYI, I had same prob and now its fixed

my note2 charge from 1% to 100% in about 2:10 hours
What I've seen is that the charging current keeps altering on every charge. From 900 MA to 1300 MA. It's 1300 MA most of the time, but sometimes it goes below that and then charging period becomes longer!
I've tested 3 different units, with 3 different charger and they all act the same. Weird but that's what happens.

I agree with u.when I unboxed my note 2 with factory rom.and was using almost 7 days the charging was fast when I changed my rom to rooted and moded rom it takes long.
Well im on factory rom and still it takes 2.5 hours

Some times, a longer charge means better mAh input.

how much time it takes?
Depends on the battery state of charge.
Figure with tablet on but sleeping, about 10-15% per hour.
About 3 hours from 10% with oem charger & cable
But that's with it turned off, right?

On or off does not matter unless you are using the device.

I get about +40%/h.
for me, sometimes 4h...sometimes 6h...
You should be able to get it fully charged in a little under 4 hours.

wrong sub section but in answer, my s2 done that all the time almost after flashing a rom.
could start off at 100%, flash a rom and itd be at say 25% then start building up again toward its correct %. no biggy, its kinda normal :good:
Wrong section to post this but this problem also happens on my s2, it is something wrong with the fuel gauge. Just do regular charging and discharging and it should return to normal.

Your battery has a problem. Cause of overcharging.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda premium
If you've flashed a new rom, often the history of battery values and voltages get messed up. So its not really sure what percentage of battery is left when the battery is at X volts for example. Usually a complete discharge followed by a full charge should recalibrate the battery monitoring.

It's hard to tell from the info you've posted. But you're screen is on all the time so it looks pretty normal. How much screen on time to you get?

2.5 hours of screen on time and taking 5 to 6 hours for full charge

2.5 hours is on the low end of normal, but not unheard of. When charging are using usb? That sounds right. If you're using ac that's long. When charging go to settings, battery and it'll show ac or usb charging

I'm not sure if you're using a wall charger or not. If you are your cable is probably bad. It could also be your charger

Hot Google Nexus 4. Yikes! Help!
So I dialed in *#*# 4636*#*#, went to battery information and Holy F*ck.I was just downloading an app or two on the Play Store. (My hands feel like they've been bitten by red ants.) I am seriously gonna lose it on this phone I actually plan on putting it on the freezer the next time this occurs. I just finished doing a factory reset btw so..
